    171g Neutron Dimension, Lab Second.

I got an L2 Dimension from the 2024 Gyropalooza box.  I've been intruiged by the disc, but as someone who usually cycles Destroyers, I had no intention of adding this to my bag.  The other day I took this one out to the field alongside my normal bag of distance drivers, and my god was I surprised by the results...

On a flat, max-power throw, I get a light turn, a good push for about 85% of the flight, and a consistent but not staggeringly overstable fade.  The clear distinguishing factor that makes this disc great though is the speed.  It basically flies like my Destroyers, including the glide impressively, but does so noticeably faster.  This means I easily got 25-30 feet of extra distance on the same line.  I was expecting a beefcake - a PD2 or a max-speed Fireball.  Instead I got a reliable max-distance driver thats giving me an existential crisis because now I don't know what to do with the 10 Destroyers and Emperors I have on my shelf at home.

To clarify on my overstability rating (Slightly Overstable), I would say more accurately that it's simply "overstable".  Not slightly overstable, but also not very overstable.  It's exactly the stability I want for an open-field bomber disc that I can lean on and rely on similar results.

I just ordered another Neutron Dimension to confirm this wasn't a fluke... if it isn't, this is going to be my new distance driver 100%.

This disc is simply put, great! While the fission and neutron versions of this disc fly nothing alike, they do make for an excellent and complimentary combo of flights.

The neutron is a pretty overstable discs that has a very nice pushing fade, despite its very wide rim and torque resistance and general overstability. I would not recommend the neutron for a beginner whatsoever, both due to the huge rim and very overstable flight. This discs has surprised me by how it fights into a headwind and goes surprisingly far on an anny line.

    Disc - 173 Nuetron Dimension

Feel - The feel of this disc is the main reason I do not bag it. I feel that I have fairly large hands but the rim of this disc is still very large in the hand. I do not particularly like wide rimmed drivers of any kind just because I feel they are quite a bit less controllable.

Flight - The flight of this disc is really good. It is a nice consistently overstable driver that can handle some wind and consistently skips due to the wide rim. The feel like I mentioned above caused some inconsistencies in release but other than that this is a great disc.

Overall - The rim of this disc is really wide which caused me to not bag this disc. It feels a lot better for forehands but I would rather have a disc I can use for both spins.

Flight numbers are spot on. No turn at all. Just goes straight when release flat and then fades left on the last 1/3 of the flight and skips at the end. This disc has a rare combination of speed, glide, and overstability. Usually you cant get this much glide on a disc this overstable, but this disc seems to do it. The wide rim and neutron plastic is easy to grip and rip. These MVP & Axiom discs are quickly replacing the Innova and Discraft discs in my bag.

Another addition to MVP's 2.5mm rim series of discs.

    Feel:
This rim is big, but it is not uncomfortable. The Dimensions that I have felt have been on the flatter side.

    Flight:
This is where the dimension lacked a bit for me. I was looking for something a touch more overstable. The ones that I had thrown would flip to flat, ride a little left, then finish hard. Massive skips on these due to the rim size. They go far, but aren't quite as resilient to the wind as I had hoped.

Overall, this is a great stable disc, and one of the best feeling drivers from MVP.

I got one of these to try out as a headwind disc and it's even too overstable for that. I think that maybe I got a variation that is more OS then normal because I have hundreds of discs and this is among my most overstable discs I have ever thrown. I would compare it to a max weight Nuke OS in Z or a Kastaplast Rask. I keep it around in case of those 30 mph days though. Maybe it will make the bag if the wind is crazy. I also had a friend throw it who throws 450+ and he barely threw it out of his shadow too.

The MVP Dimension is one of those discs that actually flies true to its assigned numbers. Lightning fast, with good glide and no high speed turn. This driver can survive even the most brutal of rips and performs admirably in headwinds. I'd compare it flightwise to an Ape, but noticeably faster. The Dimension covers ground at lightning speed, and gains very good distance despite not really flexing out. I found I could force it over anny and get some nice S curves.

Make no mistake, the Dimension is a beefy driver for experienced players. I'd never recommend this disc to beginners. The 14 speed rating is legit. The Dimension is among the fastest overstable drivers on the market.

This disc is a head wind monster! Or a great skip disc for those tricky shots. It’s not my furthest flying disc, but this does exactly what it says and with that being said it’s definitely not for everyone. The large rim takes some getting use to.

I use this on long open shots into a head wind typically. Into a head wind I put a slight hyzer (RHBH) on it and it pops up and goes like no other.... my local course has a 475ft hole that’s fairly open and almost always has a decent head wind... I over shot the basket by at least 20 feet and shocked the group, and myself. After something like that happens it’s hard not to love it.

The disc also works great in those low side arm (RHFH) shots where you need a big skip to the basket.

It’s just a great headwind fighter and utility disc

    Good disc for headwinds.

The dimension is a very over-stable disc that has a relatively late, but hard hook at the end. When thrown hard you can get a little high speed turn, hold for a second, and then hooks back reliably. In a headwind the Dimension will fly straight and still hook at the end of the flight. This disc is best for advanced throwers as it is a very high speed and high stability disc.

    Awesome disc!

