One of my first beginner discs, the Buzzz started off a bit stable for me in the Z-Plastic but overtime has beaten in to an ultra-reliable straight mid-range with a tiny dump at the end. It is a very good disc to learn the game on and as you get better so does the disc. Feels great in the hand and has a comfortable depth to it. Would recommend to all types of players.

Prefer the Z Line Buzzz max weight and with dome. Can throw on multiple lines and when newer they still have some fade.

Good disc for anyone's game, but its usually a tiny bit more overstable than the numbers would suggest. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, since this means that it'll beat into perfection, and a classic workhorse mid. While I do know this disc is very popular and an extremely important disc for the game, I can't give it 5 stars since it doesn't feel comfortable in my hand at all. But I do realize I'm in the minority here, and I'd still say that this is a disc worth trying, and most certainly a slot that anyone needs in their bag. I just have a preference for the shallower and superior plastic of the Axiom Hex. But once again, personal preference

The Buzz is a great, honest disc that really helped me improve my technique. Mine was just a little bit OS out of the box (for my noodle arm) and became dead straight over time. Seeing as I don't own a driver at the moment, I take a ton of shots with this disc and it rarely disappoints (unless I throw it badly, which admittedly happens a lot). Has held every line I have ever put it on, without exception.

A lot of people complain about the shape/handfeel, but I have zero complaints in that area. I have bigger hands but fairly skinny ones, if that makes any difference.

This is one of the first discs I ever bought, and it is still in my bag. The Z Line Buzzz is maybe slightly more stable than the flight numbers at first, but it eventually beats in to be a dependably dead-straight midrange. Almost two years of throwing the disc have made it slightly understable, but I can still get that dead straight flight by throwing the disc with a slight hyzer. If I throw it flat, it will steadily drift to the right and finish straight. This disc will also hold anhyzer lines for nearly the entire flight and will finish flat to the ground.

I also had an ESP FLX Buzzz that was considerably more understable. I used it primarily for hyzer flips through gaps on wooded holes or backhand turnovers. It is also more comfortable to throw in colder weather.

I highly recommend this disc for beginners looking for a disc that will go straight with low arm speeds or intermediate/advanced players looking for a midrange that will fly on whatever line you put it on. This disc is particularly money for wooded courses.

Summary: Seems like almost everyone agrees that this is the best single disc ever.

Feel: The Z-Line plastic is as nice to look at as it is durable. Z-Line seems to hate scratches and avoids dents. The height may be what makes the disc so accessible to everyone for everyone to think it's the best disc for everyone. The wing shape is gradual in every change of angle, makes it easy to hold and comfortable to the hand.

Flight: The flight may be a little overstable when brand new, but will be as straight as the numbers suggest when used for a while or when thrown with more power. The flatter runs seem to be a little more understable, but those may be a little hard to come by.

This is a very straight->fade disc for me. Tries to flip up a bit, rides the hyzer and fade. More stable than adverstised, but not necessarily a bad thing. Maybe my standards have changed as I've played longer but I think an m4 is closer to the numbers advertised. I think the buzzz ss is the better beginner disc, unless you want to beat the stock buzzz in.
It typically will have dome, but there are a few with very flat tops. Fits my hand nicely and releases clean.

Simply the best mid range for backhands and sidearms IMO.

Extremely consistent, "holds any line you put it on" - says every disc golf player about every disc.

The Z BUZZZ has remained incrredibly consistent throughout the years, regardless of what run it is.

The buzzz is arguably the best disc in disc golf. It isn't my favorite or even my favorite mid, but that's just subjective. It is objectively great and in the conversation for the GOAT.

it is a neutral, straight flying, torque resistant mid with a touch of turn and a touch of fade. This disc can be your workhorse. Great for backhand, forehand, overhead, in the woods, on the fairway, drives, scrambles, approaches, you name it. Every disc golfer should own a buzzz

When I started playing disc golf in 2016 I bought three discs. The other two have long since left my bag, but the buzzz has been my go to mid range and scramble disc since day 1. I can't recommend it highly enough. Z plastic never seemed grippy enough for me, but it's never been a problem on my buzzz. I've gotten great flights out of it on both backhand and forehand for the past 7 years.

I love this disc. It's great for beginners because it is very easy to throw straight which is something I struggled with for quite some time. It's also really good for learning to shape shots because it takes any angle you put on it really well. This is a disc I will have in my bag for a long time and one I will continue to use for a long time to come!

The iconic straight midrange. New, it'll fly straight and maybe fade a touch at the end for beginners. For a more experienced player, it'll turn over a touch and then finish with a little fade resulting in a straight flight overall. Personally, I prefer the glide on a Claymore or Hex, but the Buzzz will always work as a straight-flying workhorse midrange.

I'm a beginner, and picked up this disc on the recommendation of several experienced players.  And I'm glad I did!  It's my go-to disc for anything between 230 and 260 feet (still a beginner) and flies almost exactly where I am.  The slight S-curve I get from the flight helps with trees in my area, and I can throw this on a hard anhyzer (I don't have a forehand yet) and still get it (mostly) where I want it.  This is a great mid-range!!

This disc will hold any line you put it on. Very underrated anhyzer disc, it will hold the line and barely fade to flat at the end of the flight. The buzzz is extremely beginner friendly, it is also very comfortable. It will feel overstable at first for a beginner but you'll learn to throw it flat very quickly! This disc also turns more if you have advanced arm speed, it makes a great hyzer flip disc.

Pretty much everything has already been said about the buzzz. Seems like the main critique people have of it is that its boring and doesn't do that much. I would say that is exactly the point of this disc and it does it fantastically well. It is a straight flying point and shoot midrange. It is great for beginners and will fade out at the end of the flight. As the disc beats in and your armspeed increases the disc will turn and you can start to get some more distance and see a slightly more interesting flight. It is the perfect beginner disc to start learning to get some turn on the disc and see a fuller flight. Still one of the best discs there is for beginners and advanced players everywhere.

After reading all the reviews and rants and raves about this disc I would assume it would be decent or too good to be true. It is absolutely true, as a beginner myself this thing flys where it is supposed to and hold strong to every throw that I don't mess up myself. It is always my go to mid-range and always lands in the chains or by the basket.

The Z Line Buzzz is one of the most quintessential discs in my bag. It is a perfect midrange that can be thrown at almost any power without fear of flipping over and crashing to the ground. It has a very nice, straight flight path with a small, reliable fade at the end. The Z Line plastic is absolutely incredible in terms of durability. I've probably hit more trees with my Buzzz than any other disc in my bag just because I use it so much, but it still flies just the same as the day I got it. It holds an anhyzer line fairly well, which allows for a lot of potential for shot shaping.

