    172g Neutron Trace

I found a slightly beat in Trace at the used section of my favorite local disc store, Easy 3 Disc Golf in Everett WA. At the time my mobility was limited due to a minor injury and I was not able to throw a Wraith effectively. The particular Trace I found solved the problem. Now able to move normally again, the Trace might stay in my bag. I cannot comment on the flight when brand new but after some use it does not require a ton of power to get a nice 11 5 -1 2 flight. Not as straight as an MVP Trail but also has less turn and less fade than my slightly beat in Star Wraith. The Neutron plastic is holding up well, feels good, and is easy to grip even in the rain. The price of a Trace on Infinite Discs also compares favorably to many similar discs. The Trace is an under rated option and definitely worth a try.

174g neutron. Maybe just a tick more stable than the numbers out of the box, this is what I reach for when a 12 speed is a bit too much and I need a decent end of flight fade, forehand or backhand. It'll stand up to a decent headwind, too. The plastic feels nice, as always, as does the shape of the disc. Streamline premium plastic at $12-13 is probably the best deal in disc golf, as far as normal prices go. Most underrated brand, in my opinion.

I'd say this disc flies pretty true to its flight numbers. I bought this disc to replace my DD1 & Grace and I'd say it's in between them at a cheaper & more accessible cost. It's not as tight as a DD1 and it's not going to glide like a Grace but it feels comfortable better forehand than the previous two. Just bought a Plasma to see how it flies.

This disc feels great in the hand, very comfortable rim size and the neutron plastic feels really good too. This disc is very comparable to a star wraith in terms of flight path, speed, and glide, but there are some minor differences. The Neutron Plastic has a better feel than the Star plastic, I have also noticed that the Neutron plastic does not beat in as fast as Star plastic so you can get a lot more throws out of this disc before it becomes so under stable that it is unusable except for rollers. This disc will keep the integrity of its natural flight path a little better than a wraith into a head wind (the wraith turns over a little more). This disc also tends to have a larger skip at the end too.

So if your looking for a some thing that flies like a star wraith, but it less expensive, lasts longer, handles a head wind better, skips harder and feels better in the hands, this is your disc.

    175 Neutron SL

I bought this disc because as a person with the name Trace I felt I was required to buy it when I saw it on the shelf of my local disc golf shop, so I may be slightly bias but I think this is a phenomenal disc for backhand and forehand. First of all, the Neutron Plastic has amazing feel, grip and durability. I am about an intermediate skilled player but I can throw the Trace about 300 ft backhand and still be accurate, but I think as long as you have little bit of experience with drivers this disc is accurate at any skill level. This baby has a good distance range as well and a reliable and predictable finish so pretty much what I am saying is this disc is an all around work horse.

Great disc from streamline. For me, this flies like a more dependable wraith, having wraith control, with Destroyer distance. It took me a while to figure out. Now I have I it dialed in. I throw it on hyzer, it pops up, rides straight, and fades dependable every time.

For reference: I can throw my Trace 425' using a rangefinder.

I have this disc in neutron and plasma. The neutron plastic feels better in the hand to me (almost like a cross between star and discmania neo), but they are very similar. Their stability doesn't seem to change which is nice. Flies very straight with a reliable finish, less harsh than a new wraith. This disc holds its own in the wind, really doesn't flip much into headwind and still comes back.

A great distance driver for all conditions. I primarily throw Photon as my main driver for this speed but bagged a Neutron Trace as a more understable driver. It is close to a photon but I found it has more turn and seems to glide more before the fade kicks in for a soft landing. Proton plastic is also a good option but I prefer the feel of neutron for all-weather and more grip.

Neutron Trace - fantastic 11 speed distance driver with great distance potential. It has the perfect amount of turn to where you're not in much danger of turning n' burning it, but it will flip up for you or turnover just enough to let it glide out. It would be well suited for intermediate arms, maybe beginners as well.

This is a great control driver for precision shots. Versatile too. I can release it flat at max speed for a smooth turnover shot but where this disc really shines for me is with a slight hyzer flip. She pops up to flat, coasts 400ft, with a reliable finish. At a speed of 11 you can still keep your touch while getting max distance. The Trace has quickly become a staple of my bag.

I had never hear of Streamline until I received this as a Christmas gift from a non disc golfer. I absolutely love this disc and its ability to stay straight for so long. Slightly under stable, it feels great in the hand and can be used in all sorts of ways. I wish Streamline made more discs like this.

