In a premium plastic, the atom is a neutral throwing putter that can hold straight for 90% of its flight, soft anhyzers for its entire flight, or hyzer lines without flipping up. Angle control is key with this disc, as a slight change in your release angle can completely change the line this disc takes. With this high responsiveness you can accomplish almost any approach shot if you know what angle to throw it on. Very versatile disc that will turn heads in the woods.

Nice, straight flight. The hand feel wasn´t for me. Deosn´t do anything spectacular, but is very dependable. I´ve heard good things about beat up ones, though.

Started out using my Proton Atom as an approach disc with a little fade at the end, but it's now my putter. Can get a nice whippy action on my spin puts and it stays put in the basket when it hits chains. I know a lot of people like soft  putters, but the hard, stiff proton plastic is ideal for my putting game. Now that it's been used by far, more than any other disc in my bag, the Atom is a slightly understable super straight flyer that I also use when I'm making an approach that needs my disc to follow an arrow straight line inside 150' feet or so.

Second Atom I have owned in the same plastic. This is my putter of choice for anything off the tee up to about 250ft and for more straight approach shots. Out of the box this just about perfectly matches the given flight numbers. However, probably due to heavy use, this quickly beats in to exhibit a slight amount of turn when I crank on it. Usually I put it on a slight hyzer, aiming directly at the target, it flips up to flat and glides straight for most of its flight and then softly fades at the end depending on the height I give it. It doesn't have very dramatic flights when I put sharper hyzer or anhyzer on it, it usually just follows whatever angle I give it straight to the ground. I did have issues turning it over when I bought my first one over a year ago but form and angle control have helped me master it pretty well. I did use this disc in electron plastic for putting at one point, but it is a bit too small for my large hands and I was having trouble releasing it with consistency.

This is my favorite driving putter. I have one in electron hard and one in proton. Out of the box, both are laser straight out to about 275. The electron plastic beats in nicely to hyzer flip or smooth anhyzer lines without turning and burning. The proton plastic starts with a gentle fade, and comes straighter and gains glide over time. This disc feels great in the hand with the same flight plate as the Envy. I use the electron Atom when I want the disc to sit where it lands and use the proton for a gentle skip or slide up to the basket. Highly recommend this disc to anyone who's looking for a straight driving putter.

I have been bagging this as a understable putter since i have not found a better option. I find the Atom to have some turn if you throw it hard and has almost no fade unless it is thrown high and soft.

I got this disc in an event last year and it has lived in my bag every day since. I still putt with the firm electron when inside 20, but I have a proton dinowars stamp and another in neutron, the two of which I alternate as my go to P/A discs from 25-190.  The latter two are firm enough, I can push to 280-90 dead straight. The goblin king stamp is sick, btw.

I bought two of these discs months back, hoping to find a new putter. I am personally a softer putter and do not pack heat behind my putts, putting a lot of focus on gliding in. The glide on both of them seemed to be absent at my lower speed. After rounds of having these drop rapidly in circle 1, I decided to quit bagging theses. Recency I have taken them out to throw off the tee, which believe they work better for decently. Long story short, do not expect much flight time at low speeds.

Truly is a straight flyer especially when thrown with purpose. Seems like if you knuckle down and give it a good rip it flys straight. I used it for a putter both used and new and can report that beating in dies not have a huge effect on the flight numbers or the basic thaught that it is a straight flyer. And seems to take to new players aswell as I have it in my guest bag and seems to be picked more often then other discs I will not mention.

if you like small rimmed putters  this might be for you. i have three different plastics of this mold i find my proton to be the most overstable but by that i dont mean its going to fade hard by any means it just ends up about ten feet to the left of its electron counter parts but can be powered up slightly more aswell the proton serves as my driving putter and i also use it for some up shots.

I would give a 4.5/5 to be honest.

I love this disc, I don't putt with it much but I use this disc off the pad for most of my drives under 200' and almost all my approach shots under 150'.  This is by far my favorite approach disc.  I seem to be able to keep this disc on a lower ceiling than other putters I drive with, and it really does keep a straight line and finishes very predictably for me when I put it on a hyzer line.  I don't throw many driving anhyzer lines with it though, I prefer a Discraft Comet or Axiom Alias instead for such shots.  I never feel like I over power this disc, I worry about putting too much power into a shot with most putters but this one I can throw with a lot of confidence that it will hold the line and not flip over.  While it does handle power well and it has a reliable finish, I still wouldn't trust it in a head wind.

I originally used the electron plastic versions (I didn't know they had other plastics in this mold) and they have great hand feel with a unique and desirable mixture of firmness with and easy-to-grip soft feel.  The firmness is what made it so desirable for me as a driving putter and approach disc, but unfortunately the disc was just soft enough to warp quite horribly after a few tree hits and just firm enough to accentuate the warping.  My original atom looks like it has a terminal case of the mumps.

Eventually I learned they made premium plastics of this disc and I immediately went out and found a proton version.  I have been using it for a few months now and it still feels great in the hand (though I do miss that softer electron feel a bit) and also has held up very well as I have noticed no deformations and wears very little in general.

Personally, I prefer a softer putter and for some reason I like beads on my putter as well (I use SSS wizard or Millenium Omega Big Bead), but if you want to use an election for putting I'd recommend the electron plastic.  If you are wanting more of an approach disc or driving putter I'd heavily recommend neutron or proton plastic for structural integrity reasons.

LEt me first start by saying I am a huge fan of the Electron Atom (10+). I have been putting with it since its release. The Atom is also my approach disc of choice as I can sculpt lines or go laser straight at the target. I was excited for the Proton release and upon arrival put it in my bag. I never Putt with the Proton version, but I have been using it for upshots. The Proton version seems to be a touch faster with more stability which can be good and bad. I have not been able to dial it in the way I have with the Electron version. It's a good disc, but I will probably go back to bagging 2 electron versions of the disc.