The Discraft Buzzz is an incredible disc, and there's no question in my mind as to why it's the most popular midrange in the world. If you've never thrown a Buzzz, then you have to try it. I can't imagine playing another round without it.

Absolute beast of a disc! This disc is very versatile and will hold about any line you put it on. I've used this on 250 ft hyzer bombs, long straight wooded tunnel shots, and even some 300-325 ft drives off the tee. There isn't really a slot this disc can't fulfill! If I could only take a handful of discs to any course, this one would surely make the cut. With that said there is a little deviation in the fade depending on the plastic and wear and tear from what I've noticed. I've beat in a few Z line Buzzz's perfectly and they've become almost point and shoot discs. I also have an ESP and a Titanium Buzzz that tend to be just a tick more over stable than I had anticipated. (Not bad, just need a time and place for that!)

One final note for stronger power throwers, this disc can occasionally turn over in a slight headwind if you really rip on it. However, in calm days or at 90-95% throw effort it should be perfect for you!

This is a fantastic disc. I come from an Ultimate frisbee background and would recommend this 100%. This has been a key disc in transitioning to disc golf!

A glidy, less stable Buzzz. To me this is everything the Buzzz SS should have been. My first disc was a z buzz that still has life in it even after two years of consistent use and sometimes, abuse.  But even with that Buzzz, or any elite Z to be honest, I can have a hard time keeping it on anhyzer throughout its flight. In ESP I can keep it turning but in the Jawbreaker plastic this same shot is simply effortless. With that said it is still a buzz and will hold a mild hyzer as long as the follow through is clean. The only complaint I have with this is that the plastic didn't wear in very smoothly. Tree hits or rocky ground will pull chunks out the edge or bottom and create "sharp" points that will eventually become uncomfortable. If it wore in as smoothly as pro-d it would easily be 5 star. To be very honest the feel and grip of the JB plastic is worth the extra money though. It's tacky, soft without being floppy and great in every weather condition I've played. It feels like a putter and I am almost confident I could play any 1 disc round near to or below par with a JB Buzzz.

One of the BEST discs ever made

Bottom Line Up Front: Its great because its super dependable, does a variety of shots, can hold a line, feels great in the hand. This is one of the first discs you should get, and you should practice obsessively with it. It will grow with you.

Every company has something they want to be similar to a Buzzz. Where as the Destroyer is the gold standard for 12,5,-1,3 the Buzzz is the gold standard for neutral mids. A good Buzzz will do what you want it to. You can make it hyzer, flip, flat, anny, turnover whatever. I love them for wooded tunnels, or just gliding around an obstacle. I have a lot of confidence in my Buzzzs.

My personal favorites are the skinny tooled Z-line, most Ti runs, and certain ESP runs. My skinny tooled (older tooling) Z Buzzz is nice and straight. My Doss Ti Buzzz flies similar as well, but seems to finish a little different. The hand feel is a little different too. Most ESP runs aren't the flight I'm looking for. Maybe the 4x PMcB I threw for a while, but try buying one of those for under $100 now.

The Buzzz's I like fly more like a 5,4, 0,1.5, and are flat. My all time fave is a Z Fly Dye.

Similar Discs: Mustang!!!! (in Sublime it may be even better), Chariot (MF), Claymore, M3, MD3

Notable Pros: Drew Gibson (self proclaimed best wit it...I agree with him), Paul McBeth, Nate Doss,...anyone who has ever been sponsored by Discraft. This disc is good from beginner to best in the world.

Neutral mids are sort of a dime a dozen, so preference comes very much down to hand feel for the majority of people. That being said the buzzz just doesn't really do it for me. I love the way it flies, and when I see other people throw people throw it I want to fall in love. The buzzz just isn't very comfortable in the hand to me, so I never feel confident trying to throw it. For me, there's a lot of mids that I would pick over the buzzz.

All that negativity aside, the buzzz does have an incredible flight. When it's thrown well, it's one of the best flying discs regardless of the type. When thrown hard it'll fly dead straight and fade straight. It'll hold any line you can put it on and you can do some incredible things.

Overall, I would say that you shouldn't blindly listen to the hype around the buzzz. It can be an incredible disc in the right hands, but it is definitely not for everyone. Be willing to experiment and try out different straight mids.

My personal favorite midrange on the market! The buzzz is a consistent go to in nearly every round for me. The buzzz is a straight flyer with light, reliable fade. While it is not a very overstable disc, the buzzz can handle a lot of power without flipping over or losing control. Another great aspect of the buzzz is the reliable consistency between runs. I can grab a buzzz off the shelf at any store or online and know it will fly just like one that I've had for a couple years. A must have for all skill levels!

    177g Z Line

Starting out as a forehand dominant player I kept seeing the Buzzz mentioned by just about everyone as the premier flick midrange. I immediately bought one in green and couldn't wait to try it.

First off I never liked how it felt in my hand for backhands, even after transitioning to backhand dominant throws. For forehands I had decent enough luck with it but several discs have cemented themselves in my approach game leaving the Buzzz as the odd disc out.  I always found it a little twitchy to forehand, with a small window between sawing off and crashing over. Maybe my form just sucks but I found the Harp to be far more resistant to turning over than the Buzzz. Of course every once and a while I'd get a brilliant flip-up that went laser straight but I found it very hard to reproduce those results myself.

Got a soft Z line buzzz, this disc is great! Made the mistake of buying in black so is hard to see since it goes far but still a great disc! The best thing about this disc is that it is straight. I put it flat and at most it has a baby drift (only with super hard shorts), baby hyzer wants to get to flat or at least move straight, anyhyzer will move right but wants to fight back to flat.

If you use midranges, this is a must! Been moving to a mixed bag and the Buzzz was a instant bagging and getting backups, just waiting to try in ESP and other plastics now. It is a use for anything with the exception of power forehands (it doesn't hold up to high torque). Mid-level power with spin on a sidearm works as a slow turning shot that still will cover good ground.

I bought a Z-Buzzz to complement my Mako3, which is just a little understable. This guy was perfect and is super straight, but with a little fade at pretty much any power. Not a huge fan of the bead, but the flight was exactly what I needed in a neutral midrange and I suspect this will stay in my bag indefinitely. The hype for it is not misplaced and this seems like a great disc for any player.