So, if a Destroyer is too overstable for you, or wide-rimmed distance drivers are uncomfortable in your hand, the Trace is perfect for you. These things bomb, and essentially have a flight pattern very similar to the Wraith, with maybe a touch less stability.

This disc broke the 300ft barrier for me on the first throw! Awesome for flicking, this baby will handle the speed and it just travels like a spear, with a nice little fade at the end! Literally changed my game when I started using this for controllable distances. I love the foil wrap, it glistens in the sun and really makes it easy to spot. The Neutron plastic feels great and man does it slice the air. Got my first one at lighter weight and then when I lost it, I switched it to 172gms .. way better control for me. I am totally a fan of this disc!

The Neutron Trace offers an incredibly comfortable feel: It's flat, edges are decently sharp, and the Neutron plastic affords a familiar feel if you're used to throwing Neutron plastic from either MVP or Axiom.

As far as flight goes I think it's similar to an Innova Wraith or a slower Dynamic Discs Sheriff. It's fast and the glide allows it to carry well. Thrown hard enough it will demonstrate some high speed turn, and then come back with reliable fade. I am a LHBH player and I can typically throw ~400ft and up to ~450ft. When I threw the Trace flat and high enough for a full flight I could get it up to the 425ft range. On wooded courses the Trace on a hyzer flip would remain relatively straight and have an earlier fade; earlier, but predictable.

For newer players the SL Trace may be a good choice for utility shots and open holes. More advanced players will find that the SL Trace will bridge the gap between fairway/control drivers and full distance drivers.

I originally bought a proton Trace a while back and I thought it was an ok disc, but at the time I didn't have the power to utilize it. I recently picked up a Neutron Trace and have more power than the first time I used this disc. I was really impressed. For me, the Trace is a better wraith. I don't have the power to throw destroyers, so the trace is a great straight to left finisher (RHBH) that I can get good distance on without killing it. I can also flick this disc fairly straight. I think the Streamline trace is an excellent workhorse control driver for folks in the 350-400 ft driving distance range.

I have a near max weight Neutron and near max weight Plasma.  The neutron is a little flatter with a slightly higher PLH - Plasma isn't 'domey' but more dome than the Neutron.  Hand feel - its decent.  It had almost a sharp edge which is a little different feel but not terrible (just not great)

Plastic is fairly firm for both (yes even the plasma) - Flights are what I was expecting 11/5/-0.5/2.5 for the Neutron and 11/5/-1/2 for the Plasma.  Neither are flippy flippy - both handle some headwind.  As they work in though I could see it having a more -2/2 kinda turn and fade.   Its a workhorse driver for decent distance.  It has the rim width of a 10 or 11 speed but given its SO aerodynamic it's clearly a speed 11 (as it goes pretty darn far)

Its a great disc for people who want a max distance disc that don't really like Super Wide rim discs, its much easier to grip even with smaller hands than say a Destroyer or Katana.

Its a nice disc, I like it, mainly used for max D on short courses (so i dont need to bag a bunch of 12-13 speeds) or as a control fairway disc on Looong courses.   Its a solid disc and worth a Try - Plasma is a shimmery plastic. Neutron is Opaque

If you have seen my review before seeing this 5* rating, you will be really confused. I say this because when my crew and I first reviewed the Trace, I wasn't sold on it and quite frankly, didn't really like it. We reviewed the Trace, one in Neutron and one in Proton. For some reason, at first flight, I did not enjoy this disc. Since then, I gave the Trace another shot. I had already pre-ordered a couple Traces for myself before we did the review so I had a couple laying around. To make a long story short, now, the Trace is an absolute MUST HAVE in my bag! I lost one and immediately purchased another because I prefer the Neutron plastic. I pull this disc out of my bag during every single round I play now! Don't sleep on the Streamline Trace like I did when I first threw it. Take it out, get used to it, and a guarantee you, you wont regret it! Plus... I haven't thrown one, but the Trace in the Plasma plastic looks absolutely beautiful! Check out my crew's full review here...

