Super reliable, my go to mid for any shot I need to fade hard. You can muscle up and push it out straight for a bit or just whip it around a corner, either way you can expect the same hard fade.

I just recently added the drone to my collection. I had no idea what I was missing out on. This disc is not as beefy as the numbers would suggest, which was only marginally disappointing. In my first game testing it out I aced a 240 ' hole and hit chains on a 275'. Since then I have used it all over the local courses with great confidence. The flight is overstable but not crazy. Great at any distance up to 300+ and sure in the wind. I use it as a putter in high winds, a driver in all conditions , and a midrange approach disc. I have this disc in Big Z and ESP FLX. They fly identically but the flx skips a bit less. Fades on every throw in a predictably imagined line. This is one of the few discs I have ever felt so much confidence with forehand and backhand. I will be getting a lot of these and using them at different levels of wear. I am happy to conclude that I have found my midrange disc after all these years. Added bonus this disc will not be going away any time soon. I am sick of my favorite discs being discontinued. I do not fear that with the drone. Discraft has been around for ages and everyone that throws this disc loves it.

This disc is what an Innova Roc should be.

I really don't think the Drone is as overstable as some say it is, however it is still my favorite midrange and will never leave my bag.

It's one of the discs that's so consistent in flight and feel in hand, similar to the Zone, just faster.

I love it for honestly every shot...FH, BH, anything. I know it will eventually bite back.

One warning...this thing does skip. Skips like a driver...I've lost some many birdies from throwing this great, but just having a bit wild of a skip!

I have Glo Flex LE and a Big Z Drone.  Both fly the same.  Big Z stamp is nice.  The Glo Flex LE is more grippy, so I tend to use it in the winter or when wet.  It doesn't matter much forehand, but backhand I notice the difference.

    I'm forehand dominant.

Forehand - slight hyzer and this pops up flat and dead straight for 250'.  Then, another 30-40' with a medium to hard fade depending on the wind.  It will skip a little, but not like a fairway driver.  I prefer to keep it low.

Backhand - nice meathook.  It can be putted around trees and obstacles.  A little shorter than an Anchor for me.

Wind - had a 30 mph wind day and I only threw my Drone and Felon (putted with the Zone).  The Drone was more controllable.  The Felon was getting air bounced around.

The rim initially bothered me a bit.  Loved the flight, but wanted to find a rim more like the Zone.  Tried to replace it with a Verdict, RocX3, and Anchor.  I can get good distance with these, but all turn unless I put them 70' in the air or throw at 70%.  I'm bagging a Trident, Drone, and 2 Zones now (in order of distance).  .

I'm comfortable from 120-270' with this disc.  300' takes a really good rip.

If you've been short on protien in your diet, this disc has all the beef you need. Very overstable, flicks nice, fights the wind, flexes back. It does skip a bit on the ground, so keep that in mind. Big Z looks sweet, very durable, maintains it's flight characteristics for a long time. It'll handle all the power you want to throw it with.

The Drone is a disc that is always in my bag.  The Drone is very overstable and has a very reliable hard fade at the end of its flight.  I love the the fact that the Drone is so reliable even in the wind I always know what this disc is going to do.  The Drone is not the best beginner disc.  You can throw the Drone with a lot of power and it will not flip.

At first I wasn't sure how to feel about this disc, but after playing a few rounds with it I've started to really like it. When I throw backhand I tend to release late but because of how overstable this disc it saves me almost everytime.

Exactly as advertised: it is a very overstable midrange. Good for hooking hyzer shots or shorter straight shots with heavy fade the the end. The rim is not my favorite, though it is a workable os disc. After not liking the rim however, I replaced it with the dd justice

Super overstable, excellent for windy days or those hyzers you need to finish out. With enough snap you can throw it on an anhyzer and it'll get a hard S curve to it. If you like to forehand this disc will be perfect for upshots, I'd call it the firebird of midranges.