So what more can I say about this disc. I bought the disc about a year ago when I first started disc golf. After reading reviews and looking up what are some of the best discs in disc golf. Everyone in the reviews and online said the Discraft Buzzz is one of the best Mid-ranges in disc golf and probably one of the top 10 discs in disc golf all together. What more can I say about this disc. I absolutely love it and would be sad if i lost it but if I did I would certainly get another. This disc holds basically any angle or line you throw it. You want a nice hyzer flip disc, a great disc for straight shots down the fairway in the woods, or even a great Anhyzer disc, well this is the disc for you look no farther. If anyone regardless of skill level asked what disc they should get, this would definitely one of my first recommendations. I'll always have the Discraft Buzzz in my bag anytime I'm on the course. Definitely a must buy.

Quite possibly one of the few HOF, "every player must have" discs.

Discraft answered the Roc with its own midrange superstar. There is a reason why most pro's carry one, and even Innova sponsored throwers keep one without a stamp hidden in their bag.

Keep in mind a few notes:

A Buzzz will fly straight to a fault. Full power, soft power, anny, hyzer, etc. it wants to fly straight. It will do other flights, but it wants to go straight. You can bend the "straight" but you can't make it be an S. If you need a super control S or anny, or whatever, get a Roc. (You should probably carry both anyway.)

Unlike many discs, it works well in any throw power range. So it works as a teepad driver, a fairway driver and an upshot disc.

    A few things to note:

Be careful of the fancy upgrade plastics that add overstability or odd meathook endings. In the beginning stick to the base plastics of either Z or ESP.

Adjust the weight based on your need/purpose: Go 1-2g light if you want a bit more control and want to use it mainly as a short midrange and a lower-powered throw, go 1g heavier if you want a straight flyer and a driver.

It took me a while to finally buy and try a Buzzz but now that I have it's found a permanent spot in my bag. Powered down it's a point and shoot disc with a super mellow fade. Thrown up to speed it gets some turn before fading back to straight. The flight chart says it all, really. I'm saying it's somewhat beginner friendly because it's not quite understable enough to help beginners flip it up to flat, but once you get the fundamentals down it's extremely versatile and will hold most lines exceptionally well.

This is my go-to midrange. The Buzzz was the first disc I ever really used and it has only gotten better as I have improved. I carry one in the Big Z plastic that is slightly more beat in so it works really well as a slightly understable mid. My other Buzzz is Z-line and it is my go-to mid. It flies extremely straight when released flat with very little fade. It can also hold a solid hyzer line and a beautiful anhyzer. A true workhorse and one of only two midrange molds I carry.

    177g Z Buzzz

The Buzzz is an incredibly straight-flying midrange with good glide and a comfortable feel in the hand. I prefer beadless and flat midranges, so the Buzzz's profile was an automatic winner for me.

More importantly, it has a great flight. The Buzzz wants to fly in a straight line, exhibiting almost no high-speed turn or low-speed fade. Most other neutral midranges seem to exhibit more turn in the mid-flight or more fade at the end of the flight. The Z Buzzz can also handle all the power I can give it. A good throw with the Buzzz will get me ~350 feet down the fairway, which isn't too much shorter than my fairway drivers. With the extra control and straighter flight I get from the Buzzz, I'll often reach for the Buzzz first in those "in-between" distance situations.

I rarely play a course and don't take this out of my bag, wether or not its tee shots or upshots or trying to sneak it though a small gap this is one of my favorite discs

    Step 1: Buy the disc.

Step 2: Put it in your bag.

This should probably be the first disc that every new player gets. Beginners will get so much more value out of a disc like this than if they go to something like a long distance driver. Great disc for learning the fundamentals and probably the best mid-range available. Not a lot more to say about this disc.

The Buzzz an outstanding midrange in the Discraft line up and can be a workhorse on the disc golf course. I have a Buzzz in Z line plastic that has a great feel in the hand as well as excellent durability to withstand being used over and over on the course. The Buzzz was one of the first discs in my bag and has served me really well as I was learning proper throwing technique and gives helpful feedback on what release angles I'm throwing with.

At this point my Buzzz is beaten in enough that it makes for great straight shots, but still has the stability to withstand a good amount of power and not turn over.

While I do not throw the Buzzz often forehand, again it has the stability to handle to torque of a forehand throw.

The Buzzz will always hold a soft spot in my heart because I got my first ace with it!

If you are looking for a reliable and time tested midrange, you cannot go wrong with a Buzzz.

The Buzzz is the all around disc that almost everybody has or at one point had, in their bag. Super versatile and straight. When the Z plastic beats in it gets a bit flippier but its perfect for straight or baby hyzer flip shots! Great disc, feels good in my hands, and is very shapeable.

Currently bag four Buzzz's. Two in Z line plastic and two in ESP. This has been my go to disc for correcting my beginner form as it is very easy to tell what I am doing incorrectly as the disc is supposed to have a gentle S curve. I highly recommend this disc for all beginners in either the Z line or the ESP plastic as they can take a beating with the trees you inevitably hit as a beginner. Even if you are more advanced, give this disc a shot. There is a reason why all Discraft pro's bag this disc, it is the best mid range in the market.

I got this disc on a recommendation from a friend thinking it would be a good replacement for a Dynamic Truth. Over all it's a great disc for all skill levels.

The Z Line is a great straight on mid-range. I tend to have issues with longer bending shots but love the flight path of this disc. The rim can be a little weird at first but after the break in period it's solid.

In hindsight, for my shot shape the Buzzz OS probably would have been a better choice as I like throwing high bending shots at the basket.

This review will be for the 180g ESP Buzzz.

Where to start?!?  The slight understablity of the Buzzz makes it the most versatile disc on the market.  Whether you're hyzer flipping a tunnel shot in the woods, or flexing a shot in a field, the Buzzz works incredibly.  Once you've beat in the ESP plastic, you can even expect to be able to throw anhyzers.  This disc was perfect for me as a beginner trying to stay away from higher speed drivers, and the transfer to a C-Line FD later was easy.

Would highly reccommend for players of any skill level.

    Disc - 179 Discraft Z Buzzz

Feel - The buzzz has a fairly shallow rim that fits nicely in the hand. The one that I have is flat topped so it feels good for both backhands and forehands. Z plastic is very durable but can be slick in wet conditions.

Flight - The buzzz is one of the most popular discs of all time for a good reason. It is the epitome of a straight mid range. This disc will hold a hyzer, a straight line, or an anhyzer with little change in angle from release to the time it hits the ground. Mine Z buzzz started out fairly overstable for a buzzz with a bit of fade at the end but as it has beat in it flies dead straight.

Overall - I would recommend the buzzz to any player at least to try out. Every player needs a straight mid in their bag and the buzzz is one of the best options out there.

