I also have an electron version of this disc and it is my putting putter. I really like the feel of the disc in my hand and its got a great grip and flies really straight. I saw a misprint version of the Anode in proton plastic and picked it up not thinking how much slicker the grip would be. Because of that, I don't use this proton version as my consistent putting putter, but I really like it as an approach disc because it holds the line you throw it out really well. If I have to throw a backhand turnover line that I want to sit flat, this is my go to disc. I think you could also use this for short/straight drives, but because I'm a slower arm speed I usually bump up to a midrange for those. For people with faster arm speed, I think this proton disc could be a good driving putter. Overall, I love the Anode--the grippy electron for putting and the proton for approaching

I liked this disc while I had it. I threw it for a couple years back in 2013 or so. My use was primarily as a driving putter. I found just a little drift and fade on full power throws up to 300 feet.

If I'm being critical I didn't really love the feel and the price is a bit steeper then other brands as well. So I decided not to buy another one and have moved onto other brands. I still haven't found the one, however, after throwing probably 50-60 different molds, well maybe 70. The Tomb being the closest I think to being a great driving putter.

This putter is wicked awesome. Not sure why, but all of my best putts have come from this disc. It floats like a butterfly. When thrown with some anny, it floats and turns over in a perfect way, right towards the target. Compared to all of the other putters I've tried (DX Aviar, Judge, Challenger, Mercy, Wizard), this one just tends to go to where I want it to. I guess the extra glide is something I prefer. Mine is a 156g, and it does very wll, even in windy conditions. Not sure what else I can say - you have to try this putter!

This was my first MVP putter and it got me hooked big time on their putters. It is nice and straight in the circle with nice glide and of the pad it will do just about anything you ask of it. Definitely worth checking out if you have never tried a MVP putter.

If you want to buy a really straight flying putter with a grippy tacky feel in the hand while also paying 2X what a normal putter costs, then this is your guy/girl/xhe/they. Used it for in the circle putts and LOVE it for longer straddle putts. Don't use it for drives as it turns 'n burns for me and doesn't feel great upon release. Solid putter though, would reccomend if you're swimmin' in $$$

I've had the same Anode for over three years and it has beaten in greatly. I have a newer Anode and I find that they tend to have a slightly overstable finish when not beaten in. But now that mine is beaten in enough, it flies straight as an arrow and is extremely predictable. Not only does this disc fly straight, but it also can fly pretty far.

I went to an MVP Circuit challenge not knowing that during the distance competition, we could use any MVP disc we had. Well, the Anode was the only MVP disc I bagged, so I threw that baby and let me tell you... That disc flew 350 feet down a slight decline. So, needless to say, this disc is quite the utility disc.

I use this disc for approach shots and short drives off the tee. It has a smooth solid feel and doesn't feel like the other putters that I own. It does a good job of grabbing the ground when it hits.

Solid putter, and works pretty well in the wind. When I finally decided an aviar had too much glide for me when I was playing intermediate, the anode was what I decided to switch to.

I used the Anode for almost a year, but eventually decided it actually didn't have enough glide for my push/spin combination putt.

I like the Anode more as a driving putter than a putting putter.

Currently my go to approach disc. Holds any line I put it on, and even has worked as a roller upshot disc.

I really wanted to try out the MVP Anode after reading some reviews. After throwing the medium and soft for a few months now, I'm completely convinced that the only difference between soft and medium is the feel in the hand. I found them within 5-10' of each other over and over after throwing them both. They have the distinct feel of an Aviar, so if your hands like an Aviar (deep rim) then you'll like MVP Anodes. Smaller fingered folks (t-rex hands) might want to look elsewhere (Vibram). They took some getting used to for me for driving approaches. They have a nice glide right off the get-go, but I had to focus on keeping them flat to a touch of hyzer or I'd risk a turnover. A heavier weight might help to fight off that, but it was clearly user error when I turned it right with a RHBH. I throw a 171 Vibram Ridge with the same arm speed and it goes dead straight. It just took some adjustment. For putting, I'm liking them. I have been throwing a couple Classic Aviars in my putting practice, so the feel in the hand is something I am familiar with. If you want to find out if you will like an Anode before dropping the coin, try a DX Aviar for $8 to see if you like the shape. Less glide, similar shape, similar putters. They are very unique looking and even though I have them in Proton green - they show up super bright in the grass. Very easy to find on bad drives. Finally the weight. I went with 171 and eventually bought five of them for practice because I was so happy with it. In the wind, this disc gets moved around. I carry a 176 Lat Pure when it's serious wind. Slight wind, no problem - but as you guys know - big wind makes putting insane and going as heavy as possible is key.

Although I haven't thrown one yet, I did recently ask my group of local players what their most consistent go-to disc was. The Anode made the list, with one thrower saying, "Every time I was close enough to use it... Every time."

I spin putt and the proton anodes are my go to. Perfect for clean straight putts within the circle. I also carry one for approaches which are my go to. It's a real fun disc to throw for any round.

It's not as great as everyone says. It's not as straight flying as its hyped up to be and mine has begun to lose its shape, the rim is warped now. Also, proton plastic is the slipperiest plastic you will ever come across. Go buy a Gateway SSS Voodoo. Its the best putter in existence.

I switched to the Anode after a year of putting with a gummy Rhyno. I spent hours pouring over flight paths of discs, feeling friend's beaded and beadless discs and reading reviews before I settled on it. I was unhappy with my putting and decided to change from a spin putt to a push and wanted something truly straight and this was the disc. So far I'm pretty happy with my decision. When my putting is on I'm far more accurate with the Anode than I ever was with my Rhyno. This disc flies straight. That's all there is to it. When you get about 35+ ft out it will fade at the end, but not by much.

Straightest flying disc I have ever thrown. The Anode is perfect for approach shots and short drives where you want to minimize low speed fade. I use this disc for long putts as well as approach shots where you want the disc to go straight. 5 Star.

Small diameter putter, straight flyer right off the shelve. Mine is more of a puddle-top in the proton plastic. Perfect to drive off the tee with for shorter holes and $$$ in my opinion for upshots and putts anywhere from 10-30ft. Would reccomend this disc to anyone and quite often do!
