I loved this disc the first time i threw it.

Backahnd and sidearm, it is perfect for tight tunnels and controlled turnovers.  I depended on this disc in one of my favorite tournament rounds and it weaved its way to where it needed to be.

I have since replaced it with teh mako3 for just a touch more stability, but this disc is highly recommended for anyone looking for a great hyzer flip mid range to help them smooth out their lines.

I really dont have anything bad to say about this disc, definately a quality mold.

The M4 was the best midrange in the Prodigy lineup in my opinion. It felt great in the hand very similar to a lot of the most popular non beaded midranges. The M4 is exactly what most people are looking for with a midrange. It can handle a little power but will flip up to flat and fly dead straight for about 90% of its flight before slightly fading at the end. I think the m4 in 400 plastic will be straighter than a lot of the other competitors like the buzzz or truth. But it is still a great midrange for all skill levels. It does great things when you work it on angles because it really likes to hold anhyzer or hold a hyzer if thrown well. All skill levels will find a spot in their bag for the m4 if not having multiple m4s in their bag like some pros such as Cale Leviska or Kevin Jones.

If I had to play a round with one disc, it's this. Easily goes straight, can hold an anny or hyzer. Very forgiving and comfortable

    Disc - 400 M4

Feel - The M4 feels great in the hand. It is fairly shallow has a nice rim shape. This is one of my favorite feeling mids that I have thrown. It feels really good for forehands as well as backhands.

Flight - the M4 is one of the best prodigy discs in my opinion. I have not thrown everything prodigy makes, but I have thrown a decent amount and the m4 is up there. It has a great late flip without overflipping. The one I have is fairly new still so it has a bit of late stability but it seems like it will lose some of that stability and be a great turnover disc.

Overall - There is a reason so many pros love this mid. It has great glide and a great straight to turnover flight.

I need to start by saying that I love this Mid. Just adore it. The plastic is great, comparable to Star plastic from Innova, which makes it a great cold weather disc. The under stability does well to convert this thing into a good 'go-for' disc as well, as the glide seems to work harder keeping the original line than just doing what it can to keep the disc from hitting the ground. Once it's done gliding, it just drops out of the sky. I love that. Speaking of the stats, though, the under stability is a bit baffling to me. Not for it's flight, but for how Prodigy rates it. If you bomb this thing, it doesn't fade back, it just ends straight. It also needs surprisingly little power to do what you want as well. So here's the deal. I've never won professional tournament. I'm not sponsored by anyone. I'm asking you, though, to review the stats I gave it.

PROS: Perfect for the shots where you don't know if you should bust out a putter or midrange.

CONS: I strongly feel as though the statistics it comes with are not accurate.

I'm an intermediate level player and I rely heavily on the M4 for almost all my laser straight shots. It flies dead straight so it's perfect for tight lines and narrow gaps, and it also works well for anhyzer shots because it will hold whatever line you put it on. It flies almost identical to my Innova Mako3.

Great disc that floats wonderfully when thrown soft or will hold a turn when given height and power.

The M4 is a phenomenal midrandge disc. It is definitely understable as prodigy would indicate. If you are a player with a little more power, you would only be reaching to this disc for long turnover shots that keep holding. Due to that, I would recommend picking up this disc in a more premium plastic to get a longer life span out of the disc. This is one of the midranges I would encourage newer players to try, as they would be able to get a dead straight flight out of this disc!

This disc is simply amazing. It fits well in my hand and will fly great for Fast or Slow arm speeds. I use this disc primarily in the woods, or for a very slow turnover shot. If I am throwing it with full arm speed and release it with a good amount of hyzer this disc will go dead straight!!

I got this disc in max weigh (180g), so it's a little tough to throw.  The 400S plastic is gorgeous however.  It reminds me of Kastplast plastic in a way.  As far as the M4 goes, being a mid I wish I had a lighter weight.  Solid disc though.

This is my first disc ever from prodigy. Cale is my favorite pro disc golfer and I have heard nothing but good things about this disc and prodigy plastics. I decided to grab a Core Series 400 M4. It's a beautiful light pink with a dark 'lilac' stamp.

For starters, I don't usually carry many mids, currently I am bagging 3/4 mids out of a 22 disc bag. I am a diehard OG Star Mako fan (not mako3) and I thought I would never need another neutral midrange. However, this plastic is so nice and the M4 just fills my hand better than any other mid has before. It honestly feels and flies like how I wanted the mako3 to feel and fly. It will hold whatever line you release it on, but is not quite as sensitive as my makos are. This disc is somehow neutral but also fairly stable at the same time. It can hold a line even in a moderate headwind if you throw it properly. I will say this disc was not going quite as far (about 10 feet shorter) in a few field tests as my makos were, but that could be just because I am not totally familiar with it yet. This is why i rate the speed at 4 even though it has more of a 5 speed wing than a mako.

In the end, I will hope to find room for one mako and one M4 in my bag. In a tailwind situation I would reach for the mako to get the extra distance. But if I need a tiny bit of stability or fade I will be reaching for the M4. I prefer the turnover line on the mako but the straight line on the M4. It's definitely a disc worth checking out for any skill level player especially if you've never tried anything from Prodigy before.

This is my second Prodigy disc ever, and my first true mid from Prodigy.

I love this mid so much. The Cale Leiviska runs have some awesome colors going on, and my green M4 has an awesome subtle purple "X" going through it.

The feel in the hand is fantastic. A modified power grip is like magic with this disc. I can even full power grip it if I really want to crank over an open anny shot. Either way, it releases buttery smooth, and the 400S plastic offers a great amount of grip. My first outing with it was after a long rain shower, and I couldn't believe how easy it was to just throw it in the wet grass and throw again immediately without feeling slippage.

My biggest takeaway with this mold is its glide. I was surprised at first when some of my longer approach shots were flying over the pin. You really don't have to put too much on it to get a decent amount of distance, yet you can still give it some oomf and the M4 will handle the power well.

My M4 is still really fresh. I can throw it on a slight hyzer and have it pop up for dead straight flight or give a little turn with more power behind it. Thrown flat will give you a healthy turn and a slight fade depending on your height. I love this disc for it's anny shots. It will just hold a nice slow anny to the ground.

Overall, I'm pretty smitten by this mold. The flight reminds me of my nicely seasoned Z Buzzz, but it gives me just a bit more glide and more confidence if I have to fully power grip it.
