After MVP discontinued several older mids, the Reactor is the first to be born from the ashes. The Reactor is a workhorse midrange, designed to follow any line and fill any slot in the bag. It will handle big hyzers as well as big turnovers. Tell it where to go, and it will listen. The Reactor has a "modern" midrange rim, and is the first in MVP's Next Generation of midrange discs.

The Fission Reactor is a great and versatile stable mid. It's true to its numbers, getting a bit of turn and a bit more fade on flat throws. It's also pretty easy to manipulate on different lines. It holds long hyzers well, and on anny throws it will keep the line for most of the flight before fighting out at the end. It's not the best headwind fighter, but in moderate winds it will stand up and fly pretty straight.

I really love this disc, I hated it starting out. Super, super stable. This disc will fly exactly how it is thrown. It makes a tear come to the eye successfully throwing this disc. I know that I threw a good shot. This disc is for good players, or it will make you a good player.

I have reactors in every plastic I could find, but this review is specifically for the fission reactor

Right out the gate, I do not like the feel of new runs of fission plastic. Just doesn't do it for me. If there was an electron reactor, it would go straight in the bag in place of this one.

Since there isn't an electron reactor, this one stays as part of a trio of reactors that nicely cover all my mid range throws. In fission, especially heavy fission (170+) this disc *holds* the line you put it on. It doesn't fade, just pushes forward. If you put it on a hyzer, it's there the whole way. If you put it on anhyzer, it's there the whole way. Really doesn't like to move side to side in flight.

Because this disc follows exactly along the line you throw it on, it's hard to recommend it as a beginner disc because it might be frustrating. But you should get it anyway, because it'll teach you how to throw properly.

Picked this disc up on a whim at a local store and it didn't disappoint. Didn't notice much turn when I threw it the first few times but as I 've beaten it in slightly, it gets just enough turn now to hold straight for a while and then gently fade as it slows down which has been very important on the courses I generally play. I just bought two more in different plastics than what I currently have and really look forward to seeing what they can do.

Great disc. With this disc in fission plastic, I find that I get a lot of turn and a lot of fade on the same shot, netting a throw that goes overall straight but that can carve through the trees really well. Feels good in the hand.
