The PD2 is a power driver in the Discmania disc line. It is abnormally fast for the stability it offers. Targeted for the strong-armed touring pro, this disc is very reliable with a backhand, forehand and overhead throws in pretty much any condition.

    G-Line X-Out Details

G-Line X-Out discs have the ultra grippy Discmania G-Line plastic, but have minor stamp or manufacturing blemishes. These blemishes typically include misprints, double stamps, or disc coloration issues. Anyone would tell a beginner to never pick up a PD2 unless you want a utility disc to hook with. However, the G-Line changes that just a ton. Mine still acts like a beefcake, but with the plastic I'm able to cheat a little more distance out before hand. Still probably not favorable for a newbie, but hey, give it a try and maybe you'll convince me otherwise!

For a primarily forehand player I think the PD2 is the go to distance driver when you want to put huge amounts of anhyzer on a shot. They are very stable even in the g line plastic and really eat wind up. When it's windy and I need a drive to fight into a hyzer finish I will reach for the PD2.

Lhbh.  I throw an s line max weight pd2.  This is one of my favorite disc for anhyzer shots it is one of the most predictable discs I have ever thrown.  It will almost always fade no matter how hard I throw it.  I can max it out at around 350.  I would not recommend a pd2 for beginners.

The Discmania Power Driver 2 is a wide rim distance driver designed to fade every time. Surprisingly, this does not short the discs ability to cut through the fairway.

Starting with the C-line plastic its easy to say that the glide factor is lacking. Flatter molds will cause the disc to act more like an over-stable hybrid rather than a distance driver. For a while I kept a flat C-line for extreme headwind and low fairway skip shots.

In the S-line mold a slight dome helps create a little glide if the disc reaches speeds causing it to turn. For this reason, I recommend the S-line runs with a slight dome for distance and control off the tee.

There were a few runs of Swirly S-line that had insane dome and caused the disc to lose speed during flight. These are not for distance and are more like the flat C-line option.

I bagged yellow S-line molds for years and beat them in ever so slightly while still being able to crush as hard as I can on Par 4s and Long 3s. These are 450 - 500 ft. shots

I got this disc in ever plastic available because I'm an idiot and thought I'd be able to actually throw it like Simon Lizotte only months into picking up the sport. Spoiler alert: I can't.

That being said, it's still a really great disc. The Blizzard plastic is the most manageable, in fact I managed to throw it straight into a tree I was aiming at. I was aiming at that tree because I assumed the overstability of the PD2 would pull the disc to an inside line, but instead it flew dead straight at the tree. Since I have atrocious angle control I have not been able to do this sort of thing consistently, so for now the stack of PD2s sits in a bin, waiting for my skill to catch up to the bar set by this overstable monster of a disc.