Let me start by saying that when these first dropped I was interested in trying them.  so I got me an infinite dragon proton stamped on.  a few throws and I didnt see the fade.  it just went straight.  lost it after maybe 6 throws to a raging creek.  didnt try them again until the plasma plastic dropped.  after 1 throw with plasma I was hooked.  it had the turn and fade I was missing from the proton one I had thrown a year prior.   oh man, I love me a trace.

this is now my primary 350+ driver for tunnels (a domey proton 11/5/-1/1.5), wide open. holes (a flat neutron 11/5/-0.5/2) or just when I have no idea what to throw (plasma 11/5/-1/2).  as with all drivers with dome slight variances will happen, but at this price point gobbling up 5 of them isnt going to break the bank.  and you could also get a cycle going.

it mimics a beat star wraith brand new.  and will gradually beat into a straight flying mild head wind fighter.  the stability is right between a photon (neutron) and a wave (plasma).

if you dont dig on gyro for whatever reason but are curious about their plastics, this brand will be a great gateway into the world of MVP/AXIOM.  I can state that this one mold has made all my others get sold off.  and throw this for a majority of the 350+ drives.  if you dont like it after throwing it get a hold of me, I will gladly take it off your hands.

I got this disc as a gift, so I'm not sure what the plastic type is, but it's a great distance driver! Compared to discs with similar flight numbers, I find that this is a bit more stable than the others, but can turn over a little if I really crush it. In general though the disc will fly straight for a good ways a finish out fairly strong left. Works great for forehands for me.

It starts off as a beat in Wraith and stays there. Put it on a line and it flies dead straight, with a good fade at the end. If you want a double mold version get an Axiom Wrath. The one thing to look out for is variation in molds. My first Trace was super straight and gummy, but was stolen. My trace now is considerably more overstable... but still does its job.

I bought this disc early on when it was first released, and it has never left my bag since because it's that good.   This was my first experience with MVP plastic, and I instantly fell in love with the quality and style!  The disc flies incredibly predictable as long as there's no wind, and more often than not, comes to a rest exactly where I was expecting.  Fantastic disc that I'd have no problem recommending to everyone.

This is currently my main distance driver. I love it for big backhand S-shots and forehand flip up shots. This has been the most reliable forehand disc I have ever thrown. It can be touchy, but with good forehand form it flies a mile and gives a full flight. I currently bag 5, all of which are either different plastics or have different stages of wear. I used to bag Star Wraiths, but I've found this disc to be much more suited for my game. I absolutely love it and don't know what I would do without it in my bag.

This is a very nice disc. I threw it at 168g and its flight numbers are pretty much spot on. Given enough power it will have a slight turn to it and then come back with the fade in the end. It is easy to get good distance out of this disc using both FH and BH. It is stable enough to handle a FH flex but understable enough that you can flip it up to straight as well.

All around a great driver that very well could serve as your next utility driver. The price is not bad either and some of the triple foil stamp are insane. Give streamline a chance for your next disc!

The Trace was my gateway disc to putting more MVP discs in my bag. It flies pretty much like a slightly beat in Wraith, turning a bit with some fade at the end. The disc will do what I want it to do, regardless of hyzer, anhyzer, or hyzerflipping.

I have two in Neutron, 167 and 173. The 167 is a misprint purchased here, and is the furthest flying disc in my bag right now. My 173 has nosedived into a road and been run over by a F-350, and there is barely a scratch on the rim.

I could not be happier with the Trace right now and can't wait to see the next mold from Streamline.

I have had a trace for some time and never got around to reviewing it!

Much like the Pilot, streamline hit this one out of the park! The Trace has a nice comfortable rim and releases easy. I've found the Trace is an effortless smooth and far flier.

Thrown flat it'll track a bit into a high speed turn then fade back with a gentle finish. It's a rather neutral flight pattern. It will pop up a bit on a hyzer, and will hold anhyzers well.

The Trace doesn't like headwinds particularly well. It won't turn and burn, but it's not really going to fight back into the wind at all.

For the price point you can't beat it. I am toying with it becoming a full time bagged disc this off-season.

The Trace is a very controllable driver with predictable fade. I don't bomb distance with this disc, but that is not what I got it for. The 300ft (280-350) range is where you will find this disc to be a superstar.  Great feel in the hand, durable plastic. It has a very linear response to speed and power, will not turn and burn, and can handle a bit of anhyzer angle for great S flight paths. It can be beefy if you are not ready for 11 speed discs.

Got 2 Neutron molds, 168g and 173g. Neither flies well.  For an 11-speed driver, I am/was COMPLETELY disappointed. Bought them largely based on their MVP pedigree, the 11-speed, and its initial (and surprisingly, current) great reviews.  I cannot concur .. not even close. Into headwind, with tail wind, anhyzer release, crosswinds ... nothing works.  I have 3 Star Terns (Champ., Star, and GStar), a Shryke, a D2 Air, an Insanity, a Vanish, a Fuzion Sheriff, and even a Lucid Freedom which all consistently outfly these 2 "dogs."  MAYBE 260-275 tops on a great line. The others I can hit 295-325 without having to "engineer" my throw.  These dogs DON'T hunt.