This is my go to midrange I love the feel and the comfort in the hand and the ability to have it hold any line right out of my hand. I find it great for tight shots in the woods or any placement shots to about 250ft.  Great Mid for anyone who is starting out al the way up to people who have been playing for a couple of years.

Z-Line Plastic in 167 grams: So when I first started I kept hearing about the Buzzz and how great it was so of course I had to try it out. So when I built my first bag up I ordered one. Since all the discs i had were new I had a few that were my favorite and used them more. Now that I've been playing a few months and really starting to be able to throw 350ft consistently now I have started using the Buzzz more and more. Now I have absolutely fell in love when this disc. It flies on whatever line i put on it, slight anhyzer, hyzer, flat anything. Even for forehand it's a great disc. Definitely going to be a disc I'll always have a copy of in my bag at all times.

The Buzzz is so unique that I don't think there are any other mids that do exactly what it does. It handles torque very well, but holds whatever angle it's given upon release, not flipping over even when powered up on. For this reason, it's a great disc to learn with, and flies very fast for a midrange.

The Buzzz is the straightest disc in my bag. It will hold any line I put it one and I have great confidence that it will always get me up to a putt. It also feels great in the hand, which is the main reason I like this disc better than the Mako3. I would recommend this disc to anyone looking for a reliable midrange with a true flight.

I think it has been said before, but if you were to get one disc to play disc golf, get this one. I have the Z line plastic and it's super durable, but a few guys I play with have other plastics and love theirs as well. A super straight flying disc that will hold whatever line you put on it with just a bit of fade at the end. I use this for most of my approaches, shorter drives I want to keep straight, and even some longer putts. If you don't have one, you would definitely use it if you got it.

This thing flies just as advertised. Throw it flat it flies dead straight, might turn a tiny tiny bit, and will then fade a tiny tiny bit. Throw it on hyzer it won't flip up and will hold the hyzer. Throw it anhyzer it won't fight out it will hold it all the way to the ground. It is beautifully workable. However, my 4 star rating (4.5 if I could) rather than 5 comes down strictly to feel. I never loved how the Buzzz felt in my hand, but I threw it anyway because it's flight was undenieable. However, I got my hands on a Shark3 and realized it flew very similarly to a buzzz but felt much better in my hand, so the Buzzz has been phased out. This thing flies GREAT, so if it feels good for you, get a ton. (For reference, I'm 6'6" so I have pretty big hands, I think the buzzz's rim depth was the issue for me. But seriosuly, this is a good disc, just not for my hand)

A Z Buzzz is the perfect midrange for most arms. It's also a great overstable mid for a beginner that will serve them well down the line as well.

I use the Z Buzzz straight shots, hyzers and baby anny flexes from 250-290'.  The Z Buzzz flies dead straight at my arm speed when thrown flat and low. The Buzzz is fairly wind resistant, but will get turned a bit by a stiff headwind.

The Z plastic does not seem to change over time. I threw my Z Buzzz for hundreds of rounds without any notable difference in flight characteristics.

I find the stability of a Z and TI Buzzzes to be vary similar with the TI breaking in faster.

One of the most versatile discs I have right now in the mid range. I am very green to the game, but I can throw this dead straight, I can turn it a bit both ways (on purpose), and it is very easy to control in comparison to some discs out there. I think part of that is the design of the rim as it just feels good in my hands... not too tall, not too short. This can fade a bit when asked or into a headwind, but in general it is very straight.

174g x2 Z, 175 ESP Supercolor x2 and 1 175 TI. The Buzzz what can I say. I used to bag Emac Truths, liked them alot but wasnt 100% sold on them. Then switched to McGlow Roc 3s. I liked them more based on feel but now that they are discontinued due to obvious reasons I picked back up my buzzzs. I had both Z lines and my buddy gave my a couple ESP Supercolors. I bag 1 ESP Supercolor and 2 Z. Will most likely be picking up signature series and glos to come but right now this disc is the ultimate midrange. For feel and pop out of the fingers for me is perfect. Flight is straight with a finish left OTB then gets straight and longer the more beat up it gets then goes right.

Theres nothing really to add to this review list other then try it.

There's nothing to add in reviews of this disc that hasn't been said by thousands already.  This has become my favorite disc to stockpile in Z to give to anyone who wants to play rounds with me who doesn't play.  The most workable disc for the majority of holes where I live without punishing you.  I love how straight Z plastic is in this mold and just lasts forever.  I wish I could cycle these more, but Z just holds on forever - Luckily there's so many understable discraft mids to compliment this disc, because my oldest Z is 10 years old and still going strong with just slight turn on full power rips - but still finishes with some fade.

Most versatile mid I have ever used. It's beadless, fairly shallow, flat, and fast for a mid with tons of glide and crazy stability. These features make it useful for forehands, low ceiling shots, and can be used and any line without dramatic results, i.e. if thrown on hyzer it holds it and pushes forward ir put on anhyzer, it holds it and pans but doesn't dive into a roller. It's good for forehand spike rollers too. I believe it won disc of the decade or something like that for the 2000s (you could check me on that).

This disc was the first disc I purchased as a newbie that I could correctly throw. I was playing mostly in tight heavily wooded courses and I learned quickly how to throw this thing on laser beam straight lines with just a hair of fade at the end. As these beautiful discs season they slowly break into a sweet spot of effortless straight shots, and become easy turnover discs as well. I recommend the Z or CryZtal plastics just because they wear into that nice sweet spot and stay there practically forever. Even as my arm strength/form has gotten increasingly better, I still can't take this disc out of my bag.

The following is based on an intermediate player’s point-of-view using a 175g Buzzz Elite-Z. I drive around 325 ft. on average, with a maximum drive of 375 ft.

The Buzzz is by far my favorite midrange, if not my favorite disc all-around, due of its range and versatility.

Approach: becomes an overstable floaty upshot disc around about 150 ft. and in, on a flat line. Skips more than a putter, but much less than a fairway driver, so it tends to sit down with occasional skips.

Midrange: 150-250 ft. This is the range in which this beauty shines. Thrown flat, the Buzzz flies as straight-as-an-arrow with a subtle fade at around the last 5-10% of its flight. You can also shape lines using a hyzer or anhyzer, depending on what the hole demands. You can get a slight flex or a full graceful turnover shot, depending on the intensity of anhyzer that you put on it. Another wonderful aspect of the Buzzz is that it’s not finicky at all. It will do what you want it to do with a large amount of leeway and forgiveness. And it holds up fine to headwinds within 10 miles per hour. I would be cautious throwing in headwinds past that—you might want to consider throwing something like a Buzzz OS or a drone.

