The Maiden is a straight-flying, low-profile putter that was released for the 2018 Trilogy Challenge. It quickly became a putt-and-approach favorite as players discovered how comfortable it is in the hand and how straight it flies on approaches to the basket.

Love the Maiden for both putting, approach, and tee shots. It has really good glide as a putting putter, and will hold the line you put it on. It took some getting used to (since I was putting with Judges before and those had good fade to them), but it's a very point-and-shoot kind of putter which is good for a lot of reasons.

After having used it to putt with, it definitely beats into a hyzerflip-to-turn type of putter, which is a shot that is more useful than you think. Turnover shots are awesome with this disc as well. The small bead and shallow dish is perfect since I have smaller hands, and I don't think I will change my putters any time soon.

This was my first putter and approach disc and found it very friendly. If you like a more narrow putter with a firm plastic the Origio is great. It beats in quickly and over time will give you a slight turn on a flat release. That being said, this disc flies straight wherever you put it. The glide feels more like a midrange when flown at full power and many times I've surprised myself with how much distance this thing can get. I've picked up the soft plastic to match as my putting putter and kept the burst to throw.

I only use this disc when I am throwing short shots (upshots/putts) in the wind. Otherwise, it's useless. I'm looking for something in a 4/2/0/2 that is a bit more tacky and bit more flat on top....something from MVP/Axiom maybe?

I both throw this putter for straight shots within 200 and I also putt with it. I love it.

I have a ton of aviars that I have used and practiced with and always felt like something was a little off. The slightly lower profile of this disc was it. It comes off my hand smooth and I never feel like it gets caught on my fingers when putting like my aviars can.

Will this be my last putter? Probably not, but it's definitely a good one for where my game is at.

Like all new disc golfers, you go through a period when you spend big bucks on buying putters - so many putters - just to find something that feels "just" right. For me, that's the Maiden.

It feels so good in the hands. Grippy, beats in well, can be thrown for approach shots and has a great ability to be push/spin putted.

This disc is great for putting and for upshots. I have a Origio Burst for putting in windy conditions and outside circle one. I have another in Tournament Burst plastic for upshots and drives. Such a great disc!

Switched from Wizards to Maidens for putting and I cannot believe I didn't do it earlier! I love the stability of this disc and the shallow rim is exactly what I was looking for. The slight bit of fade at the end makes this extremely predictable and love it for anything within C2!

The maiden is a fantastic disc. Whether you need a very straight throwing putter or a straight, torque resistant putting putter, you should definitely give the maiden a try.

The maiden is fairly shallow and has a bead but feels fairly similar to a judge and flies similarly as well. The orgio burst plastic feels great in the hand as it is stiff while still providing great grip.

I both push and spin putt and the maiden is great for both. No matter the distance of the putt, the maiden stays very straight with a tiny bit of finish at the very end of its flight. Overall, if you like the flight of a judge but want a little bit of a shallower feel in the hand, I would recommend a maiden.

My god do i love this disc. used to be unable to find one putter that flew well for me, but as soon as i released my origio maiden i realized i found my true match.  This disc is incredible for forehand approaches, as well as any put up close.  Its good with backhand approaches too of course, but im not!  this disc will do anything you ask of it. best putter ever

I mainly ordered this disc because it had my Hypnosis stamp on it, and it looked sweet. I have only been using it as an additional practice putter, especially since it feels so similar to my Judge. It has almost identical flight numbers and when I'm holding it in my hands for putting it feels about identical. The only reason I can tell the difference is because of the feel of the plastic. My judge is in Classic Blend and my Maiden is in Origio Burst, which feels more like Prime Burst. It feels good, but just not as soft as my Blend.

I have not throwing this disc, but again, I imagine it would fly similarly to my Judges. I would highly recommend at least giving this disc a try. There's a reason it's popular.

I honestly picked this disc up not because I was looking to try a new putter but because I loved how it looked with my Hypnosis stamp on it. The gray and black burst pattern with my solid black stamp just looks sweet!

