Electron Soft is MVP's mid-grade plastic, but with more flex and surface grip. While it is not a very durable plastic, it is liked for putters if you like great grip and flexible discs.

I bag the MVP Atom in Electron plastic as a main straight driving putter. During warmer months I use the Electron Firm plastic. However, in colder months I switch to the Electron Soft to help with grip, and when real cold the Soft plastic resembles the firmness of Firm plastic during summer. My experience with the Atom in Soft Electron plastic is that it holds the line that it is thrown on. My Atom in Proton plastic tends to have a tick more stability to it. And my Atom in Electron Firm plastic, which is beat in more, tends to have a tick less stability than the Soft.

Extremely underrated disc! Hands down my favorite disc in my bag and use it for most everything < 250 ft both forehand and backhand. It is an easy mid to flick consistently as it has a low profile and rim that feels like a fairway driver. Like most Trilogy discs it is a slightly less stable than the flight numbers.

Wish Westside would make it in more plastics.l...love to get a one in tournament and base plastic.

I use this for both upshots and my putting putter. I have an Electron Firm that is pretty beat up that I use for short par 3s or approach shots. It holds almost any angle that I put on it (will slightly fight out of an anhyzer if trying to flip around a tree for a short shot to the basket) but overall basically dead straight. For my putting putters, I have this in Electron Soft and I use a spush putt. Overall it flies very straight with a reliable fade if given enough distance to the basket. I love that I can shoot this straight from close, and if I miss I know it was my aim and not the disc. Great approach disc as well as putting putter for me.

I have been on a 2 year quest to find the right putting putter for me. I've putted with Magnets, Wizards, P2s, Aviars, Wardens, Links, and the list goes on and on. By mid 2020 I settled on the Link. I liked the shallowness and flat top and it was great for my mostly spin putt. Near the end of 2020 I started having consistency issues due to the bead and I was on the look out for a new disc.

The first disc I tried after the Link was the Warden. I had picked up 2 for my son for Christmas last year and I loved the feel in my hand. I practiced with them on my basket at home and was really starting to like them so I decided to take a drive to my local pro shop to grab a few. When I got there I decided to feel out all of the beadless putters they had. While I really liked the warden the putter I kept going back to was the MVP Atom. I ended up buying Atoms instead of the Wardens.

Now a lot of what I've said is personal to me. But if you've been looking for a shallow and beadless putter this is one of the best on the market. They are a point and shoot putter that doesn't need to be aimed on one side of the basket, just aim at the center pole and watch your put sink into the basket.

The Atom putter is one of the best I've thrown hands down. I currently run Neutron Atoms as a midrange/short drive disc and I use the Cosmic (and non-cosmic) Electron Soft Atoms. These putters have just the right amount of grip and flex. Just like the Neutron Atoms, these fly really straight but will maintain any hyzer/anhyzer line you put it on. In my experience, I've been able to putt out to 30 ft before seeing any fade. I highly recommend this disc.

NOTE: This is a copied review that I posted for the Cosmic Electron Soft Atom. I only copied it because I do not see any difference other than the color of the disc. Just like the Cosmic Electron Soft, the Electron Soft Atom is extremely reliable and a must have as a putter.

Review of a 174g MVP Electron Soft Atom putter.

As a putter, it has a medium depth and feels really comfortable in the hand (I have large, but not huge, hands). Plastic has a great grip in 45-60 degree weather (all I've been able to try in the spring...). I really believe that inside the circle in normal conditions, pretty much any putter will be as good or bad the person throwing it, and this one is no exception. This disc has a nice straight, neutral flight and grips the chains nicely. If I miss, it lands softly and sticks so the comeback isn't too far. So far, I like it, but maybe don't love it. It seems pretty easy to control, but doesn't seem to be a whole lot better than other putters I'm evaluating (Challenger, Luna, Spike). Getting much outside the circle, it's good and still has a very neutral, predictable flight. That said, I prefer something more stable from further distances so, if I miss, the disc will fade and stick closer to the basket.

As an approach disc, it has a nice flight. It is fairly understable, so into a breeze, it will gently flip and go right, even with a fair amount of hyzer. Might be useful if you want that and don't have a forehand. Downwind or without wind, I can get some nice flights out of it, but nothing that I can't get from any number of other discs. I did get some decent downwind forehand hyzer flip-to-flat throws in my fieldwork. The problem is that it feels a bit finicky, so it is really sensitive to hyzer angle. Although it's new to me, I wasn't looking at this as a thrower, so I doubt I'll invest the time in learning it. If it stays in my bag, it will be as a putter.

I have been putting with Atoms for over 4 years now. I originally started putting with the Electron Medium (regular Electron at the time) but when I switched to the Soft Electron Atoms, that's when my true love for these putters fell into place. They are a fairly neutral putter that will pretty much stay straight for you when putting and when throwing. Thrown with a lot of power, they will definitely turn over but they are not stupid flippy. Great putting putter, great driving putter, and great approach putter. All in all an outstanding disc with tons of plastics to chose from so you can really select which one works best for you. If you haven't picked up an Atom yet, make sure you do so!

