The Nomad is the first disc in the James Conrad line. This putter has a small bead to provide additional longevity. The Nomad has a neutral flight on drives and a stable to overstable flight while putting, making for a go-to putter that can handle power on the drives and spin on the putts.

The James Conrad line is set to feature some of his favorite places to travel and tie in MVP's theme of science. This putt & approach disc was inspired by Park Avenue trailhead in Arches National Park in Moab, Utah.

In prep for a "putter only" charity tourney, I bought about 10 different putters; a couple of Aviars, a Mercy, a Pure, InnerCore, Wizard, Magic, Nomad, Glitch, Ohm, etc. Threw them all but couldn't decide, after a few days I had my son hand them to me while I had my eyes closed. The Nomad won 3 rounds of this little game, by far, felt the most comfortable shape in my hand and grippy plastic but not sticky. (I keep looking but only the Pure comes close in comfort and confidence)

I bought it with no stamp and used but I think its Electron Soft. I kept that one for putting and bought an R2 for throwing, I'm less a fan of the R2 plastic, mostly becuase it is black and hard to see when I throw it in the woods so it hangs out in the practice stack but, it flies straight for me.

By far my favorite putter I've owned. I've tried Aviars, P2s, Wizards, etc. Just trying to find which putter was right for me. This is a solid putting putter with great glide.

I keep coming back to this putter. I've used this as my putter for the past 2 years and have tried switching from it on more than one occasion and I can't do it. This putter is extremely comfortable in the hand with a shallow but not overly shallow for a larger hand feel and it can take all the spin in the world. Dead straight flight on a putt with a slight finish as it slows down or when thrown for approaches it flips up a bit and then holds dead straight. I have one that's beat in that I use for upshots and it flips up and rides to the right nice and smooth and holds whatever line I put it on. Truly one of the best putters I've ever thrown and by far the best putter I've ever used for both driving and putting.

I got the special edition James Conrad version and tried putting with it for a while and never liked it as a putter in most conditions. Although, it is my go to putter when its windy. However, I started using it as a throwing putter and this thing bombs! I can get most small rim putters out around 250 feet. This putter I've gotten out to almost 300 feet. It's easily the farthest, smoothest flying putter I have ever thrown. It throws very similar to a Tomb but more predictably straight in various conditions and farther.

My current putting putter. Feels great in the hand and has a predictable flight. Love the Electron Soft for winter and colder weather, and will switch over to my Electron Firm Nomads in the heat of the summer. I don't throw these off the tee, I use an Envy for that. Love the color variations too!

    Electron Soft Nomad

This is my current putting putter.  It flies very straight with a little fade at the end. Since this putter is very neutral, be careful putting in head winds. The electron-soft plastic has a very nice grip and is still very firm. It is a beaded putter, so if that's what you're looking for, this may be the putter for you.

The Nomad has been my putting putter for about a year now. It has a very consistent flight if I throw it, holding straight with reliable fade. The same holds true for all of the putts, as well. The rim is slightly deeper, so it my not be the best for forehand flicks. I also noticed that as it beats in, my ES Nomad has more of a tendency to get on edge and roll, even on missed putts from inside the circle. However, I do recommend it for its consistent flight and great grippy feel in the hands both for putting and throwing.

I have this in electron soft at 165 g. It holds lines well with an accurate 1 fade. The glide is accurate at 4, so be careful of headwinds. As this disc beats in, you will find it lose fade. The electron soft is not as soft as most other brands, but it is grippy. I prefer the Atom for spin putts and the Nomad for push putts. I will be ordering a heavier Nomad, as the 165 g can sometimes chain out.

My current putting putter.  The mold is very comfortable with a clean release.  Electron plastic is one of the best base plastics out there, and it won't beat in too fast.  I have begun throwing them for short tee shots and approaches that need a nice easy turn without having to crank on it.

It take a lot to tear me away from my Yeti Pro putters but, this one is making me take a look. Killer grip, deep and beaded have been my requirements and the Nomad has them. I give the glide a 3 instead of 4. Maybe more glide when it beats in. I'm using it just for putting and it has a very confident feel. The Electron soft beats in super fast. I'm sure it's just me but, this disc does seem to not catch as well on single chain, practice baskets. Not sure if its the plastic on the outer rim or what. Just a different kind of putt, I'm sure.

I bought the Nomad originally because of the SE Conrad stamp. I ended up switching from a Crown to the Nomad for more putting putters. The Electron Soft plastic is super comfortable in my hand. The normal stamp and the SE stamp are both sick looking. I imagine in the medium or hard plastic this would make a great turnover drive putter once it beats in. If they ever come out with a premium plastic Nomad I will pick it up right away.

I bought it to try out as a putter. I am currently going back and forth between spin putting and push putting. I can't seem to figure out which style I like the most, but I practice both every night in my back yard and will switch back and forth depending on wind conditions and just how I feel overall for the day.

As far as putting it concerned, this disc will be impacted by the wind more than most other putters will. I have been putting with the Luna and the Luna just sort of feels like your tossing/spinning a rock at the basket, the Nomad feels like your tossing/spinning a floaty disc at the basket.

One interesting thing about the Nomad is its ability to just drop straight down once it touches a chain. The outer rim is very grippy and the disc seems to lack inertia if it hits any kind of metal or chains, it just seems to fall straight down upon contact. Unlike other putters that can continue carrying/deflecting past the metal or chains, this one just seems to fall down. I can miss my putt and hit left or right side chains and it just seems to drop straight down in the basket more often than my other putters. I can see how many people would like this putter, but I have just got so used to how my Luna feels and throws that I am more consistent at hitting center chains with my Luna and have continued bagging it for putting.

My most pleasant surprise about the Nomad was using it as a throwing putter. This is my farthest flying straight putter. I can throw it straight as an arrow for 320 feet. It might fade 3 feet to the left at the very end of the flight, but it is minimal compared to every other putter I have thrown. Most putters that I have thrown that are supposed to fly straight just turn over into rollers for me when I throw full power, this one actually goes straight unlike the others. It can take all of my power and still go straight.

Really like this disc so far been using it in my yard a lot. Feels like a good touchy throwing putter or just a good trusty inside putting range disc. Feels nice and controllable with the right power of course.
