The Westside Underworld is the ideal driver for beginners. This understable disc has a high degree of high-speed turn, followed by minimal low-speed fade. It has a moderate sized 1.9 cm rim, and a comfortable feel that will provide new disc golfers more control and distance than most other discs. For more experienced players, the Underworld is great for straight hyzer flip throws that will go the distance. The Underworld is available in both VIP and Tournament plastics.

This is an incredible selection if you want to carry a few discs by hand while you casually introduce the game to friends when you don't want to intimidate with an entire bag.  Hyzer-flip, check.  Forehand distance, check.  Flex check.  Fight out of turnover, check.  It's not a roller disc until you beat it in, at least with my arm.  I have one now because I threw my buddy's 350 on my first throw.  That's not incredible, but I am staring 50 in the eye, so a 7 speed hitting near my max distance on the first try is noteworthy.   I have several others in different plastics and they all are good in their slot, but I find Moonshine to be very workable and thus useful in many situations.  Beginners could spend several seasons before wanting more from a "driver".

I use this disc for forehand hyzer flips. Flip a to flat and glides well before finishing to the right. With a slightly less hyzer release it will flip up and push to the left. You do have to watch that release angle though because flat to anny and it will turnover quick finishing as a roller
