As a throwing putter, the Atom is phenomenal. It will turn a tiny bit but not turnover unless you want it to and is generally laser straight on a flat release. Distance wise this thing is basically a midrange and its pushing on the lower end of my fairway driver range as well. I don't always bring it out of my bag for holes where I drive a putter because I'm worried it will go too far, 250-280ft dead straight is no problem for this disc, 300+ is more than possible with the right throw.  I've mostly been using it for the straight shot but it is also capable of shaping big turnovers.

I don't use the Atom regularly as a putting putter but I did give it a try. It's great for spin putts, especially long ones. I tend to favor a push/spush putt so this is not my go-to, but if there is a ceiling and I'm too far to go to a knee then I just spin this bad boy right at the chains.

If spin is your primary putting style, or you need a good throwing putter, then this putter is probably for you.

So straight and a great feeling in the hand. As a former ultimate player, I think most would like this disc! I use this anywhere up to 300ft. Going to buy another!

Putter that changed my game. Lost my putter to a lake and grabbed one of these at the pro shop during Covid lockdown and there were few options. So happy I did. Knocked several strokes from my game in a day. I now bag 4 of these in a few plastics. Each plastic is slightly different yet maintains the same feel. I can drive them just under 400' with a full flight hyzerflip and maintain confidence putting at any distance. Slight fade when new. Holds all shot shapes within reason. I broke one in by using it for one disc rounds a few times. That became my main putting putter over time. Cosmic Electron Firm is a bit OS. The proton is stable and is staying that way. The electrom soft is slightly US but still has a finish. Glide is perfectly suited to give enough without taking away. Trusty on windy putts. Bag a few and break one in for tailwinds. This disc flies like a cross between a discraft challenger and a westside maiden. I putt with all types of putts. Spin, push, spin, push, turbo, straddle, forehand. Before I would switch discs. Now I found the perfect medium for all putts and have the confidence to deliver better numbers with a consistent feel.

This is the only MVP disc I bag and I truly believe in the high praise I have given it.

Coming from someone who play for about a year or so as a kid and then picked it back up 18 years later this disc is perfect for all types of courses. Dropped a 100 footer the other day and when they say straight it was dead center!

The Atom is very similar to throwing an Aviar. The flight numbers are the same except the Atom is speed 3 whereas the Aviar is Speed 2. The main difference for me is that the Atom feels much better in my hand, so it makes for a great short ranged throwing putter for those shots just beyond the range of my jump putts. I love this disc because I can throw it fairly straight with no turn and just a gentle fade at the end. Lastly, I just want to mention that MVP's discs in general are quite visually appealing (to me at least) due to the different colored rubber edge.