Fairway drive, 250-280 feet: thrown flat, the Buzzz will turn slightly before flying straight with a subtly fade at the end of its flight. Start putting a subtle hyzer on it at this range to flip up slightly for a straight flight. I consider using my Teebird past 250 ft.

280+ ft.: I generally don’t use the Buzzz past 280 ft. I usually throw a fairway driver like a teebird, or a wraith for distance drives, but I suppose more advanced players could still make use of this disc thrown on a hyzer at full power. I’d recommend just using a teebird or the like at this point if you have one in your bag. But I’m no pro, so take that for what it’s worth.

This was my first midrange not in a baseline plastic. I love this disc. It's easy to grip and release on a number of angles.

In Elite Z plastic, my Buzzz is more stable than the base numbers make you think. I'm glad that it has the fade it does, and it holds up well in the wind, but I do end up putting a little more speed on it than say a Mako3 in order to get it to go straight toward the target. Having said that, the Buzz does not fight out of an anhyzer line as quickly as more overstable, higher-speed discs do.

I've used my Buzzz for years, and it has held up. I'm excited for a few more years with it, during which time I'm sure to find more uses for this excellent disc.

The Buzzz is a disc that most throwers of it rave about. The Buzzz feels commfortable in hand with a lower, flat-topped profile. This disc is laser straight right out of the box and can be manipulated on just about any line. The reason I don't have it at a five star is because I think Discraft offers other discs that do the same thing and then some. This disc takes more power to get working then a lot of their mids, and I feel more comfortable throwing other things on the hyzerflips and anhyzer shots. Its a good disc, but I like others even more.

There is not much I can say about the Buzzz, except that it is all that it is talked up to be. It is not hype, this is such an amazing midrange disc to learn how to backhand. I have not had success with forehand throws with the Buzzz. That being said, I can usually place the Buzzz within a 20ft circle of where I want it at a range of 100-150ft. This is a meager accomplishment for most disc golfers, but this is the only midrange I have found that gives me that accuracy. I am still a new player, so throwing straight is a challenge. However, I have been able to both hyzer and anhyzer this disc with moderate success. I have two of these in pro-d plastic and one in Elite Z. All are excellent.

From the first time I threw the Buzzz about two months ago, I knew that my Warships were in trouble. They feel great in my hand, and they have a great flight. I love that I can power down for shots as short as 230'-250', and can power up and get that midrange accuracy on shots out to 300'-320' I've got a lightweight one and a max weight based on the shot I'm looking for. The Buzzz is the neutral-flying mid that I didn't realize I was still looking for. I think there is a slot for this disc in everyone's bag.

What more can you say that hasn't already been said about the Buzzz? It's the most aced disc in the world for a reason. I found a Buzzz back when I first started playing DG, but never got around to really throwing it. Once I finally added it to my bag I've never looked back. I don't bag a whole lot of Discraft, but the Buzzz is something I don't think I'll ever replace. Invaluable for tight wooded courses and it just holds a lazer line. Slight hyzer with some power behind it and it'll flip right up to flat and just glide.

My favorite part of it is the mold itself. Feels more like a driver then a putter and can fit my larger than average hands comfortablly. No bead is also a big plus.

From short drives to precision up-shots, this is the disc you need! It's a great beginner disc and something that you'll keep in you bag for a long, long time. I can't recommend this disc highly enough for players of all skill levels. From the basics to the advanced techniques of the game, it's a great disc to learn it all with.

Buzzz and putter, only two discs I played with for years. Great for a beginner needing to learn to through flat. About as straight a disc there is. Still the only disc I trust completely. Got 3 in my bag and will always have at least 2. Love the fact it comes in every plastic with hundreds of different prints available.

I really love the Buzzz, got this disc about a year into playing and it was the first midrange that I really learned the ins and outs of, I feel a major part of my form was developed with the buzzz.

The flight is always predictable, and after using it for a few years it feels like an extension of my arm, I can place this thing where I want on whatever line I want, even at high speeds this disc will have slight predictable fade, I throw them 177g and z plastic, they really don't display a -1 for me in that weight and plastic, more like 0, even at fast speeds, however I have noticed the -1 in esp plastic the one time I owned one.

Don't think anything will ever replace my buzzze, and I have tried, I am a midrange freak, my favorite disc and flight to watch so I own my fair share, but the z buzzz will never leave my bag, it would feel like losing a body part.

I haven't been playing as long as some people have, but the one thing that I do know is that the Buzzz is one of the best all around disks there is.  If you are still in the stages of trying out different disks, do yourself a favor and buy this disk

Not sure what else I can say, it's a Buzzz. It does Buzzz things. It's super flat topped easy releasing very straight with a little fade at the end. I only use it for backhand, but it is used early and often. Great approach disc and short hole driver.

Gonna keep this short. I like most mids as long as they are stable enough to be thrown like a fairway driver. The buzzz IMO is much better than most other mids. Save some money and thinking time and juSt buy and Buzzz

At a brand new plastic the buzz displays it flight rating perfectly. throwing it flat as a beginning player it will stay straight with a little fade at the end. With a more powerful arm it turns into a completely straight midrange. Plus the Elite Z plastic has a comfortable feel for the speed of the buzz. Great overall disc that can be used at any level.

Was skeptical about the buzzz, had always heard good things but never had one. I ended up finding one in a creek, and I see why it is so popular. Great disc, easy to throw slight predictable fade. My only complaint is that I can't seem to get much distance out of it, it throws more like a three speed than a five. Even with full power I have a difficult time getting this to go more than 175ft, where as all of my other speed fives stay accurate to about 300ft. Might have something to do with mine being used and from the bottom of a creek, but it might not be.

Favorite disc, hands down. The largest power range of any disc I've thrown. Powered down touch shots, it will hold the line for good while. Put some power into it and (maybe with a pinch of hyzer depending on your arm speed) this flies on a rope all the way to the ground.

Max weight Z or Ti are my "go to"s, but the new signature Z is a beautiful blend. Slightly more flex and grip. If you want to see these three plastic types in action, check out the lead card coverage of the 2017 Green Mountain Championship. Doss uses all three blends, mostly at Brewster.

When I first started disc golf, I was always told that the top midranges were the Buzzz and the Roc. So I went out and bought a Z Buzzz and a KC Pro Roc. The Buzzz was the easier of the 2 to control and was the most consistent for my very noodle arm. That was 6 years ago. I'd like to say the Buzzz never left my bag in all those years, but it did. I never really worked on throwing my Buzzz on laser straight flat drives. I always just gave it a little hyzer and knew how it would finish. Without really working with the Buzzz like I should have, I never learned it's full potential until recently.

