The trace has become my go to distance driver. It is very controllable and dependable. At first, it is slightly overstable but breaks in quickly. On slight hyzer, the trace will flip up to flat and ride a straight line. Thrown flat, the trace will exhibit some turn before fading out reliably. As I was learning to throw distance drivers, the trace was the only one I threw for a while because of how comfortable I felt throwing it. It holds line very well and has a dependable finish.

If you like the Grace from Lat64, but don't want to overpay for funky colors on the rim, and are tired of waiting for it to be in stock, this is the disc to try.  Flight is almost identical, plastic is top shelf, and it's both cheaper and more available.  I think Streamline deliberately chose a name one letter away from Grace to hint at this parallel.  It's a great disc to get maximum distance from moderate arms.  Loved the neutron one I was throwing in the fall, now have a few different plastics in it and I'm excited to see how they fly this spring once the weather gets reasonable.

I bought this disc right before a round and aced in its debut throw. I may be a little biased but I still throw this disc fairly regularly and can get a flex flight out of it. I think that it is more beginner friendly than Destroyer's which many people turn to but even advanced players can still use it and find more uses for this than they could for a disc similar to a Destroyer

    170g Plasma & 171g Cosmic Neutron

This disc was my first real distance driver when I started playing the game and I haven't really felt the need to buy anything else, the Trace is an absolute workhorse. As with most MVP discs, plasma is slightly understable compared to neutron and cosmic is slightly overstable, so I bag. Plasma I throw on a slight amount of hyzer and it flips up and holds it for longer than you'd think, but doesn't really move far right - gets really great distance and then has a predictable fade. Cosmic Neutron doesn't really flip, I can release it flat and it goes straight for 350' before fading, or if I'm into a headwind I release it the same way as my plasma in no wind and it behaves exactly the same - I'd even put the turn on Cosmic at -.5 as it flies fairly similar to a fast Volt. It's such a predictable and far flying disc, that I use it anytime I really need to place a drive far and accurate, my only other distance drivers are a Mayhem which is not nearly as accurate (but bombs) and a Teleport which is for stiff headwinds or big force flexes, the Trace is for every other drive. For reference I drive around 400' on an average drive.

On top of that, you get the benefits of MVP's awesome plastic, which takes forever to beat in and feels fantastic, and it's way cheaper than most premium plastic drivers. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for an accurate distance driver, even newer players can use this as long as they're able to get the nose down. Awesome disc that's never leaving my bag.

    168 Plasma Trace

I did not bag this disc initially, but now use it regularly for a variety of shots. It definitely felt more stable than I anticipated out of the box. It is still quite stable, but is beginning to beat in a little and offer more glide. It took a while, but now I can say that it is flying according to the numbers and just as I anticipated.

The feel of the disc is incredible. The plastic is great. It fits my relatively small to medium sized hands very well and always flew extremely consistent. As my form and speed were improving, the disc flew very OS. Now, I can use it for very straight shots with a predictable, but somewhat gentle fade, at the end. I also use this a lot for my lengthy hyzer shots. The disc is the perfect balance of stability and glide for my arm speed. It is one of my better discs for fighting off a relatively strong wind. I can throw a hyzer into a 10-15 mph wind and get the disc to fly quite well.

Overall, I love the disc and always bag it. I think it will continue to beat in a little more and provide even more distance. My only concern is that many of the colors (mine included) blend in with nature a little too well. It is only a matter of time until I lose this disc and that will be an unpleasant day.

I have 169g Plasma. Flies true to it's flight numbers from start. Glides like no other driver I've ever seen. It's the furthest flying disc in my bag

The Plasma SL Trace just dethroned my GStar Tern as my favorite Stable distance driver. I really like the flex on the -1 turn 2 fade. I happy that my good throws will look just like the flight path chart; 400 feet and land just slightly left with a good fade. I still try to keep it low enough just to maximize the flex, but not let it stall out by throwing too high. I have a little harder time controlling the Tern – sometimes I get too much turn and sometimes too much fade. This is of course due to my inconsistent release, but I feel the Trace is more forgiving if I don’t make my best release.

Rim width is 2.1 cm (vs Tern’s 2.3) which doesn’t seem like much, but I find the 2.1 cm more comfortable to grip. Also, the Plasma SL plastic is excellent.

I’m not opposed to throwing the Trace forehand – works pretty well in practice, but if I wanted to get my best FH flex using a distance driver I would prefer to use something more stable, like a Ballista Pro.

This disc goes straight with a touch of fade. Comfortable in the hand. Forehand can hyzer-flip and glide with a soft fade. Backhand thrown flAt will turn more than anticipated and usually comes back as long it wasn't thrown too low. Easy and controlled distance.

This is a great distance driver and I actually retired my favorite very beat in Destroyer because this disc was flying so similar at 167g in Plasma.  You can definitely get some turn from this disc, but with enough height this disc will come back.  For slower arm speeds or if you dial back your power you can get a pretty straight flight out of this disc when thrown flat.  I still reach for this disc in light/medium wind conditions, as it isn't too flippy and can hold a hyzer pretty well.  The S turn on this disc usually ends pretty reliably straight and barely off center.

