This disc is fan freaking tastic. It is long little bit of turn with a slight fade at the end. Absolutely bombs. Such an underrated disc

People who don't throw this don't realize what they're missing. Primarily flick thrower. I trust this disc more than any distance driver. For a shot I need 350 and gotta be sure to not fade early or turn over, it's this. Also solid back hand even with my fairly weak arm.

I threw the Krait when I first started and it had pretty good distance for a beginner. As I grew in the sport I was able to find another disc to take its place.

    Great C-Line plastic!

I'm not sure if it's me or the disc, but I have used a couple of these champ Kraits (one domey and one flatter) and just haven't had much luck with these. They fly sort of how I figured they would, but I would like a tiny amount of turn out of them. I never got that once. The saving grace is that I can at least trust it to cover some ground even in windy conditions. However, they just never got the distance I wanted out of them. Maybe I just had a couple of bad discs, so I'm keeping an open mind.

I bought this disc expecting to be able to do slight hyzer flips and have it go straight. I don't know if I got a poorly manufactured disc or what the problem was but the instant this disc comes out of my hand it immediately hyzers out and is easliy the most overstable disc in my bag (NOT BY DESIGN). It does not fly straight at all which was the main reason I bought it! I am very dissapointed

I had a couple of these over the years. It's a straighter flying distance driver. Probably best suited for those in the 350-400 foot range. I don't bag it as I feel it's not quite as long as some other discs but maybe it's more accurate. I like the Wraith better myself overall. Nice disc though and I'm sure most who buy it will like it as well.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this disc.  I wanted something a little straighter than my Destroyer that I could throw thru tunnels.  The Krait is excellent for that.  Its not quite as fast as the Destroyer but then again I'm not going max power when I'm trying to be super precise and it really does fly super strait and has a wide rim like the destroyer so its easy to grip and go back and forth between the 2.  Its been a super useful addition to my bag.

    Disc: 167g Champion Krait (blue)

Awesome straight flying distance drive. There's a specific long wooded tunnel hole that this disc is perfect for.

Flight: It's pretty true to what the flight numbers say. It goes very straight with minimal fade at the end. I like it's high speed stability, which means even with a lot of torque, it doesn't turn over. It doesn't dump like other high speed discs though. Great straight flight, with maybe a touch of turn.

Use: Long tunnel shots. This disc was made for them. It will fly straight without dumping into the woods at the end. Good forehand disc as well due to it's high speed stability. Use it if you have an intermediate arm and need a straight flight.

Summary: The Krait is one of those underrated discs because no big pro is using it, but I think it's the perfect disc for an intermediate player looking to get some more distance without worrying about crazy fade.

I have this disc at 139g, 143g and 150g and I love all of them. I don't have the strongest arm but this disc gives me a very dependable S-curve which adds distance on my throws. Has easily taken a couple strokes off my average round.

The Krait is one of the most underrated discs out there in my opinion. This disc is a great distance driver that doesn't require as much power as say a Destroyer or Boss to get good distance from it. It has a very nice straight flight with just a hint of turn before a nice forward fade. It reminds me of a longer Gazelle. One downside to this disc is the limited plastic it is found in. Overall, this is a great disc that is overshadowed by some of Innova's more popular molds.

Another one of innovas speed 11 drivers, it is a solid driver and some of the examples does what the flight numbers indicate. But like with all innova discs it is highly variable between each individual disc. Some of them are beefier some of them are more US, it all seems to be highly dependent on the production run rather than the actual mold. I think Innova and other disc manufacturers should invest more in making their products more consistent rather than trying to pump out as many molds as possible.

The Krait seems to be like a slightly less stable Wraith. Its very domey with great glide. Easy to throw and it isn't really under or overstable. Just a mellow, straight flier. Finicky in the wind; it gets tossed around badly at times and knocked down. For calm conditions the Krait is perfect for long, open drives. I'd recommend this disc to anyone who likes Wraiths, but wants something with slightly more high speed turn, glide, and less fade. A good beginner-intermediate level driver. Comparable to the Surge and Thrasher.

this is my favorite disc in my bag (along with my BT Hard Harp :) ...i found, as i progressed in my skills, i could no longer throw my favorite disc i started with...Champion Beast...which is probably one i would recommend for beginners...great disc too! ...and found the Destroyer too much...so, i feel this is the perfect disc for me...more stable than Beast, and less stable than Destroyer...fits my game perfectly !  Highly recommend...

Update on my last review. Field tested a Crank, Crank SS, Destroyer, Krait, and a Trespass. The Krait went back in bag,  the others didn't.  I can get more distance with Crank, Crank SS, Destroyer and Trespass but they aren't point and shoot discs like Krait. The extra 2 to 5 feet I gain isn't worth the risk of being in heavy woods. Too much turn on a Destroyer to shoot the tight holes I usually play.  I believe the Crank and Crank SS are 13 speed discs not 12 speed. So I agree with Marshall Street disc rating system.  The Trespass is to the Destroyer as a Firebird is to a Teebird. Trespass is an overstable Destroyer. It rises up like a Sidewinder into the wind, so a Destroyer is better into a wind. But sidetracked. The Krait works well with a tailwind and works just as good into the wind. Crank worked best into wind. As with all domey discs Krait can dive hard with nose down release. The Destroyer and Krait I released level. The others I released with a slight anny. So if you need to hit tight holes and want distance the Krait works well.

