I have thrown a good amount of Gyro discs over the last year.  I wanted to test out the fairway lineup and started with the Crave and Clash, then Volt and Resistor - I really liked the Volt but oddly was having almost too much high speed turn and I wanted to find a more High speed stable fairway that still had reliable fade, but overall Straight!  I was recommended the Amp - now, I looked into it and it is supposed to be more understable than the Volt, and I thought....hmmmm idk if this is what I'd want.  I was assured that the Eclipse Amp is actually very High speed stable and acts like a more stable Volt still with minimal fade.  I decided to give it a try. - My results were true to that statement.

I have 2 Eclipse Amps 172-174g (so heavier) - I was very surprised how stable it was. At 85% power and fairly flat it would go out straight then fade decently the last 30% of flight.  At 100% power and flat release it does hold straight but gets a little shift/turn to hold a longer straighter line, then fades out.  It didn't seem to have much more glide than any other fairway I've used, maybe less? I would rate it something like 7/5/-0.5/1.5 or 8/4/0/1 - around those lines - It feels comfortable and flies consistent to the flight #'s I gave it.  The Volts I have will show more initial high speed turn but also fade a little more in the end, so I'd say the Volt is like a slower Valkyrie and the Eclipse Amp is like a Viking.  If that makes sense.   Its a good disc, NEUTRON plastic will probably be more understable and the PLASMA plastic will be much more understable, so you can actually carry 2-3 of these and cover a lot of shots.  - be aware of plastic and weight to get the flight you want.

Infinite Discs has the numbers for this disc wayyyyy off. MVP's website has this disc listed as Neutral/Stable. I would give it a 9/5/-.5/2. The turn may even be a 0. This is one of my favorite discs as a forehand-favoring player. There is a noticeable, but not huge difference between the neutron and eclipse plastic. I bag a neutron for turnovers that will eventually get back to flat with a light finish. On hyzer, this disc is incredible for tunnel shots. My eclipse is a workhorse in my back. I throw it flat or on a slight hyzer for straight flight with a more noticeable fade. Do not listen to the numbers on this site, because they are incredibly off. However, I would highly recommend this disc to anyone between beginner and intermediate and up.

I know eclipse plastic has been said to be overstable, but I may as well be throwing my Volt.  I'm gonna have to get an Amp in plasma or neutron cause this thing only turns at full power or with a little wind.  That being said it's still not a bad disc once you realize it's a slightly less stable, more glide volt, but no where near -3 in eclipse plastic. You can put some anny on this thing and cover alot of ground.  I bought it for the glow and I'm sad to say it's not what I was hoping.  It's glow is on par with moonshine and the like but not close to super glow or regular old glow duct tape.
