Fission plastic makes the Defy available in lighter weights while keeping the dense Gyro rim intact. The Fission Defy often flies a touch more understable at lower weights, giving players easier distance while retaining its high-speed stability.

This review is specifically for the fission plastic, since I could never release this disc cleanly in neutron plastic. Nothing wrong with the disc, as it felt great in the hand, just something wrong on my end with this specific disc. In Fission plastic however, this is my furthest flying disc, easily! I throw this with a little bit of hyzer, it flips up, starts riding to the right slowly, but it will always come back with a very reliable (not dumpy) fade. I can trust this disc so easily and it never fails to deliver. This disc hits around 120m easily for me (which is just under my max distance). I can throw this disc to a maximum of around 130m.
