The PD2 is a power driver in the Discmania disc line. It is abnormally fast for the stability it offers. Targeted for the strong-armed touring pro, this disc is very reliable with a backhand, forehand and overhead throws in pretty much any condition.

From my experience, this disc is not as overstable as the numbers suggest, but I believe that is a really good thing. I bought this disc after watching Lizotte carry five or six of them at a time and watching the versatility of it (mine is in c line plastic at 170 grams) and I was not disappointed, for lower arm speeds this disc can be a meat hook, but it is not too overstable to turn over a little to gain extra distance. I can get close to max distance throwing this disc on a slight flex line on anhyzer angles because it doesn't fight out of the angle as quickly as you might think. That's where this disc excels. If you need a reliable overstable finish in a distance driver, this may be the disc for you. It will always fight the wind and fight back to fade. It holds hyzer angles very very well, but will fight out of anhyzer angles relatively quickly, just not as quickly as you may think. Overall, this disc has many uses and will be a great disc for anyone to reserve a spot in the bag for.

I've thrown this disc in C-line and in S-line.

    C-line:

This disc was a little bit beat in, and flew like an out of the box DDx. It was from the run with the bubbly edges (175g). When you gave it a good 430 feet of power, it would turn with a slight forward fade in the end. It was a great max-distance disc. I ended up throwing it in the lake after a hungover round. Good Job Me!

    S-line:

Naturally I had to replace my beloved C-line PD2. The S-line was way more overstable, but being from a different run, it's understandable. Out of the box, I couldn't get it much past 430 feet even though my usual max-distance drive is 500 feet. So I used it for sidearms, skip shots and headwinds. A few rounds and a thorough beating later this disc is like the perfect controlled long distance driver. I can get it to 450 feet while still being able to rely on that 3.5-4 fade that it provides.

Even though this disc faded on me hard when it was new, it still flew pretty far. It is a super fast disc without having that 13-speed rim.

    Conclusion:

I can't really recommend this disc to people who don't have that 450+ power, unless they want a skip shot or flex sidearm disc. It's not going to magically give you distance. It will most likely just ruin your form if you can't handle the stability. That being said, I can strongly recommend it to those who want a reliable driver that goes far without risking to turn the disc over.

For the ones familiar with Innova, this is a 12 speed Firebird.

I love the C-line plastic. I picked up an x-out and it feels the same as my other C-Line. The flight is nearly as OS but not quite. Goes a little further before dumping out. I do love the PD2 for giant hyzer bombs from 315 to 340 feet and flicks. It dumps predictably every time I flick it. Mind you, I don't get as much distance on a flick as I do flicking a destroyer but I know where it's gonna go. I can also do a flex-flick through wooded holes and it always comes out of anhyzer line. Last but not least, the PD2 will SKIP! Huge skips, so remember to take that into consideration when you throw.