The Atom putter is my favorite disc for putting.  The size, shape and feel of the soft plastic is extremely comfortable and makes it easy to throw the disc where you want it to go.  The slight fade is very consistent.  I only wish I had found this putter sooner, as it has made me unexpectedly want to retire some older putters to the practice box.

I chose it because I had seen a lot of pros using the MVP putters and wanted to try one.  Now that I have the Atom, it seems like it would be a great putter for players of all levels. I'm looking forward to trying more of MVP's discs.

The only reason I carry a second non-Atom putter is for more windy days when I need something a little larger and heavier to hold the line.

Wonderful putter all around. Absolutely love throwing it off the tee of anything under 240 ft, it will fly perfectly straight if you release it flat and if you put it on a hyzer it will flip up to mostly flat before having a gentle fade at the end. I keep one that's well beat in for shots that need to turn over slightly and just hold the angle. It's also my putting putter, I used to keep 3 different kinds of putters in my bag, now it's just the Atom!

This has become my go to putter. The electron soft is my choice within the circle. Proton outside circle or for short drives <150'.

Nice and straight with an easy to release rim. I personally am not a fan of beaded putters.

Very beginner friendly and good for smaller hands.

This would be my third ATOM purchased.  I really like the soft plastic for putting then use the regular electron plastic for upshots.  I have gone through many putters and still keep coming back to the ATOM.  Slowly but surely my bag will be GYRO!!

I picked up an Atom to try out as a straight approach disc when I decided to quit carrying a Mako. I wanted something with less glide that would go to ground more quickly. The first time I took the Atom out with me was quite windy and the Atom held every line I put it on in the wind--despite being a light disc. That round was the last round I experimented with a new approach disc, as the Atom got that spot in my bag.

I can use a bit of hyzer and it'll hold the line. I can put it out flat and it'll hold the line. I can turn it a bit and it'll hold the line. That ability to hold the line, coupled with minimal fade, makes it very useful for finesse placement shots.

This disc has changed my game. I unfortunately do not use it as my putting putter anymore but loved it while I did and wish I could get myself to switch back. But in the time it left the putting putter slot, it quickly became an unbelievably fun driving putter. The infititediscs description nails it. Fresh, it's incredibly straight and has a touch of fade, then as it beats in, it straightens out just about perfectly, then as it becomes very beat (mine is to the point of being warped it has been used so much) it will flip onto a nice anny line and ride it to the ground. This putter can fill the spot of a putting putter, a driving putter, or even a good putter to begin new players on. The only thing it shouldn't be used for is an overstable putter spot.

    Pros

    - Good beginner disc

    - Very predictable flight both fresh from the box and as it beats in

    - Electron plastic feels amazing even in poor weather

    Cons

    - None

This putter is money!  I had to put mine away and try some new putters, because i was sure there couldnt be anything better out there.  I was right, the Atom has the best feel in the hand of any disc ive ever touched.  It even makes a great field putter, although i wish it came in Neutron as Electron wont hold up to that for very long.  Electron soft grabs the chains harder than anything ive ever seen.

I first used the Atom during the 2015 MVP Circuit and instantly liked it. Previously I had been using various Aviars, and I liked them, but they didn't feel as good in my hand. I had tried some other putters with more shallow rims, like the Chief, and liked them, but nothing felt as good as the Atom.

At first I thought the Electron Soft was too gummy of a plastic for me, but as it became more broken-in, it started to feel just right. I would compare the stiffness of Electron Soft with the "medium" blends other manufacturers put out in their base-line plastics, perhaps even a little softer. I am kind of a "spush" putter (spin and push hybrid) and this plastic works well for my style. Because of the plastic's semi-sticky nature, it does tend to pick up some dirt, but for me that all just adds to the good feel of the putter.

One other aspect of the Atom in this particular plastic is that it seems to break in very quickly, and can taco/warp in strange ways. I am constantly shaping the putter, even though the small dents seem to have no effect on the functionality and flight of the disc; it is more of a routine I have with this individual disc that I have grown to like.

I think the Atom is a great putter for most conditions, it doesn't have a lot of stability so it may not work favorably in the wind for some. However, this putter works for me in all conditions and I can always rely on it. The Atom is a great strait flying putter, with a good amount of glide. It is fairly flat, and has a slightly shallow profile. I highly recommend giving this putter a try.

In my search for "the perfect putter" the Atom has been in my bag for a while now.  I prefer a shallower rimmed putter and the Atom instantly felt right.  At first I liked the soft center with a still rigged rim, however, after using it a while, I think I may need to switch to something a little more solid all around- maybe the normal version of this disc (instead of soft.)  I haven't thrown it much off the tee-pad, but for the times I have it seems to hold whatever line you give it.  Oh, and it does actract dirt quite well, I seem to find myself cleaning it off before my putts.

The MVP Atom in the Soft Electron plastic is the best putter I've ever used. Great grip, laser-like accuracy, plenty of glide, and the ability to hold any line you throw it on. Once you put it in your hand, you'll know!