However, when I actually started putting with it in my backyard with my practice basket, I was amazed at how similar it felt to my Judge. It has about the same depth and the same bead as my Judge. The only different is that this Origio Burst is a harder plastic than my Classic Blend Judge. Otherwise, I'd almost think they were the same disc.

I have yet to use this during a round, but I have no reason to think that it wouldn't fly exactly like my Judge, which is my main go-to driving putter (in Lucid X Chameleon) and putting putter (Classic Blend). I would highly recommend giving this thing a try!

    Rating 5/5

Had my doubts, but the Maiden cast them off in record time.

I honestly bought it as a souvenir for a really nice vacation with my Fiancé. It was on sale and the burst plastic looked hella rad, so if anything, I might've just hung it on the wall if it didn't fly so well, but it flies like a goddamn champ throwing platinum bricks toward a molten sunset while singing, so that helps.

it's the swishy, flashy kind of accurate you need for just oustide the circle when you *really* need to intimidate your cardmates during league and give the impression you're better than you really are. But if you're actually good, it's lethal, for sure.

I have *never* EVER seen a disc hyzer flip mid-anhyzer flex until the Maiden. I don't even know wtf to call it, but it'll do it. Over and over again if your angles are clean. Maybe it's the glide rating, I don't know...it just sails straight between its power up and power down turns. "Suckerpunch" might've been a viable, though less classy alternative name for this disc--I'm bagging putts with it that no other disc would afford me.

In fact: I have bagged more long-distance putts with this than anything else to date. Thing is, it's still a competent putter inside the circle, too. Very much interested in trying the other plastics.

Get this if you've always wanted a puttable Latitude 64 Fuse, or if you want more accuracy out of your Axiom Proxy at puttable distances. If you like the MVP Atom, it's similar, but less inhibited. Get it if you want a really neat, spiffy-looking trick putter. If you're the betting type, it'll probably pay itself off the first night.

The maiden is the best throwing putter on the market. All flights are possible with this low profile putter. The maiden is  perfect for players of all levels due to it's neutral flight, and tremendous amount of glide. If you don't already bag this putter then you should seriously consider it.

Have you ever had a thought about a disc, that could be the missing piece of the puzzle? Well, the Maiden was that disc for me. It was the best compliment to my bag in 2018. I have a 175g Origio burst. I don't use it for putting, but for driving and upshotting. The Maiden is very shallow with a small bead. It is so smooth and so straight. I don't throw with a lot of power, so I got really good results with the Maiden. I am really looking forward to the release of the Maiden in BT Medium plastic. Mostly to try it as a putting putter, as I prefer a softer and tacky feel of my putters. I just can't say enough about this disc. Probably my favorite Trilogy Challenge disc ever. Beginners to advanced players will enjoy it.

The Maiden from Westside Discs is an amazing all around putter. This thing can handle any duty, from in the circle to drives off the tee. This disc feels about perfect in the hand. It has a lower profile that fits smaller hands really well. The disc just seems to release so easy. The flight is very straight, but it handles power well. In the circle I liked it because there was hardly any fade, making it very accurate. This is probably my favorite disc I have tried from Westside, and they have had some good ones.

The Maiden is a fantastic point and shoot putter.  It definitely has more glide than its flight numbers indicate.  I love this disc for touchy upshots and long putts.  It holds the angle that you release it on and because of this you can throw pretty much any shot you can think of.  I will most certainly be purchasing more once they are released outside of the Trilogy Challenge.

The Maiden, I don't know where to start.  But I really like this disc.  Put it on a hyzer, it rides the hyzer.  Put it on an anhyzer and it rides the anhyzer, throw it flat it follows the line.

I love the flatter top and the low profile.  If I didn't already have a stack of wizards I could see myself buying a stack of Maidens.

Flight wise I compare it to a Judge, feel wise I compare it to a harp.  If you're looking for a super workable and dead straight harp, you've found it.

