    Plastic: ESP

very solid. I think the lower glide is a huge plus for this making it for a very reliable and predictable approach midrange. I find mine has a good flight before fading.

I believe that this disc will be better for those with a little bit more touch and arm speed control. But this is a great slot filling disc for those looking for an overstable midrange

I have an ESP mono colored drone, and all I can say is it's nothing like the reviews I've read or the videos I've seen. It's very workable, has a little turn and fades hard.

I have a buzzz os metallic Z that's more stable, but less workable. Then I compared it to a esp Malta which the Malta had less turn but also less fade.

I would give the disc 5 stars if the flight numbers were changed.

This disc is really really great, however mine does not fly true to its listed flight numbers. Other reviews list this as a full beefcake, however mine has a very fair amount of glide before fading, which is definitely not 4 fade. It fades pretty hard, but not Tilt or Firebird hard. With enough juice, I've even gotten it to flip. This could just be the wear on the plastic, but ESP is usually pretty nice to me. I love it, but this is how it's flying since I pulled it out of the box. With Anhyzer, this shapes up really for scrambles. On Forehand, I can't put any anhyzer on it because it was simply not come out of it. This is where I think the glide really starts to show its true colors.

    Disc: Discraft ESP Drone, 175g

Feel: This disc feels pretty neutral backhand. It’s not that it feels bad, it just doesn’t feel great. The plastic is pretty good, it has some nice durability, and the grip is good. I’ve noticed that there tends to be quite a bit of correlation with plastic types and my releases. Much more so than it seems to be for most people. So I tend to be a bit more picky than most people with plastic types. This plastic is great, I like it a lot. It’s easy to get a grip on, but not so grippy that I hold on to it for too long. This disc sits in my hand pretty well forehand. Overall, there’s not really anything special about the feel.

Flight: Well. It is what it is advertised to be. A very overstable midrange. This disc truly flies like the numbers indicate and is one of the only discs I’ve ever thrown that truly warrants a 1 for turn. I picked up a Roc3 quite some time back looking for a midrange that would be somewhat overstable. I was a bit disappointed; it was not very overstable at all. It flew dead straight with a mild fade at the end. I never really tried any other overstable midrange until the Drone. I saw one of my buddies throw it, and it held a very impressive hyzer line. I decided to give it a try myself, and I was not disappointed. It holds hyzer lines like no other midrange. When I have some space to work with and I’m about 250 from the basket, I throw this disc a lot. I like to throw it a bit to the right of the basket (RHBH) and let it work its way back. When I throw forehand, I have a slightly harder time getting it to hold lines, but that’s due to my forehand not being very good. So I always go with big hyzer shots when I throw it forehand. This disc really won’t flip over if you throw it properly. I live in Oklahoma, so I know what wind can do to a disc. I’ve also learned to tell the difference between the flights of a disc that flips due to a mediocre release into a headwind, and a disc that flips simply because of the headwind. I have yet to see this disc flip solely due to wind.

Overall: Well. It’s in my bag. I love it. It’s everything I expected it to be. It lives up to the hype. What more is there to say? I am very happy with its flight, its feel is fine, and I almost threw it in from 260 feet when I was warming up the other day. If you have been thinking about whether or not you should get a Drone but are unsure as to whether or not it lives up to the hype, get one. You’ll quickly see that the hype is not unwarranted.

This is the best overstable mid I have ever thrown.  It has just enough glide to be useful but holds the hook flight path I want.  I have compared the Drone to a Tactic, Anchor, Rox3, Malta, Gator and others and this is the best.

I received this as a mystery add on my last order. This disc wasn't on my radar at all, but I have played with it now several rounds and I've been so happy with it. I've used it both sidearm and backhand with huge success. As advertised, it is very overstable. It has a big fade, but for me it's not a dump, but a gradual, predictable fade. I've found myself reaching for it more and more. Couldn't be happier they sent me this disc.

I received this disc as my mystery disc I add on to almost every order, and boy do I love it!  extreme overstable makes this a disc you want in your bag for those tight layups that require a big hook.