This disc is fantastic! First of all, plasma plastic is some of the best in the business. It is absolutely gorgeous, very grippy, and very durable. The triple color stamp and the plastic has really impressed me as I am pretty new to streamline discs. The flight of the disc reminds me of a beat in trespass from dynamic discs. The trace is very glidy and allows for those long, pushing shots that go forever. I live at high elevation so everything flies more stable for me, although I do have a decent arm (450+). I would recommend this disc to anyone who throws over 250 ft as it has a place in anyones bag. I can get a little turn out of the disc but it comes back reliably for me. The only shot that I don't like this disc for is a straight headwind shot as the glide really lifts the disc and can make the flight unreliable. Overall this is a fantastic disc and I would recommend it for anyone.

The plasma plastic looks and feels amazing. Disc seemed to fly true to the flight numbers. I needed a driver to add to my bag and this filled the spot.

Great disc for backhand. Can turn over for an s curve but always wants to fight back to stable. I like the feel of this disc. Seems very durable, been throwing mine for a year now no Knicks or gouges.

This disc is a staple in my bag, and if I lost it I'd have to get another one.  One of the most dependable discs I've ever owned.  I can absolutely lay into this thing (RHBH) with no fear of it turning over on me, flies straight as a bullet for the majority of its flight, with a strong fade just at the end.  On the right shot the fade gives it great potential for a really sharp skip and flair, which can be awesome for bending around a dog leg right at the end.  My go to when I need a straight, low canopy laser.

A word to the wise though:  I got mine in the Plasma line, and while the grip and feel of the disc is fantastic, for some reason they chose to make the colors of the ones available here to somehow be the exact colors of the dirt, the leaves, and the dirt beneath the leaves all at once.  On my screen it looked like it would be this shiny copper sort of color, but in reality it might as well be wearing ghillie suit.  I spent so much time looking for this disc, even when I knew exactly where it went, even when I was standing right next to it, that I finally had to take some bright colored sharpies to it just to make it visible.  Again, really great plastic (think it's basically L64's Gold Line), but just a heads up on that.

This disc is my most reliable and one of the best discs I own. I throw it forehand with some anhyzer and that thing holds it for like 300ft. I call it my FHBH disc because I forehand it bt it flies like a backhand. I don't go play without it. I have the plasma 169 gram. Would buy again if something were to ever happen to it.

    I'll review all 3 plastics:

169 Plasma Blue: It's a bit gummier than I prefer but still a nice feel, definitely the softest of the 3.  Firmer than G-Star but much softer than say Champion.  Excellent grip.  The plastic is a good combination of firm but still has some give to it.  Having said that, this is my least favorite of the 3 plastics.

167 Proton: This is the firmest of the 3 plastics, very similar to Lucid. Great grip, probably my favorite of the 3 plastics.  I bought a light blue 167 and this had the most high speed turn of the 3.  Now it was only -0.5 more turn but I had my longest throws with this disc.  I think this will be my main distance driver, but it needs more testing. (11, 5, -1.5, 2)

167 Neutron Orange: Right in the middle of the Plasma & Proton for softness. I'd compare this to Goldline.  This was probably my most consistent of the 3 drivers, it held true to the numbers I posted.

Trace: I would compare this to a beat in star wraith or a much more reliable pro wraith.  When I throw this side by side with my beat in Star Wraith they have almost identical flights, the Wraith having slightly more glide, but they end up a few feet a part. So if you have that beat in Wraith you can never replace this is a disc that can replace it right out of the box.  Or if you are like me and want a step up over the 9 speed stuff, this is a very reliable, long driver.  I think the numbers are spot on for someone in the 350'-375' range.

The Trace is a staple in my bag now as I love how predictable and fluid this disc is. Lighter weight for flex shots, heavier for great distance in a headwind. I love how straight this flies with a hyzer flip up and finishes with a decent fade. Kudos to Streamline for an amazing driver!

The trace in plasma plastic is by far one of the best drivers i own. It tends to be a little more under stable than the proton plastic, i would say that it fits right between the neutron and proton plastics. When you put this thing on an anhyzer it does very well on keeping that line and then has a nice big fade for it to come back. forehand throw tends to fly very straight with a decent fade. releasing flat the disc does what is listed. The glide for this disc is pretty decent it seems like it wants to go forever. Throwing this disc on a hyzer it tends to flip up and go straight and then finish with a big fade. With the plasma plastic it seems to hook a lot harder than the other plastics. This disc is definitely a staple in my bag and that goes across all plastics. this plastics seems very easy to control and manipulate. I can use this disc on a wide array of placements. I prefer to use this in a tight wooded area using a forehand throw.By far my favorite version of this disc and if not my favorite driver. I hive a big hand to the guys at mvp axiom streamline factory.