    Good job trilogy!

    ROOTY TOOTY AIM AND SHOOTY.

Westside is on a tear with new releases. Also, thanks to Infinite Discs for getting a hold of these Maidens. And holy cow, the Maiden is going to be a staple in so many bags. It's super low profile, yet has a small, but nice sized bead. I didn't even really notice the bead until I took a look and put into my hand. This disc has near midrange depth, while still maintaining that blunt putter feel.

As for the flight, this thing is the one of the purest line holders I've seen. It's also a little faster than I expected. They can go. I think this somewhat has to do with (I know, recurring theme) the low profile depth. It just cuts through air a bit better than a traditional putter. It's is absurdly straight with a touch of  high speed stability. It'll resist turn unless you're trying to push it past 250ish (no wind, clean form.)

Here's what separates it from many other "straight" upshot discs: the high speed stability. For example: granted the Maiden was super fresh, I threw a Harp upshot because I thought the wind may have been too swirly for a Maiden. The Harp upshot hyzered out early so I grabbed a Maiden and threw straight at the target, it floated like 6 inches above the target from about 200'. I'm very impressed in it's ability to hold in a small amount of headwind. It'll still hold near exactly the line you put it on, but is not designed for guaranteed hyzer shots. It’s a point and shoot disc for shots ideally within 250' and calm conditions.

Lastly, the putting. The Maiden is giving me the spooks because I can putt far more aggressively with it. As for now, I like Crowns for a more lofty putting style. If you are a spin putter, the Maiden is a must try. You can pop this disc HARD at the target and it'll hold straight from way outside the circle. The super low profile is conducive to spin putting.

So here's my final opinion on this disc. If you throw lots of gentle hyzer/straight/gentle turnover putter shots, or if you're are an aggressive spin putter, you need to try a Maiden. Final numbers [ 3.5, 4, 0, 0.5]

I was a big fan of all of the Trilogy Challenge discs this year, but think that the Maiden will be the top selling and most popular of them all.

The Westside Maiden is a super solid golf disc for putting, approaching, and driving. This is a thin, low profile putter with a nice neutral straight flight. I love the feel of the thin lowprofileness. The disc is pretty comparable with the Infinite Discs Tomb but with a different feel.  If you're going to play a disc golf round with just one disc, the Maiden would be an excellent choice.

If your putting and approach game is struggling and you're looking to mix things up, try out the Westside Maiden.

I played a trilogy challenge and got this putter and instantly knew that it would be a great disc. It is a very shallow, low profile putter that I think is like a beaded pure. It has a very similar putt flight to the pure and has a super clean release. This disc goes very straight on a putt with a light fade from farther out. As a thrower, I thought this was a mid when I put some power on it because it flies so far. Usually with my putters I throw them and pull them a little to anhyzer but the maiden came out very flat and had a slow turn and fade back to the target line. It's a very straight disc as a putter or a thrower and I highly suggest getting one of these to try out for something because it changed my game.

Of the trilogy challenge discs this year, the Maiden was very much my favorite of the three!

Its neutral flight reminded me a lot of my Prodigy PA-3 which I both putt and throw with, so I felt a level of confidence with it going in. Unlike the PA-3, the bead is a microbead so the handfeel was slightly different.

I probably threw this disc 85% of the time, and out of the bag it was a nice straight flier with a touch of turn and minimal fade. It would hold an anhyzer line well, and easing off on the power it would hold a hyzer. With power and a hyzer, it will flip up and glide.

Unfortunately the Origio plastic isnt the most durable and when you are driving, throwing and putting with it for an entire round in the woods it is going to take a bit of a beating. By the second round we played (trilogy challenge dubs) the Maiden was getting a bit flippy on me, but with the addition of other plastics and maybe not relying on it to be the MAIN disc you use for every shot, I wouldn't knock it too hard.