I bought this disc in the 175g weight thinking I'd be using it for straight, long tunnel shots. This is a very stable flyer! I think because it's max weight and in champion plastic that it's very stable. Perhaps after beating it in I'll be able to create a slight S-curve out of it with minimal fade but I just dont have the arm speed yet. That being said, it doesn't have the hard fade and skip you might find with destroyers or wraits, yet I can still feel very confident throwing it into the wind because of its resistance to turn. I'd also rate it's speed closer to 10.5 as it feels slightly slower than what most 11 speed discs feel like.

What I do love about this disc is creating amazing flex lines on a hard rip. Today I put a slight anny line on it and watched it slowly fight out and fade back around 325 feet, nearly acing a 350 foot hole. I think you'd have an easier time getting a straight, subtle S-curve out of the Krait in Gstar plastic without putting as much anny on it, so if that's what your most interested in try the Gstar. The Krait is what it is though, a straight flyer that resists turn and finishes with a steady, consistent fade. Give it a shot and you'll really enjoy it!

I love this disc! As soon as I got it, I threw better drives. I am not a very powerful thrower so I was really suprised at the distance that I was getting when I started using this disc! Very under rated disc and definitely something that I would recommend to anyone one once they strengthen their arm and work on their technique.

Great disc for off the tee straight far slight hyzer RHBH throws and narrow forhand drives.   Like a Wraith with more dependable fade and will hold up in the wind.  Have a beat champion Krait that has replaced my Champ. Beast off the tee.

Been playing for 57 years. Wish this was available when I was younger with less physical ailments. Originally bought a blizzard krait. First throw was 370 feet. Farthest I ever threw a Innova Viper was 360 feet. But blizzard was too flippy (unreliable). Hard to get consistency with blizzard plastic. Found a Gstar plastic one which makes them more overstable. Less turn, more fade, less glide with Gstar. Finally found a champion plastic one and after field factoring (DGA used to lathe off beads of discs different depths calling it factored) the disc it flies straight as an arrow with great distance. Used a Disccraft Crank for awhile but put it aside because of the reliability of the Krait. I can get more distance with a Nuke SS but it's too flippy and unreliable in different wind conditions. I play in severe wind conditions in Montana, Chinook winds and all. This Disc is a stable Wraith. Perfect description. I have a Wraith but the Krait has less fade which is better for Disc Golf accuracy on tight fairways. Some beginners have big arms I would recommend this Disc for those beginners. Rate the turn closer to .5

Great disc.  Very much like a wraith, but in my opinion, better, and more controlled.

I wish innova made this in Star plastic and weights more in the 170+

I picked up a metal flake champion 175g Krait and it is a very trusty accurate distance driver.  This isn't going to be the fastest disc, or the disc that gets you the MOST distance, but it can handle a good amount of distance, but very controllable.

Again, I hope Innova realizes this disc is $ and produces more in other varieties.  I would really like to get some Star (not G star) Kraits

The Krait is a great disc for long drives off the tee, with a very predictable flight path. I like the disc for both BH and FH drives. I wouldn't recomend for beginers because most drives are either really good or really bad. This disc takes some getting used to and flies the best once it is quite worn. The Krait requires patience and is rough on those who don't know what they're doing.

Obtained a 147g F2 Blizzard Krait at disccout along with a Wraith (see my write-up of that disc on its page).  The Krait flies VERY straight for me, then just falls out of the sky and crashes hard.  It doesn't go way left (RHBH) on the fade-out, but just comes dive-bombing into the ground.

Despite the light weight, the Krait has flown well for me in a variety of wind conditions.  Once you have your form and technique down, and can give some proper "snap", the Krait will fly well for you.  By that, I do NOT mean you have to have a lot of power:  the Krait flies best for me when I do NOT crank down on it, but throw at a bit less than full power, which means I can concentrate on my form and technique without having to try to rip it hard.  It does okay with my (in development) forehand flick, as well.

My only issue with the Krait is that it flies about the same distance as my 159g Star Archon, and the Archon is my driving staple as of this writing.  But I do like the straight flight of the Krait, and I'll add it to my bag when I don't need a specialized disc for certain courses.  If you're looking for a good, straight flying driver that you don't have to rip your arm out trying to throw, give the Krait an opportunity to impress you as it did me.

picked up a brand new factory second blizzard 155g and my first throw was 400ft. its a good disc. but its hard for me to rate such a light disc bc im used to 165g-175g drivers. so i have to throw this disc different due to the weight. but from what i can tell this is a good disc and has a nice predictable path with a decently smooth finish

Less fade than the Wraith, other than that it's the same flight. IMO just get a Wraith and when it gets beat in a little get a new Wraith and you won't need a Krait.

Nick covered it well. The Krait is a Wraith with less fade. I find it incredibly useful. It's a finesse driver. It powers down incredibly well. You can rip a Teebird and hit 375 or you can throw with 20-25% less power and get the same flight path from the Krait. I never throw this with more than 80% power. The flight pattern on this disc is so tight. It flies very, very straight, and the turn is actually very late acting. I love throwing the Krait. Useful for all skill levels. The one I tested was a Champion. Not sure how it flies in the new GStar.
