This disc is able to hold any line. Any shot that is open and need about 250-300 feet, I usually reach for this disc.

Out of the Amp, Volt, and Shock line up the Amp is by far my favorite fairway driver. I am LHBH throwing around 400'. The courses I normally play are very wooded and the Amp is a perfect shot-shaping disc. Thrown flat the Amp will demonstrate high speed turn slightly and then hook back toward the end. On anhyzer the Amp will hold very well and if given enough height will still hook back. Hyzerflips are easy on this disc which is perfect for wooded courses. Distance wise the Amp has gone up to 420' for me thrown flat, but not consistently.

The Amp became a staple in my bag, and is my biggest workhorse disc.

A great fairway driver for beginners! It has great glide that carries the disc forward longer, a touch of turn and a gentle but reliable fade. It is very similar to a teebird but has a little bit of turn. Works great as a go to driver for slower arms and new players, and a great tunnel shot driver for more experienced players.

    5/5!

Loving it, and heavily biased: I'd recommend that anyone maintaining a pulse and spending much of it on this sport needs about three of these.

Initially bought a 175 Proton. I liked it enough to get overconfident--threw it rhbh into a 2 o'clock headwind, watched it sail up, then over, then back past me into a river. SUUUPER BUMMED. I looked for it every game afterward for three months...no luck.

Later traded for a lightly used 174g Neutron. INSTANT LOVE. Thing soars like my heart after a really good brownie. Handles any angle I feel competent in with grace, is easy to throw flat, spinny & smoothly, lands where I think it will 9.34/10 times. Almost a point-n-shoot fairway driver. As much as I use it, I can't say it's changing much with wear just yet.

Later picked up a 173g Plasma. Got it on clearance b/c it was warped. Hot water took most of the warp out of the rim but there's still a little divot in the flight plate. Somehow, rather than making it more understable, ig straightens the flight path out--it doesn't fade like a brick, but it doesn't flex or turn over, either...just rides flat but is super angle-sensitive at release. Going to update this after trying a different Plasma, but would recommend a Neutron version any day.

    Pros

    Point-n'-Shoot

    Reliable

    Predictable

    Reasonable

Handles winds very favorably--doesn't change as much as an "understable" mold should in different wind angles

Easy to throw all day/all tournament

    Cons

    ... ... Could roll a little better?

Get this if you like the Discraft XS, Axiom Wrath or Crave, DD Breakout, L64 Falchion. Also get this if you're a beginner looking for distance. Also get this if you're an experienced player who needs to thread the needle from the teepad.

Great disc. Bought mine awhile back and have been able to make some really accurate hammer throws as well as some long range drives without a lot of power. Plastic feels great and I feel like I can throw this disc any way and still have control. love this disc and never play without it.

The MVP Amp is the understable fairway driver disc for the MVP company, I did not really ever like this disc. I threw it once and it flipped quick and wanted to roll even when I did not put any power into my throws. If you know how to throw the disc it is better for you, if you are a beginner I wouldn't recommend this disc for you.

This disc was marketed as a beginner friendly understable driver. It was neither for me. Stable to over-stable, no glide, just a bick for an intermediate player.

The AMP is the first disc I was able to throw 300ft. This is definitely not a -3 turn but dont let that discourage you at all from buying this disc. This is a super straight flyer with the correct snap and has a moderate fade towards the very end of flight. Even though this disc is marked as a speed 8, I would say it requires the same power and snap that the MVP 11 speed drivers take. This is my goto disc for long narrow holes.

A friend got a used (but very good condition) Amp as part of a mystery box, and she let me throw it as we were warming up for a round.  I slung it downrange without much power, and as soon as it left my hand I knew it was something good.  It went dead straight with good glide, then tapered to a small but certain fade at the end.  My friend decided she didn't like the disc that much, so I traded her a Champion Leopard for it.  It is my second non-Innova disc, and I am loving it.

It is not understable for me, certainly not the "-3" advertised.  But that's okay:  it does what I ask and flies very well, even in windy conditions.  This morning I threw it uphill and into a stiff headwind from 150 feet out and it just parked within five feet of the basket.  Cannot ask for more.

I will be trying out other MVP discs, and I heartily recommend the Amp.

Been in love with disc since the first time I threw her. Threw this disc for the first time to test it out, it flew like a normal fairway driver, except about 100' farther. You put a little bit of power on this disc and it will go and keep going, and just when you think its about to stop going, it will decide to fly another 50 feet before its nice subtle fade. My new favorite disc.

Amp is my go to understable midrange. Sits nice on landing and is easy to control. Great disc for beginners as well.

Great disc, bought on accident because it was blank and stashed with the volts. Took me three rounds to look at the underside and see the raised amp, which made a lot of sense bc the flight path was not at all what I expected from a volt. Since then the amp has taken the underworld out of my bag. I love it 172 neutron plastic, and so easy to control. When its finished with its path it just sits. Very little skip or roll. Would highly recomend this disc to anyone looking for an understable fairway driver

I don't have a huge backhand, but the Amp makes it look like I do. It isn't so touchy that I need more power for my weaker backhand, but it makes my less-than-flawless backhand form look pretty great.

For me, it flies super straight when thrown flat. It may flip up almost imperceptibly, and then it fades at the end finishing barely left of the initial path it was thrown on.  That would be the Frozen Rope that you hear folks refer to. This was the first disc I was able to backhand over 300 feet.

This may sound crazy to some (because it was crazy to me), but when I played with it yesterday in the wind, it was unaffected, headwind, tailwind, SUPER consistent. Loved it!

This.one is still a mystery to me. Its supposed to be their turnover disc and I'm just not consistently. I've got pretty good snap, albeit inconsistent at times, and it just doesn't want to turn. At least not like some of my other turnover discs. Maybe my expectations are too high for a new disc without any break in. I haven't given up on it by any means but it's going to have to get its act together if it wants a place in an already crowded bag

The MVP AMP is a fairly decent disc. The plastic and feel are the same as any of the other mvp discs. If you already own one you already know what kind of feel your getting. If you dont you can look at my review or some others on here to get an idea. The flight of this disc is definitely understable. Watching a friend throw mine with a bit of crosswind (he throws RHBH)I saw this disc at least 400' but to our right. The problem i saw when there is a crosswind, is that this disc wont come back. It just goes and eventually falls out of the sky. If there is no crosswind you can get a good flight path out of this disc. This disc is really easy to throw and would be suitable for all level of players. I don's use mine too often because if their happens to be a crosswind i have no idea what this disc is gonna do.

When I need a nice fading RHBH disc I go to the AMP, it has a great understable flightpath that fades slightly left at the end. But when thrown with power it can hold a great anhyzer. It has a smaller rim which feels good in the hand and the plastic overmold can take one hell of a beating!

I have a 175 Special Edition Amp. I was worried that this disc would be too understable to have lots of distance, but man was I wrong! My Amp is definitely not a -3 turn and 1 fade, which is nice. This disc flies more like a longer Leopard. When thrown on an anhyzer line, this disc goes for days! This disc and the Undertow are the longest fairway drivers I have thrown.
