The Nomad is the first disc in the James Conrad line. This putter has a small bead to provide additional longevity. The Nomad has a neutral flight on drives and a stable to overstable flight while putting, making for a go-to putter that can handle power on the drives and spin on the putts.

The James Conrad line is set to feature some of his favorite places to travel and tie in MVP's theme of science. This putt & approach disc was inspired by Park Avenue trailhead in Arches National Park in Moab, Utah.

Great disc to throw and putt. I putt with the plasma and it has great feel. Can be slippery when wet and during the colder months. Would highly recommend

This review will cover Electron, R2 and Plasma.

Electron: I use this primarily for putting. Plastic holds up fairly well. It's nice and grippy, but not too grippy to the point where I can't get good releases. It holds the angle I put it on and holds it with a slight fade at the end when putting.

R2: Surprisingly this beat-in to fairly flippy. Plastic still feels nice and when given the appropriate amount of power and hyzer angle, will flip up and hold that line before gently settling down.

Plasma: This is my primary driving putter when I need something to hold straight and fade gently at the end. Even at my arm-speed I am pushing it very close to 300ft which is super far for me. Even more so for a putter. The Nomad has great glide. The rim depth is great too as I can power grip it for maximum spin. I cannot power grip a lot of putters comfortably, but the Nomad I can. Plasma holds up very well and even after nearly a year the flight characteristics have not changed.

I posted a review of the electron Nomad but wanted to make one for the plasma Nomad because it's a completely different disc.

The Plasma Nomad is a unique disc. It doesn't fly like any other MVP disc that I've tried. It's super solid feeling, like a baby Entropy, but it isn't near as over stable as an Entropy.

What sets the plasma Nomad apart is how it holds any line you put on it at the angle you put it on without trying to fade out or turn and burn. It just holds the angle, flattens out ever so slightly on an anny, and lands soft.

I tried it on a 375' downhill left to right anny and parked it. Normally I'd pull out a Crave or Wave for that kind of turnover distance. The Nomad held the angle exactly as I threw it, only flattening out very slightly at the end to remove any cut roll issues, then landed flat and soft.

I've also started using the plasma Nomad for windy putts since it has the same cut and micro bead as the electron version.

The plasma Nomad is not a beginner disc. If you can't get max spin on the disc it won't do anything you want it to do. It really needs that spin to hold the angles and/or to go straight. It's a 2 speed putter by the numbers, but on big throws it flies more like a thick mid range, again, the idea of a baby Entropy comes to mind.

All in all, it's not coming out of my bag. It's a unique disc obviously designed for Conrad by how it flies (holds any line, withstands high torque) and the snap required to make it fly like it should.

If you're looking for a unique putter that can take torque and land soft at any angle, give the plasma Nomad a try.

Note on flicks: I'm not a big sidearm guy and normally reserve my flick for 150' and in up shots. The plasma Nomad handles these flicks well. I've always used my Stabilizer for putter flick up shots, but lately I've felt that the plasma Nomad is more reliable especially if there's a little bit of wind.

The numbers I chose, 2/4/.5/.5 are what you get with enough torque on the disc. If you straight wrist it and don't get the spin, then I'd adjust the fade to be between 2 and 3.
