Sitting somewhere between a Firebird and a Captain's Raptor in stability, this is a super reliable forehand driver for those shots that absolutely must fade. In the R2 plastic (recycled), it's a touch more workable, and makes for a great flex shot or headwind fairway driver.

I absolutely love this Disc. It might not be something for everyone but its my go to Utility Disc for Freaky shots. I rarely throw it from the Tee but if I do its always reliably and gets the Job done!

Fireball is an absolute meat-hook. Its comfortable for forehands, not as much for backhands, and it does not go far. I had this in my bag for a utility disc to just how overstable this thing is. If you need something to skip and skip far, then this may be an option. I haven't personally thrown a tomahawk or thumber with it, but I have friends who have and liked it for that shot option. It has a very thin profile so grip may be an issue for some. It accomplishes what it was built to do which was to be ridiculously overstable.

Ignore the first 4 letters. This disc is not a replacement for a Firebird (in my hands).  I almost exclusively bag MVP/Axiom discs, and I can say without hesitation that the Gyro hype is a real deal for most of their discs within this speed range . . . but the Fireball is a meathook that I can't manage to throw anywhere close to the distances I've achieved with my Firebird.

I wanted to love this disc because other MVP/Axiom discs have improved my game beyond belief, but this thin profile disc is more than I can handle.  I don't have a great forehand game, so I gave my Fireball to a friend who can consistently throw forehands 350 feet with other discs and this disc couldn't make his bag either. Just saying, it might not be the best option in the MVP/Axiom lineup--except maybe for players with elite-level power.

This isn't going to be a direct replacement to a Firebird, Raptor, or Felon, which most people expect when they see the flight numbers. The Fireball is going to be beefier and has a smaller profile, reminiscent of the Discraft Flick. I use the Fireball in my utility slot, a get out of trouble, no non-sense beef-cake disc.

No doubt - this disc is BEEFY. However, it's also laser straight at speed. I use this disc in any and all windy conditions with zero concern of any turn over (I played a round in 30+ mph winds, and it never turned over on me). I also use it for holes with a late dog leg, or a wicked skip shot (which is how I got my first ace). I throw it primarily RHFH, because it hooks up a little too fast without the extra torque of a forehand throw. All in all, it's a staple in my bag; either as a utility hyzer disc, or a wind eating dependable disc.

Super predicable disc, that flies as the numbers say it should. Great for the windier days. I prefer to throw this disc forehand, but will absolutely back hand this bad boy into a headwind with confidence.

The Fireball was very flat, and had a more shallow rim depth than I've experienced with an overstable 9 speed. It felt pretty good. It's flight reminded me more of a Raptor than a Firebird, but still plenty of overstability.

This is my go-to RH sidearm disc! It flies straight with a quick fade at the end. Feels great in the hand for sidearm as well. I don't use this disc as a RHBH though. Beginner friendly, but proper form is needed for it to fly well.

Spike hyzer with such accuracy you will not believe it.  Just remember to throw it straighter out when you spike hyper, so you get the best distance.  If you throw it with a slight hyper it will get an awesome skip.  Flat gets me the sweet fade to pass behind trees.  I haven't throw it Annie yet.

This is not a disc for distance.  It is a disc to get there very fast and follow its super predictable flight path.  Launch it into the wind with no fear.  I recommend throwing this disc with all you've got.

This is a great overstable disc if you are lower power or just looking for the disc to only be turn-resistant and not a dump-stability. If thrown low and hard, you see no fade. If thrown high or low-power then you will see fade. Even with the disc beat up it still holds its turn-resistance.

My favorite all time disc. A better forehand disc than the Firebird, it's flatter and slightly more overstable than the Firebirds I have thrown. Also a very solid thumber and tomahawk disc. You can also get some crazy skips with this disc.

The fireball flies low, flies fast, flies straight, then dumps it all in a fireball of fade and glory. best part of this mold is there is little to no glide, the distance is all dependent on power. This means its incredibly controllable, especially in windy conditions. This disc exhibits absolutely zero turn and will never turn, even if you try to turn it, it won't turn and will hyzer back almost instantly. While the Innova firebird, long know as a gold standard, is comparable, its not in the same league. Anyone who needs this disc will instantly appreciate it.