The Buzzz, when thrown properly, is the straightest flying midrange I have ever thrown. It has a comfortable feel in the hand with it's flat top and beadless rim. It can hold a hyzer if thrown smoothly and will hold an anhyzer for long turnover shots before gently flattening out. I would recommend everyone try the Buzzz out at some point in their life. I also recommend that new players get 3+ Buzzzes and go out to a field and just work on getting consistent with them.

The Buzzz might be the greatest disc for a beginner to pick up (especially the Buzzz SS or "Super Straight") because of it's flat top, small rim, and neutral flight path. It also might be one of the greatest discs ever created. I can get an incredible grip on this disc and it can fly for 150+ ft. easily. The flight numbers for this disc are incredibly accurate- Speed: 5.0, Glide: 5.0, Turn: 0.0, and Fade: 1.0.  I love this disc so much that I have 5 of them in my bag: 2 Z Buzzzes, 1 Z Buzzz SS, 1 X Buzzz, and 1 Titanium Buzzz. This disc is so reliable, versatile, and precise that they'll be in my bag until I die. Highly recommended for all players.

There are many reasons why this disc is regarded as one of the best on the market. It's a superb midrange that is a fantastic point and shoot disc that can handle a substantial amount of velocity. However, I wouldn't say that it's as versatile as some of these reviews suggest. The Buzzz is meant to be a straight flyer. Sure, you can hyzer it out for a slow fade, or throw it on a soft anhyzer for a flex route. But, to the relatively new disc golfers reading this, realize that no single disc can accomplish everything on the course. This, in my opinion, is the optimal disc for a "one disc round," and will forever be a staple in my bag.  But I also complement it with a Champion Roc3 for shots that need more fade, and an Opto Claymore for shots that I want to drift right. This is my favorite midrange, hands down, but don't expect it to be the only one an experience player would need.

This my go to disc for any situation. I own two buzzz one in the x plastic and one in z, and they are both amazing.

Z plastic: Straight flyer with small fade, but if thrown right will also hold a nice anny line i use this disc for any situation driving, midrange, approach, and any technical shot.

X plastic: This disc is less stable and has a nice s-curve i like to throw this disc off the box a good bit when i need a long tunnel shot

In my opinion, this is one of the best mid ranges out there. I don't like Pro D for this mold as it is too understable, but the Elite Z is perfect. It goes dead straight every time, whatever line you put it on. It keeps that angle, then has a gentle fade at the end.

There's a reason that disc is one of the most popular discs in the world. It is a great disc for all types of players. It's one that I recommend to any new people that I play with and is the one of the first that I would have any new disc golfer buy for themselves.

This disc does whatever you need it to, short shots, controlled shots, flicks, hyzers, etc.

This is generally the first mid out of my bag during a round, and is one that I use on shots from 50-150 feet.

This disc is also got a few really nice siblings with the Buzzz SS and Buzzz OS.

One of my most favorite discs of all time. There was a time in which I carried four different ones at once. If I had to describe it in one word it would be smooth. It is smooth out of the hand, has a smooth turn, a smooth fade, and a smooth finish. It is versatile enough for a variety of shots as well. Smooth hyzers to long anhyzers and anywhere in between, this disc goes where you want it to go. Not as beefy as a roc but still equally as consistent and arguably more useful. The buzzz is the type of disc that can be a staple in any level of players bag, from beginner to veteran.

The Buzzz is one of the most popular midranges in disc golf for a reason. It is a great disc that flies very consistently and is easy to learn on. The only thing I don't like about the Buzzz is I am not a huge fan of Discraft plastic and for that reason chose to go with some other midranges. But, if you like Discraft or want to try out a great midrange, go with the Buzzz family, they will all treat you great

This disc is awesome! The feel of this disc is great and wonderful to my hand. The plastic feels very durable and grippy. Once the disc gets wet it becomes slippery. After a year's worth of use the disc holds its form, is dent free, and the flight path hasn't changed all that much.

The Buzzz is a stable disc and as such it flies very straight and has a very healthy fade at the end. People say that you can put this disc on any line and it will hold it. I find this not to be true, It's stability prevents it from holding anhyzer lines, most of the time my throws with anhyzer lines generally comes out of it. This disc is better off sticking to straight throws or hyzer-ish throws.

I say somewhat begginer friendly because if you don't throw it strongly it won't fly like it should, but it is easiear to throw.

Classic midrange disc that every casual player should be bagging.  It's comparable to innova's roc, not by the numbers, but by design.  You can cycle buzzzs, carry different plastics and make the disc fly alot of different ways.  Thrown flat with good speed it will hold straight with gentle, reliable fade.  Put it on a hyzer and it will hold that the whole way.  Power down and you can get a good flex curve out of it.  Beat one in and you've got a good turnover disc.  This is a good disc to spend a lot of time with and once you know it, it will perform how you want it to every time.

Most of the discs that I have are Innova, but this is probably my favorite disc right now. My Buzzz was the disc that I really learned good throwing technigue on, and ever since, it has been my go to disc for so many applications. Pretty straight with a good fade at the end. My beat up Buzzz probably has a little more turn than a regular one that is brand new but I don't mind that One bit. Suffice it to say, when I look in my bag 8 out of 10 times im going for this disc.

What can I say about the Discraft Buzzz Elite Z (177g) that hasn't already been said in the 100 plus other reviews you can read on this or any other disc golf website?  Hands down, this disc is AWESOME!  If I had to play a round of disc golf with only one disc, this would be my choice!

I feel my Buzzz plays like several discs in one.  I can really step into one and bomb it, so it can function as a distance driver for me.  I can throttle back on it and throw it for controlled placement shots off the tee, so it can function as a fairway driver for me.  Obviously, I can throw it for mid-range and approach shots (forehand and backhand), so it can function as a mid-range for me.  Finally, I have putted with it on numerous occasions and I really like its size, weight, and feel, so it can function as a putter for me.

The Buzzz is a great disc for beginner, intermediate, advanced, and pro players.  Every bag should have a Buzzz in it!

I own a 172-173g Elite Z Buzzz.  I've tried a number of midranges (including the MVP Axis and Tangent, Prodigy M3, M4, M5, Axiom Theory and Alias) and after owning many discs I've finally come to the conclusion that the Buzzz's (including the SS and OS) are the best midranges for me.  For whatever reason they just feel right.  For my mids I like a mildly stiffer flight plate and the feel of the Buzzz's rim is just perfect for me.  For reference, I am an intermediate player that can throw the Buzzz up to 280 or so on a really good rip.  If thrown low it will pretty much go dead staight with a very slight fade.  If I throw it a little higher or softer it will have a predictable fade at the end.  The disc does become understable (at least at 173g) when thrown into a headwind.  Hoping I can get this disc out to 300' by the end of the Summer.  IMO, this is a great beginner disc and for a recreational player this would be great for someone who only wants one disc.

