The Origin is a small diameter midrange with big potential. The nose has a smooth, rounded feel with a flat microbead on the bottom. The Origin is understable when thrown at high speeds, making it the perfect disc for long turnover shots, as well as precise gentle lines through the woods.

It thrives in tailwinds, wooded courses, and calm conditions at any course. This is the perfect complementary disc to the Essence.

    Meta Details

Discmania's Meta plastic is a high-end, slightly opaque plastic with lots of shimmer to it. It's a very premium plastic, made mostly for Signature Discs. Meta feels amazing in the hand, and will look equally amazing in flight. Meta is very durable plastic, so it will take a beating on the course before losing any flight characteristics.

    Highly recommend.

This is an incredibly workable disc for all skill levels. It is a straight flyer at slower arm speeds but will hold turn the whole flight for more advanced players. Very easily a disc that can be used for a 1 disc round.

    Kyle Klein Midnight Prowl 1

I love this for my understable midrange slot. From what I can tell it's probably going to be similar to a Buzz SS or an Innova Panther or Manta. Out of the box it, thrown flat with medium power you get a nice s curve. But, put some more into it, and you'll get a turnover shot that doesn't want to come out of it. I bagged one since they came out and had to just put in a fresh one. I moved to a lower elevation (6200' to 1400') and my beat in Midnight Prowl was a bit too flippy.

The meta plastic is beautiful and has a great feel. Very similar to luster with good grip and a nice sheen to it. The profile is flat, which I love, and the depth is pretty shallow. The diameter is normal versus the more traditional larger diameter you find in a midrange. I personally like the smaller diameter, but not everyone will. I think that the flight numbers given are pretty solid, although I'd give it a -2 Turn.

I have a Midnight Prowl 2, but haven't thrown it yet so I can't compare that one. I have bagged and thrown some Soft Exo Origins and some Neo Origins, but I always came back to the Midnight Prowl. If you are looking for a real flippy version of this disc, scoop up the Soft Exo version if possible. But remember, you hit a tree or solid object with it and it'll beat in super quick. So for woods golf it might not be the best choice as the stability will be changing quickly if you are off line.

Try one, you'll love it. It's a great compliment to my MD3 and Anubis.

Rock solid understable mid range. Nice and low profile which definitely makes for a great hand feel. Generous amount of glide and very manipulatable. Everything from touchy straight shots to full power long mid range shots and rollers. Highly recommend

I've bagged a midnight prowl 1 for nearly a year now, as well as other neo origins. This disc is definitely more understable than the numbers would suggest. It's very good for hyzer flips or slight turnovers and has a lot of glide. At lower power, this disc should go dead straight.

Most origins are pretty domey and glidey. Though the one I personally bag is flat. I usually bag a spare origin to give to new players their first time out, it's the right level of understable, comfortable and easy to throw.