This disc is so overstable.  I played with this during an MVP vs. Axiom tourney and every single person that used it, said the same thing.  No matter how hard I threw it, or how steep of an anhyzer angle I gave it, it always fought out and finished with a hard fade.

I threw this backhand a few times and it faded out pretty fast.  On a FH, I could get a little turn if I really forced the anny line, otherwise this would fade out hard around the 250 foot range.  You are not going to get crazy distance with this disc.  I'm a solid intermediate player, but I can get my FH drives out to 400 feet with some pretty overstable stuff, there just was no way to get this discs that far for me.  In our long drive competition, I hit around 350 feet with about everything I could throw into it.

For me, this will stay in the bag as a utility disc.  I have a lot of overstable stuff in the bag, but not much in this disc's range.  The speed for this disc is just right to throw into a strong headwind, but not have to throw your arm out.  This will be great when you need that short hard turn or very windy days.

I have a few Axiom discs, the colors look fantastic and the feel of the plastic is always nice.  This disc leaves the hand smooth and the wing is just the right size, not too big or small.

So if you need something more overstable than a Firebird or a Felon that is the in between range, this is the disc for it.  It won't come out often, but it is handy when it's needed.

This is an awesome OVERSTABLE disc. I was looking for something really flat to use as a thumber disc as well as a utility meathook for forehands and backhands. This disc took a little getting use to because of just how overstable it is. I have yet to throw anything more overstable than the fireball.

Thumbers - It has a really slow pan which makes it perfect for max distance overhand shots. Once I figured it out, I couldn't believe how far it can go. It has added 40-50 feet easy on my thumber distance.

Forehand- This will either dump immediately or if you force a flex, it will dump a little later. It will always fight out of any anhyzer or turn.

Backhand- Great for low skip shots or high spike hyzers. Definitely a utility disc.

I use this disc for thumbers mostly, and as just a general reliable fade disc in woods where i need to hit a gap and fade hard after, or a low and hard line that skips. This disc does those things well! I cant say enough how well this works for thumbers though, I actually bought this disc because i saw a pro thumber this disc in a tournament and decided to pick one up and learned to do it, and ever since i have been parking holes i couldn't get to with air shots before. This is a staple in the bad for thumbers.. i am also going to try the phase or thrill next for longer distance thumbers.

Looking for a 20mm beefcake driver look no further! This disc is truley over stable, but still has a very nice glide to it once you actually get enough power behind it. It will start off straight and then fade out hard at the end, how long the straight flight is depends on your power. this won't be a sweeping fade but rather a relatively sharp fade. Overall this disc is not for me, as my armspeed is not enough to get the maximum out of this disc. But if you're looking for a beefcake driver or have a strong arm that requires a OS disc this will be the disc for you. It will handle winds just fine, it will still come with that reliable fade at the end.

Simply put...  this is a longer champion firebird which is EXACTLY what I was looking for.  Very good disc and easy to throw.  I am a RHFH and all I do is aim left and IT WILL HOLD THAT LINE and crash fade.  I love the reliability of the FIREBIRD in Champion plastic I just needed a longer disc.  Not my favorite shot but for all you thumbers out there...  my friend just threw mine today up hill and threw it further than sny thumber I have ever seen him throw.  Our first hole is up hill and well over 300 feet...  I have never made it up the hill in one as most people in my leauge can't.  My friend thre the mother f***er way past the basket by 75 to 100 feet...  He is going out of town tommorow to go buy a couple.  Me... O just wanted a longer firebird with the same reliability...   THANK YOU MVP/AXIOM.

Also, a speacisl dhout out to Dylan at Infinite discs.  Thank you for squaring away my order.  I oredered the ENVY (LOVE THAT DISC) but in the wrong plastic.... emailed Infinite and before I knew it he got back to me, squared me away....  and saved me from myself.

    Thanks Infinite!!!!

    Thank You MVP!!

PS....  this disc is much easier to throw than a speed 11....  it's like a teebird, maybe speed 7 but can handle some serious rips...  and aparently thumbers really well.

I got the Fireball thinking it might be a good PD like disc that's overstable, but not a total meathook.