The Maiden lifted me to a win in the pro division and the hot round in a tournament of 72. I think that this lady will treat you well!

This putter has change my game. When I played in my first Trilogy Challenge of the year I immediately fell in love with the Maiden. The shallow depth feels great in the hand and allows for cleaner release on putts than the Shield which I had used before. The Maiden also is an amazing driving putter, dead straight and will hold whatever line you putt it on. Even if it looks like it has somewhat of a hyzer angle, it won't fade but instead keeps gliding forward.

I loved the Maiden when I used it in the 2018 Trilogy Challenge. It is a flat-topped, low profile putter that flies very straight. It felt great in the Origio base plastic. I'm a huge fan of putters that don't have tall / deep rims because I feel like they come off my fingers more cleanly and I can throw them for longer distances (like a mid-range crossover disc). The Maiden was my favorite of the three Trilogy Challenge discs.

I would recommend the Maiden as a great beginning putter as well because it will not exaggerate the fade for new throwers. They can learn to throw it flat, or at an angle, and it will follow their command.

I played a Trilogy Challenge, basically only to get my hands on a Maiden and it was easily worth it. Looking at playing a second challenge to grab another Maiden.

It was being billed as a shallow straight flying putter. It wasn't really as shallow as I was expecting. When the word shallow was in every review or write up I was expecting something that felt a bit like an Aviar but in my opinion this still feel like kind of a wide, boxy putter. It really isn't that deep but in the hand "shallow" isn't the word I'd use to describe it. I haven't thrown beaded discs in the past so that took a second to get used to but overall it feels really nice.

As a putting putter I'm not sure how I feel about it. Something about the way I putt and the way this disc releases, it just comes out a bit low for me when I'm using it to putt.

But as a throwing putter this thing is GOLDEN. The entire Trilogy Challenge I didn't even use the mid because the Maiden was doing everything I needed it to do and more. On a full powered throw with a little height this mold will come out completely straight, fight the turn, stay flat, and just lay down on the ground when it gets there. It's probably the straightest disc in my bag right now.

Using it as an approach disc is a lot of fun to do. I've started throwing my mids less and less because the Maiden is just so easy to use. On a soft throw, like 25-30%, 100 ft from the pin, I like to let it go with a bit of hyzer, watch it glide, and then just gently fade into the ground and stick there. There have been 2 instances when I was around 60-75 ft. out and was going for a lay up but the Maiden just kept flying on the line and ended up in the basket. So much fun to throw. The baseline plastic is getting beat up and gouged out really quickly, which is to be expected, so I'm looking forward to the release of this disc in some nicer more durable plastics.

The Maiden was the putter for the 2018 Trilogy Challenge, and in my opinion was the real star of the event. Compared to my Pures it was more stable with a little less glide, making it dead neutral and very consistent in flight. I bag several putters for different uses, but if I had to pick just one putter to do it all, I'd turn to the Maiden. It has that predictable medium glide, that neutral flight, and a great feel in the hand that make for a go-to putter for putting, approaching and driving with equal aplomb.

Feel in the hand is so subjective, so I will describe it as "neutral", with no extreme geometry that would make it uncomfortable in most hands. It felt to me like a shallower Shield.

I played a Trilogy Challenge because I was looking forward to this disc.  And I liked it so much it went straight into my bag as my main putter.  It is a straight, fast flyer - it seems to go farther for less effort than the Judge or Roach I've been switching between.  It's great for putting and both forehand and backhand approaches, though you might find yourself overthrowing the first couple times.  It definitely is less forgiving though.  Wimpy forehand shots get punished a lot more than with a Judge!  I like putters in the cheap plastics because of the grip benefits (most important to me in a putter is the grip), and the Origio Burst delivers, though in my opinion it gets beat up much faster than any of the other comparable plastics.  You won't want to hit too many trees - or metal baskets - unless you like beat-in discs.  The biggest benefit - at least in my opinion - is that it's thin.  Helps with grip!