After taking my time to throw these discs a lot iv decided its time to put in my review. I have both a proton and neutron Trace. My neutron is 169 grams and my proton is 174 grams. They act like two different discs honestly. The proton i have is very stable. I believe its numbers for me is 11-5-0.5-2. Iv thrown it in winds 10+ MPH and it has not turned and burned at all. in higher winds it will turn a little or maybe flip up if you hyzer it a little. I trust my Proton Trace in wind completely 174grams seems to be a nice stable weight for it. As for my 169 gram neutron Trace.... It has become my primary safe driver! i love this discs! in little to no wind it can fly a mile. in completelly calm weather if i need to bomb something id hyzer flip a catalyst. for drives around 375 or less and calm to little wind you better believe im going to unleash my trace on a flat line and let it do its thing. it gets a beautiful turn. in heavier winds id bump up to my 174 Gram proton plastic Trace. The end story is this disc is incredible. they have both became very reliable options for me. iv thrown my Neutron around 400 FT and my proton around 360 FT.

After two rounds with this disc i can say its a great all around driver. -1, 2 ratings always fit my arm perfectly as they hold a big hyzer, will flip up straight, or run a nice flex line depending how you throw it! I find myself using this disc for straight throws where i don't want too much fade and it does just that. It feels slightly more flip-resistant than the DD Sheriff which is my other favorite driver with a -1, 2 rating

Streamline's entry into the disc golf market started out with two smash hits! The Electron Pilots are great straight flying, torque resistant, stable putters. Truly a "holds any line you put it on" putter. For throwing, they have incredible glide and stability, flying very straight without turning over and finishing with a very mild fade. They will hold an anhyzer to the ground and also stand up to a hyzer without flipping up much. For putting, they are incredibly straight shooters which can give spin putters extra confidence from outside the circle with it's glide giving easy extra distance. With the perfect neutrality of it's flight, it will perfectly show you your mistakes. If this disc doesn't hit chains, you know it wasn't an issue of fading out too early or turning from higher speeds.

The Neutron Trace is simply a thing of beauty. The Neutron plastic without overmold feels like seasoned Star plastic right out of the box and the Trace flies like a seasoned Wraith. Thrown flat, the Trace shows a mild turn with a gentle finish, and superb glide. It seems as if the disc simply doesn't want to come out of the air. As a 400' max distance thrower, the Trace was giving me 380' with less effort than most of my drivers. My longest throw was GPS measured in at 410' on a flex line and still didn't even feel like I had to power it up as much as my DDx, D3s, or Destroyers. The Trace will take a gentle hyzerflip with ease or hold a big sweeping hyzer for it's full flight. Given some anhyzer, the Trace will carry for about 75% of it's flight before fading back to flat and finishing with a smooth, forward projecting fade.

Lastly, the three foil stamps are to die for! When I opened my package from Justin I was blown away. Reflective gold, holographic silver, and solid black that really makes the disc pop. Beautiful discs to match beautiful flights.

Truly the first two Streamline Discs to launch were smashed out of the park. If you're a Gyrohead and want to support Maple Valley Plastics, give some Streamline Discs a throw. If you're just an enthusiastic disc golfer who loves trying new molds but could never connect with overmold discs, these are very much a treat from a great company.

I was super excited to try out this new driver from Streamline Discs! It's always fun to see what new disc companies bring to the table.

And they didn't disappoint! The Trace is an amazing first driver from Streamline to release. I think a speed 11 driver is a great way to go, but not a lot of people do. Lots of people throw high speed or low speed, in my experience. This disc I think is perfect for those inbetweeners.

The plastic feels very solid and is very durable. I definitely hit trees and concrete and it held up well- as any good premium plastic should.

I think mine had a little more turn than I expected, but it was a little lighter in weight. If thrown hard enough it would flip out of the hand and turn over gently before coming back for a good fade. It's pretty much your textbook S-Curve flight path that you look for! I was achieving max distance and very happy with how this flew.

If thrown softer or on a big hyzer it didn't turn much at all, but held a nice arcing hyzer line and still got some good distance.

The Trace is very comfortable in the hand, which was great for me because I feel like some MVP/Axiom discs were a little sharp around the edges and rim. The Trace was great.

I think a lot of people will love this disc. As for me, I'm going to keep throwing it to see if it can get my PDGA rating up. ;)