I was right...Kind of. The Fireball has a moderately sized rim, with nice feeling semi stiff Neutron plastic, and when I throw hard forehands with it they go very straight for a long way.

The flight is...odd. It will hold it's line for a long time and then sort of run out of steam and spike into the ground. For me it was going close to 400 on forehands, and not quite 375 on backhands, though the flights were not dissimilar.

I've played a couple rounds with this as my only driver, and though there are discs I can throw much farther, I don't know that there is one that is so easy to dail in for accuracy over a long distance.

It was almost like the mythical Longer Teebird that many golfers are forever in search of.

You need to have some power to get the intended lines out of it, but it's not crazy OS like a flat Firebird or a XXX.

Great disc, and a new staple of my travel bag.

Neutron 172g.  This has the most reliable fade in my bag, more so even than my flat top Star Firebird.  This disc gets used on more throws that count than any other disc in my bag.  I have beat it in, using it for almost year now, and it has become my go to disc for almost any tee or up shot between 100-250' against the wind.   It wants to fade hard no matter what.  I have never turned this disc over, even straight into the wind.  Throw it low and level for some great skip shots, and high for thumbers and hyzer bombs out to about 200'.  I cannot recommend it as a long distance driver, but I have yet to find a more reliable disc that will land where I want it to, with the wind at my face.  5 stars for reliability in the wind, for quality of plastic, and for looks.

Neutron 174. The Fireball is a disc that is like the Discraft Nuke OS. Strong hard hyzer meat hook. Not a lot of glide to this disc. If I really crank on it, I can get max distance of 325 out of this disc. It fades to hard to quick to be a disc to use for distance. More of a utility disc in my bag that will be used for anything i need to go 200-325 and make sure it finishes right.

Extremely overstable!!! This disc works well on forehand drives and can take quite a bit of power. The flight chart shows this disc going 375, but I can only get about 325 out of it if I really tried. It works well in headwinds too!

The disc is a little softer than I would prefer, and can get pretty soft in the heat. It does not have an effect on the flight characteristics, but for players that prefer stiff plastic it may not be the best option.

Try one out today! They are great overstable flyers

This is the very first Axiom Disc I have ever thrown. The Fireball for me was way more overstable than I was expecting it to be. It is a meat hook for sure. I tried throwing it a few times backhand, but I have found it to be much easier to control throwing forehand. But even then, as soon as it was out of my hand, all it wanted to do was fade out. If I gave it a little anhyzer at the release then I could get it close to 275 feet.

The disc that the Fireball reminds me the most of is a Discraft Flick. This is not a bad thing for me because I love the Flick and use it frequently in my game. That being said, I feel like I am able to get my Flicks more distance than I was able to with the Fireball. Again, this was the first Axiom disc I have ever thrown, but from what I have heard about Axiom and MVP drivers, it sounds like they really don't glide well. From my experience with the Fireball, I'd say this is true. Maybe as the Fireball beats in it will hold the straight lines better, but right now it is only good for hard hook shots for me.

I give this disc 5 stars still because I think this disc is still a very usable disc. I am a fan of overstable drivers, and I know this disc could fill a hole in some players' bags. I think forehand players should definitely give this disc a shot and see how it feels for them.

I was really excited about the Fireball. I love both the Motion and the Tesla and was hoping that this would be just a little bit more overstable than the MVP Tesla. The Tesla is one of my favorite forehand drivers, but now that it's a little bit beat in, turns a little bit too easily. The Motion is awesome, because it has no high speed turn, and will always finish right (with my forhand throws).  It's that perfect flat top low profile driver that I use when I have an open fairway on the left but need to finish right.

To my disappointment, my 172g Dragon Stamped Fireball wasn't in between the Motion and Tesla, but was actually more overstable than the Motion! This thing is a great disc, but took a little getting used to as I expected it to have more similar flight characteristics to the Tesla.

The one thing for sure is that the Dragon stamp is sick. Definitely one of the coolest looking discs around. One other thing to note is that the neutron plastic it's in seemed to me to be a little bit gummier, a little softer and more flexible than normal Neutron.

If you're looking for a really cool looking, great consistent overstable flat tip driver. Buy one of these. If you're looking for a max distance driver, then you'll want something else.
