Vibram makes great putters, and the Summit is no exception. Unlike the Ridge and V.P., the Summit is an understable putter that has more turn than it does fade. If you threw the Summit at 40 miles per hour with a backhand throw, it would turn to the right 12 degrees and then fade back to the left 5 degrees. For the average golfer, this is a straight-flying disc that won’t fade much at the end of the flight. The Summit is a great putt and approach disc for beginners.

This is Vibram's understable putter and I did like it for the first few times I threw it, but then it just started turning to much and it would go straight into the ground on longer putts. I liked the plastic on the disc, which was X-Link Firm. I guess I'm just not used to be throwing understable putters.

I picked up a Summit and a Vamp at a recent Birdie Bash event, and I have to say I really liked the Summit as a throwing putter. I hated the Vamp, and ended up making 90% of my throws with the Summit. It handles power really well, I was pushing it out passed 250 with a controlled turn. Under 200 feet, this disc locked on to the straight line. I gained confidence quickly in this disc for almost any shot I needed.

In the circle, I wasn't blown away by it. It didn't feel like an understable putter for putting. It felt like it dropped like a brick with a pitch putt rather than float.

The Summit isn't going to go in my bag at the moment, but I'm definitely hanging on to it for awhile and continuing to work with it on the field and on the course.

There's is something special about this putter, it is absolutely money for me. I carry a max weight firm for everything inside the circle and a soft for everything outside that. This putter rides straight forever, although the hard has a tendency to bounce like a basketball if it hits anything. Center pole, chains, trees, you name it. If you hit anything wrong, this disc will get up and roll for what seems to be an eternity. That's the only reason I can't give it five stars. I can't drive with it, it turns and burns immediately no matter what I do. But, that's not why I have two in my bag. For putting duties, they are unmatched. For anything else, you'd better find another disc.
