The P2 is a straight flying, but slightly overstable putter made by Discmania. This disc is stable enough that it can handle headwind throws and fairly long approach shots. This putter was designed specifically for pro players, but can be useful for disc golfers of all skill levels. This was the first disc that Discmania brought back when they took over their own production.

The Soft P2 is probably the best all around putter I've used. I picked up my first one because I saw how durable my girlfriend's JK Aviar was after a full season of use. The stability and durability are right on par with the JK Pro plastic as well. Mine looks pretty beat up, but it still holds the line I put it on with a touch of fade at the end. I definitely agree with the new flight numbers. These are certainly more stable than D-line and Stiff P-line, but not quite as overstable as C-line. It might be on par with S-line in that department.

These are a little tacky when fresh, but after a couple rounds the grip is just perfect. I prefer a stiffer putting putter personally, but this is still my go-to disc for a one disc round. Even with my full bag available, I find myself pulling this out on the teepad for shorter holes. I also give this disc to friends that are new to disc golf. It's really all that a beginner needs to get started.

Want to channel your inner James Conrad but don't like the bead of the JK Aviar? Try a Soft P2!

I've been using x line P2s for a few years and found they are now discontinued in x line plastic.  Tried the new soft P line and found it to be virtually the same feel.  I dd notice that the flight numbers on newly manufactured P2s to be 2,3,0,2 and not 2,3,0,1 as previosly marked.  Discmania says its the same mold but did not offer an explanation of the change in flight numbers.  Superb putter for my spin putt style.

This is by far the best putter I’ve thrown, I’ve tried many, but this is THE ONE. This is my go to inside circle one, has a great feel in the hand, and the perfect mixture of overstability and glide to create a trustworthy straight flying putter. 10/10 recommend

This version of the popular P2 feels great. I live in eastern PA and its been getting bitter cold lately. Played a tournament last weekend and when we teed off it was 19 degrees. About the P2, I received it yesterday and I had enough daylight left to take it to my local course and throw it on some approaches. The feel of this soft P line is perfect for the cold. It is so grippy but when its cold it stiffens up a bit to where it feels similar to a DX type stiffness. Another great thing about this disc is how it grabs the ground. Since the plastic is so soft it sticks where it hits making it great for approaches. As for stability, I was concerned that the disc being in a softer plastic that it would be less stable. It really isn't. Its got that same stability that you'd expect from a P2. Not as much as a fresh S line of C line would have but its definitely stable.

This review is specifically for the P-Line SOFT. I don't putt with the P2, so I cannot speak much to its performance in that arena. I do use P2's for stable putter driving and upshots. I prefer my approach discs in grippy plastic, so I was very excited to see that one of my favorite driving putters was available in one of my favorite approach plastics; R-Pro. I have an X-Line P2 that I also bought for that same purpose, but it only started out slightly stable (straight with small finish), and then beat into more straight / slight turn with limited to no fade (which it is still great to fill that different slot in my bag). I was expecting the same out of the P-Line Soft since these plastics are quite similar. I was wrong, but pleasantly so! The one I received (175g) is quite stable.

At approach power it will definitely hold straight for a bit, and then bite quite a bit at the end. It's a long, slow fade out, so if you give it a little height you can really get this thing to fade a long way laterally. On anhyzer release it will still fight out into a fade at the end (again, given the right height).

At driving speed it went straighter longer, and the fade was more forward penetrating than it was at that slower approach speed. I predict this disc will break in quite nicely for me. *incoming tangent* I use R-Pro Rhynos as my approach discs when I'm in range (225ft and in usually), and the one I have that is the most worked in is just STRAIGHT stable. Won't turn, won't fade. I am expecting this P2 to match that wear (given its the same plastic), except its longer than the Rhyno. This prospect excites me, and I will surely start to cycle P2's, in this plastic specifically, if that is the case. But for now, it is definitely going to be my longer approach / driving putter for stable finishing shots! Very pleased!