My star Destroyers were giving me to much left to right in the flight to be consistent. This disc is faster with a straighter flight pattern.420 to 450 ft power its a slight turnover that finishes strong with a big skip left. Great for backhand and forehand if you have 400 ft power.I still love my Destroyers but for me the dimension is farther and much more consistent.

This disc is BEEF. Very overstable unless you get the spin it requires, but goes a mile if you can get it up to speed. Will not burn even in harsh headwinds and a forced flex with a tailwind will really show you its speed. I would probably give it 4.5 glide, but still need to test it out more. Rim feels OK, probably not going to forehand, but fine if you're launching a backhand.

Players with above average arm speeds will find this to be a bomber that is still controllable. You don't need world class distance to get this disc to work for you but those will slower arm speeds will find a this disc to be a meat hook. If you get it up to speed on a straight line, it will ride smooth with reliable stability and fade at the end of the flight. It's a little less overstable out of the hand than domey star destroyers but still has a similar flight path at the end.

When I'm facing a slight headwind or just need distance that I need to finish to the left (RHBH), I'm probably pulling out the dimension. If it's a major headwind or I need a stronger fade I'm going with a utility meathook but short of that the dimension is great!

This disc is a beefy bomber. I have one in 171 and another in 175, and have got to say there is a useful difference. In max weight, there is no such thing as headwind. You just throw it and it will be a trusty hyzer for reliable distance. The 171 I have been able to use for some forced anny shape shots, with a consistent fade out. For RHFH, this has a trustworthy fade and can be used for distance flex, same as RHBH.

This is my go-to for anything 380+ that requires a RHBH left fade, or for shots that a large S would be a useful shape shot.

I bought the dimension right before our annual family disc golf tournament at Lake Walcott, and right from it's maiden flight, it has been a staple in my bag.

I would say that I have a descent amount of arm speed. With that being said, I have used this for big hyzer shots in the 340-375 range, and for anything that I need to fight the wind. I haven't had this turn over on me but I would say that this is a milder over stable disc that holds its line prior to finishing on a harder fade at the end.

From someone who throws a max weight star destroyer, this was a good fit in my bag. If I want a little extra time in the air prior to fading this is my go to overstable driver.

Let me start by saying that this disc isn't good for beginners or weak arms.

My natural tendency is to grow a slight anhyzer thanks to a broken wrist as a teenager. I can control my shots, but when I just relax and throw, it's an anny release.

I took this bad boy out today and I was very pleased. My first throw was about 300 ft with a crosswind left to right. I released with a slight anhyzer and it finished straight (thanks to the crosswind).

My next shot with it, I unloaded on it with a solid anhyzer into the wind and that thing flipped up and flexed out for about 425'.

The Dimension has some serious speed and overstability, but it's just the disc for someone with a big arm.  To me, it's a faster Tee-Rex.

inbetween an octane and a nitro in stability but faster than either. for my arm speed it goes straight for a long way and fades at the end. i'm throwing it around 450' on a straight to fade line. i bet these will go well over 500' for me on distance lines once i get one beaten in. will turn a bit in a slight headwind but still controllable. haven't thrown it in really strong wind yet. i think it'll end up replacing my fuzion defenders, similar stability but faster and longer.

I had the opportunity to go out and do some fieldwork with a handful of the new MVP and Axiom high speed drivers today. It was a lot of fun to throw these new discs that really can carry a lot of distance. They all flew great, but I would say that I found the MVP Dimension to be the least favorite of the discs tested today. Again, all the discs flew great, and maybe what would be more accurate is I found that the Dimension was the least useful to me out of the discs that I tested. So the Dimension is a pretty overstable high speed disc. One of the discs I was testing it alongside was the Axiom Panic. So in comparison, while the Panic flew more overstable and with a more dumpy finishing fade, the Dimension to me was just a slightly toned down Panic. It didn't fight back as hard at the end of the flight. So if I were to put any of the discs in my bag that I threw today, the Dimension probably wouldn't make the cut, and that is probably just because of my preference. I could get a more stable, straight driver and the Panic to do all the work I would need. I wouldn't really need another mold in between, which is what the Dimension is in my opinion.

Now, the Dimension is still a fantastic disc. If you are an MVP and Axiom thrower, and the Panic has a little too much sauce for you to handle, step over to the Dimension and give it a try. It may end up being exactly what you are looking for. It may not find a home in my bag, but I have no problem recommending it to a friend to put into theirs.

I have really enjoyed the new maximum speed drivers from MVP, the Relativity, the Teleport, and now the Dimension. The Dimension is definitely the more overstable of the trio, but still is not massively overstable. When thrown with as much speed as I could muster, it flies straight for about 250 feet before it starts making the hard fade, so it can still work great for me when I need a distance driver that has a significantly curved flight path, going around an obstacle 200-250 feet away. I'm not the most powerful thrower, so I'm sure that other players could get it further than that with similar effect. I got more distance when releasing it with a significant anhyzer flex. The Dimension is also very affective for high, hyzer lines, and for throwing on long drives into a head-wind.

I am seriously considering bagging all three of these 2.5cm rim, high-speed drivers from MVP for a wide range of understable to overstable flight paths because they are fun to throw. I wouldn't recommend any of them for beginners, since they are high-speed distance drivers and require a strong release. But players who love throwing high-speed drivers should love all three. The Dimension won't fly straight for long, but it isn't meant to.