This was one of the first discs I picked up and it automatically became a staple in my bag. Any shot under 200 that wasn't a putt, I was pulling this disc out. This is easily my favorite mid range. It just goes on the line you set out for it, and has a tiny, bit of fade at the end. I used to use a comet, but it became too unpredictable. My buzzz is 175g and drops so fast so that it never rolls. I even drive with it on as few holes. Mostly I use it for anhyzer shots to get around obstacles but it's way more than a 1 trick disc. There is a reason this disc has the reputation that it does.

I ended up with one of these for free, and it wasn't a bad thing for my game! This disc was a great, stable midrange/approach for a long time. I think the speed ratings we're bit underdone, and the speed could be updated a bit.

My copy has not aged well, however, and that's the biggest downside to this disc for me (this is in Elite Z plastic). I loved this disc for a long time, but it has become much more under stable and slower in its old age. I can't drive this disc side arm anymore, and long backhand drives are becoming a challenge.

Great disc, but it's going to need replaced more often than most.

If I only had one disc to play an entire round of disc golf with, I'd choose the Buzzz. For me, it's truly the swiss army knife of discs. I can use my Buzzz for a multitude of shots, and it just works. It flies on the line I put it on. I can throw almost perfectly straight at full power and it just goes straight. I can release on a hyzer or anhyzer and it just seems to follow those lines beautifully as well. I have always stuck with the Buzzz, I tried throwing a Roc and Roc3, but no other midrange has ever felt as comfortable and reliable as this disc. If you haven't thrown one, you're missing out.

I also use my Buzzz for forehand approaches, and touch forehand shots. For me, I have a really hard time forehanding putters, but no problem with this disc. I truly love the Buzzz.

Have always loved the buzzz. Everyone needs a mid in their bag that they can get to fly laser straight. The buzzz is that disc for me and while there are other discs with a similar flight path, I prefer the buzzz because of its flat top and shallow rim that give me a consistent release forehand or backhand. I also like that there are SS and OS versions that feel the same in your hand but have very different flight paths.

The Buzzz is an excellent mid-range disc, definitely one of the best out there!  I had a Buzzz on Day 1 of disc golf and I've had one in my bag ever since.  A very straight flyer that can perform all kinds of shots with a minimal break-in time.  There is definitely some stability differences as you move between plastics; I've found my Elite Z to be a bit more stable than my Pro-D.  And my Elite Z has definitely developed some HST as it has broken in.  That being said, it is still a very reliable disc.  I've been trying to expand my mid-range collection, but I think it's safe to say that the Buzzz will be holding its spot for a while!

We get it, another five star review. The Buzzz is all you need as a midrange. I can understand this disc as being the most popular midrange. Thrown straight, it goes straight with a predictable small fade. Before I hit trees I can tell if I am going to slip through them or hit them. That is how predictable it is.  On a hyzer, it will keep that angle all the way through. With an anny angle, the Buzzz will hold that angleto the very end, depending on how hard you throw it. Definitely a must have in any bag

This disc is great for any shot that I need to go straight or right (LHBH). There's a reason it's such a popular disc and simply is a great beginner disc. Get one and your scores will drop on just about any course. Feels good for drives, approach shots, and just about everything inbetween. Super durable in the elite z, yet still grippy even when wet too. It has a medium skip when thrown hard, but once you become comfortable with the disc you can make it stop pretty easily without much skip too. Now I prefer a warship, but I could easily go back to my old, reliable buzzz.

This disc is a way of life. This is the first disc that I felt unbelievably confident in, mine is well-seasoned now and it still does exactly what I want it to do when thrown properly. It's gained a bit more fade believe it or not since I first got it, but it's very predictable. It's particularly good at holdng hyzer lines otherwise if thrown hard and flat it will fly dead straight before finishing with a little fade. I've held it in cheaper plastics and it felt completely different so I strongly recommend the Elite Z plastic, but that just might be my hands. Due to my errors it has hit some trees at driver speeds and still doesn't have a chip or warp or anything. Ridiculously resilient plastic. I don't own them all yet, but to my knowledge a Buzzz, Roc3, Mako3, and maybe a Gator too are just about the only midranges you'd ever need and out of all those if I had to pick one to use forever, it'd be a Buzzz. Get one and you'll most likely figure out what all the hype is about relatively quickly. Without getting too crazy, this is by far the only disc in my bag I would be absolutely heart-broken if I lost. I've actually been amazed at the shots I've pulled off with this thing. The only issue you'll ever run into is if the wind gets a good hold of it, it will get carried in the direction of the wind more so than you'd expect, so watch out for that when going for a slower shot.

The Z buzzz is less forgiving than other plastics, but it is still a very versatile disc. The Z buzzz is similar in feel to the TI buzzz, but in my experience is just slightly less stable than the titanium plastic. The Z plastic is slick to the touch, with not a whole lot of grip in wet conditions. Fantastic shot shaping disc.

In addition to everything that is great about this disc in the hands of an experienced player, it is just as valuable in the hands of a new player.  This disc goes wherever you want it to go depending on how you release it.  You learn a lot about release angles and release speed.

This is the mid-range disc that taught me oh so much about the game, I would never trade it out for another, it can do just about anything you ask of it! If you have a Buzzz just sitting around then get off your duff, go to the field, and throw it around until you know more about it than it's own mother. Get to know it intimately, accept it's glory, and it will tell you the secrets of the universe. After all that, take it to the beach and bask in a beautiful sunset together. If you already have one and don't treat it this way, then you're not getting the full potential out of this disc.

In all seriousness, it's an amazing mid that will hold any line you put it on, you just need to work at getting to know it. Get one now if you're even close to being on the fence about it. If you already have one, get two more, because you need another and someone you know doesn't have one and you know they deserve it.

Buzzz! And this is what this disc does best, it  buzzes straight down the line into the basket!  One of my go to mids, I can depend on this guy to land right where I want it to! Tell the Buzzz what to do and it gets the job done every time! I own 4 of these beauties, 2 in Z, 1 in Elite X., and 1 in ESP.

Love the elite Z plastic. I have had a few Buzzz's and its always a midrange I come back to. Very reliable, definitely deserves a spot in anyone's bag regardless of skill level.

