The Discmania CD3 is a very special disc that was useful in the hands of many players, regardless of skill level because of its high glide, straight flight, and soft finish. This disc is now out of production, and we don't know if Discmania will ever make it again. The 2023 DD1 has the same flight numbers, so if they do release a CD3 again, it will likely fly different than the old one.

Phenomenal disc. Very trustworthy stability at the end of the flight with plenty of turn when thrown flat.

Very straight control driver. To me it is similar to a wraith but a little straighter out of the box. I use this for any control drive that my fairway drivers will not reach.

The CD3 is yet another entry into the Dicmania control driver series. I found this to feel more like a distance driver with the feel of the rim. The flight seemed like a lot less glidey Krait or Wriath to me. I was struggling to find the distance I was expecting with this disc without really cranking on it. It does have a nice s-flight path, but I feel there are other discs out there that fill this slot so much better.

The CD3 is a longer, more stable CD. It turns some out of the hand but has a fair amount of fade packed into it, especially before it gets some wear and tear. The rim is fairly big and I found it to be uncomfortable, but I'm sure if you had hands on the larger end of things it would feel better. I preffered backhanding the CD3, as it didn't agree with my forehand game too much. Ultimately while the disc was fine, I think there are much better discs to fill similar slots so I would not recommend this disc to a friend or fellow competitor.

The CD3 is essentially a Krait without the hugely poppy top that characterizes most Champ Kraits I've seen. Unfortunately, it does fly somewhat more overstable than that sweet spot the Krait hit for me, limiting distance potential and shapeability. Overall, while there aren't any huge negatives, this disc was pretty unremarkable: stable when it didn't need to be, and not overstable enough to want to bag for that reason. I would recommend a Krait, SL, or Journey over the CD3.

I love my CD3, although I haven't quite figured out how to consistently utilize it yet. My favorite throws with it are significant hyzerflips- it will stand up, ever so lightly track to right, but still fade a bit. However, personally, where I haven't consistently excelled is the aired-out high power light-turn shots. I've done it a couple times and it's great.

This disc can definitely be a versatile 11-speed for your bag. Doesn't take a crazy power arm to excel. It can be beginner friendly as a stable disc out of the box for most throwers, but may take higher power to capture the high-speed turn advertised.

Feels great in the hand, both BH+FH. Ratings are accurate

I won this disc at our local tags match, and let me say, I absolutely love it. The only problem that I really encounter with it is that I can't always get it to stay anhyzer, but other than that, it is a great disc.

Got a C-Line CD3 from Infinite Discs, and as always I was impressed with Infinite's FAST service.  The C-Line CD3 feels good in the hand and looks great.  I thought it would be like the Krait (same flight numbers), but the rims are a bit different and they fly a bit differently.

The CD3 turns a little bit before fading.  The distance is good, and I would imagine this disc will bomb when I get a chance to throw it while the wind is beating my face (i.e. headwinds).  I'm looking forward to trying the S-Line CD3 whenever it comes out, as well.

The CD3, at least in C-Line plastic,  is just not a disc for me. The Discmania CD3 is too fast and the rim is too thick for to be a comfortable control driver, and it's not a disc that I can get much distance out of.  For me, a new pink 172g CD3 just serves as an overstable driver for backhand throws. I don't get enough power to get it to stand up and fly straight and it simply fades out prematurely if I'm trying to get distance out of it.

For forehand throws, I was able to have some success throwing the CD3, and you can definitely see the negative turn rating when I flick it, but this disc is a little bit too sensitive for me to throw forehand consistently. My CD3 is pretty domey so if I hold on too long and release it on an anhyzer angle, it's not going to come out and will end in a lousy throw.  Perhaps in star plastic and at a lighter weight I would enjoy the CD3, but as of right now, this disc really serves no purpose for my throwing style and power.

I took the CD3 in C-Line plastic out for a spin and loved it. I'm already a huge fan-boy of the Discmania DDX and own several of them. The CD3 is basically just a DDX that is a tad slower speed (an 11 instead of a 12). So it won't fly quite as far as my DDX, but it sure flies with accuracy and great glide! I was able to park the CD3 close to a couple of baskets at 300-340 feet. The disc pulls a bit to the understable side upon release, but has a predictable fade to bring it back home.

I can't wait to get my hands on a CD3 in S-Line plastic, which is my plastic of choice when it comes to Discmania drivers. It may be a bit more understable in S-Line, which could provide a little variety to my bag.

I think the CD3 is a great disc for players who are trying to build up their speed and distance, giving you a disc that can perform without a lot of power. However, it also lends itself well to those who already throw with good power, so it definitely isn't a "beginner only" disc. I would rate it "neutral" when it comes to experience.
