This is a magic disc for me - If I need a long (280+) straight shot I can get it there with the Tursas.  So much glide, it doesn't have as much turn as expected but it just goes and goes, with a little turn and just a bit of fade at the end.  Tunnel shots, throw this thing hard and flat and it will get you there.  The one thing the Tursas doesn't like is wind, it flips like crazy in any kind of headwind.  But calm or a tailwind, I can get this thing to travel almost like a straight fairway driver out to over 300 feet with a 70% pull.

I had no idea how useful this disc was going to be when I got it. So serious when I say that you absolutely need this disc if you are a beginner or even an intermediate player. You do not have to crank on this disc to get 200 feet out of it. It has really great glide for a midrange, actually the best glide I've ever seen from one.

For beginners: This midrange will be the most used disc in your bag. This will teach you proper form and provide you with a midrange that you can point and shoot with. It will finish straight for you with just a touch of low speed fade and will be extremely dependable for you. Please get this as your first mid-range, I promise you won't regret it.

For intermediates: Don't count this thing out as a baby arm disc!!! Realistically think about this... do you really want to just unload on every disc every round? Wouldn't it be nice to just kind of power down for a few shots a round on a nice 150-200 ft upshot and get a nice straight flight from a disc that takes virtually no power to get going? I'm not saying that it won't turn over, it will... just power down, relax, and enjoy a nice easy breezy round of disc golf made easier with your Tursas. Put your game on cruise control!

So, I've had my 167g Tournament Tursas for a few months now and I have to say I'm impressed. When I was buying this disc I was expecting a utility disc mostly for shorter turnovers and low ceiling tunnel shots. But the Tursas is so much more than that. The biggest thing I have to mention is the GLIDE. Effortless glide. Release it on a hyzer with touch of power and it will stand up and fly forever. Every time I throw this disc I watch it stand up, fly, then as it slows down I expect it to fade out and finish left like every other disc. But. It. Just. Doesn't. Stop. If you don't put too much power on it and turn it over it will finish straight every time. Where the Tursas really shines is shots where you need that extra glide to sneak by (shooting uphill, a lie that doesn't really let you give a full throw/reach back, etc).

Before this I was throwing a Latitude 64 Goldline Core. Now the Tursas didn't kick my Core out of the bag. I'll still pull out the Core if I need a nice hyzer finish or if I'm wanting a mid off the tee (the Tursas can't really handle a drive in my opinion. That's why it's getting 4 stars not 5 stars but you can hardly blame a disc for doing what it's supposed to. But if you try to crush on the Tursas there's no telling where you'll end up so I can't really trust it off the tee.). But anything that's not a tee shot or finishing left, I'm grabbing the Tursas. So much fun to throw. Everyone I've let throw it has been as surprised as I was. This disc is so much more than the numbers would lead you to think. Highly recommended.