This is the first midrange I could really depend on. I gave the Roc months of opportunites and field work, but the Buzzz mold just felt better in my hand and for my throw.

The Crystal Buzzz is probably my favorite plastic and it just holds such a great line for my arm speed. Perfect for those wooded and technical courses.

This is the only disc in my bag that can find the chains from 150ft. Not that i do that often but as a new player I have found the chains from a distance twice and almost had an ace but it flew threw the chains and dropped right under the basket. This disc flies very straight with a little fade at the end.

Flys stright enough. Don't like the feel of it inmy hand much, but the disc does the job. No turn to this for me. just sort of a dart that ends with a small fade. decdent enough.

The Buzzz is the most controllable disc in my bag. Great for hyzer, anny, or straight shots on the fairway or on the tee. Very little fade at the end of it's flight unless thrown with hyzer. I use it a lot for shorter tee shots and tunnel shots. Good for shots where a driver might skip past the basket if thrown on the same line. This disc is very useful for those long anhyzer shots that need to glide and gently lay down without fading. Great disc...

The buzzz is great off the tee and for any kind of approach shot. It flies how you throw it, and with a little beating in (or a lot of beating for z and ti) becomes a great anhyzer disc. I'm a big fan of flat discs, and this thing is a pancake, so grab one if you want a domeless straight mid.

Great all around disc, but I'm getting zero fade. I know it's not suppose to fade much, but I'm right of the hole every time. That's my only complaint. Disclosure: It's a new disc. With my cheapo plastic Buzzz, I got 2 or 3 fade.

Just a must have. The hype is true, this is an excellent disc for any skill level. Perfect for a beginner, as it will develop form really fast because of its sensativity. Intermediate and advanced players can take advantage of its ability to hold any line to use it for anyzer, hyzer, or even some forehand shots. It also handles power well enough to throw off the tee on many holes. Just get one, you won't regret it!

This disc is just solid. I love the flat profile. The Buzzz is stable, but not too overstable. It works well for both backhand and sidearm throws. If you're looking for a stable midrange, you might as well go with the Discraft Buzzz.

Buzz was not a disc for me until this week. I now have a better form and better mechanics of throwing discs and Buzz seems to going to replace my Atlas and even KC Roc. I would still use Dx Roc though for those turn over shots. Buzz seems to take a little more power than rocs. If I don't put enough torque in it, it is going to fade early, my dx roc or mako3 doesn't do that. With enough power in it, it is going to fly dead straight to minimal right turn with a very little fade to the left for RHBH. I will use Buzz for low ceiling mid-range shots as well. I will have to master this disc and see If I can replace other mid-range out of my bag. I am going to use buzz in windy days as it seems to hold its line in windy situation as well. I am using this disc for distance upto 325 ft.

I have lost track of the numbers of time switching away from the buzzz to a different midrange thinking it was "BETTER", only to find myself coming back to this predictable and let's not forget most reliable mid range disc on the market, and people wonder why the BUZZZ is the most popular MidRange disc on the market. Newbie friendly is all I can say, I constantly introduce Disc Golf to anybody and everybody, everytime I bring somebody new along with me to play I usually let them choose from my disc bag and guess what the BUZZZ is never the first one to be picked that's if it gets picked, but more than half the time I watch them struggle trying to throw a Roc or a disc way out of their skill level, standing there holding a BUZZZ in my hand I suggest that they try it and I sit back as they get amazed at how straight it will fly and how easy the BUZZZ is to throw and control. The BUZZZ with a Perfect size rim and especially in Z plastic best grip ever. 100% of the time they run out and buy a BUZZZ as their first disc. Overall: new player friendly, good control, flys straight and let's not forget the distance the disc will fly

Buzzz > Roc. As many other reviewers have said, the Discraft Buzzz holds any line you put it on. Throw sweeping hyzers, laser beams, or smooth anhyzers. Z plastic is the most dependable plastic for a Buzzz IMO and stays in that sweet spot the longest. What's the best thing about a Buzzz you ask? Pick up any Buzzz off the shelf and expect it to fly just like the last one you threw!! Try doing that with a Roc....

Got a Z-Plastic two weeks ago and love it, very nice for tight corridor shots---goes where you throw it (for better or worse, but that's on me). My wife has used it the last two times we've gone out and has confiscated it----so I ordered her the Z Plastic for her bag ;) Problem solved! Gimme my Buzzz!

I was convinced that the only reason the Buzzz had so much hype is because it's old, people used it, and were used to using it. If people tried some of the new stuff, they'd switch. I love MVP and Prodigy mids (still do). Well, I started testing out a Titanium Buzzz to see how durable the plastic is, and I liked the disc so much that it didn't leave my bag. I even went out and bought one in Z plastic. The Buzzz isn't the straightest flying disc, but it's stable and consistent. It has a great feel to it -- I love the flat top and shallowish rim config for approach shots and short drives, and actually use this mid for forehand shots when I'm in trouble. It's one of the few midrange discs I'm comfortable flicking. There's a reason the Buzzz is the most popular disc. It's a really, really good one.

There are a few discs that every disc golfer has to try. This is one of them. One of the classic straight midrange discs. If you are going to try any other midranges, you really need to know how this one flies to compare it to. To sum this up, this disc sets the standard for midrange discs. Any disc that sets a standard is a very good disc.

I've got a Cryztal z buzzz. It's a fine disc, but I gotta admit, I don't throw it anymore than any of my other mids. Are there any others who are not insanely impressed with this disc? It's a good disc, but if I was running out of room in my bag it'd probably be the next to go.

I use a Z Buzzz to complement my Comet. For me, the Buzzz is lazer straight with either no fade (Elite X plastic) or a little reliable fade (Elite Z plastic). Go to midrange for distance because it can take some heat behind it and stay true.

Buzzz will fly far and hold it's line. If I had to play a course with a single disc, it would be a Buzzz. Predictable, controllable. Throw it flat, it flies flat. Throw it on an angle, it holds the angle the whole way. I'd recommend the budget plastic (Pro-D) for beginners since it is cheaper and is a tad understable. X plastic wears in well for anhyzers. Z plastic can handle power and snap very well. Titanium/Crystal plastic tends to fly a little straighter. One of the post popular midranges on the market.

Awesome disc. Flattens out of an anhyzer, finishes with a predictable fade when thrown flat, and holds a hyzer line to the ground pretty well too. Grip width is perfect for just about everyone - and works as everything from a really long putter to a very controlled driver on shorter holes or tee shots. Pairs great with a Wasp to almost entirely fill out the mid-range portion of your bag.
