The A2 is the beadless cousin of the A1. This disc is perfect for power throwers who want to avoid turning over their upshots, and who need a disc that they can trust in headwinds. The A2 is still very stable, but it has a bit more glide than the A1 does, and can be expected to fly 30-40 feet further than the A1.

I really enjoy throwing the A2, it is a great approach disc and also an option off the tee for some shorter holes.  Mine is in the 750 plastic, it is pretty stiff and firm with good grip.  It has the tiniest bit of dome which surprised me, I was expecting it to be board flat.  I find the A2 to be very comfortable for both forehands and backhands, it has a great shape and feel.  It's somewhat shallow and has a beveled edge.  It flies pretty true to the flight numbers, when thrown flat it fades pretty hard and usually ends up spiking into the ground.  Mine gets a decent amount of skip which is probably due to the 750 plastic.  Excellent approach disc that actually glides a little and can handle a lot of power.

In my group of friends I'm considered the best scrambler, one reason is the H1 but the other and much larger one is this disc right here. I found the zone too deep to forehand comfortably and felt this disc and immediately fell in love. It flies very similar to it's counterparts (zone, pig, jokeri etc) but probably a bit faster because of the way the rim is designed. If you're ever in trouble in the woods or need a solid and reliable approach disc this is it.

BEST OVERSTABLE PUTTER ON EARTH. After trying the Tactic, Pig and Zone in a search for the perfect putter speed apporach disc, I found it, The A2!! This disc feels amazing, it has a shallow lip unlike all the others I tried, and is the most overstable putter I have had. I got all of my friends throwing them now, they all ditched their zones, and wont stray from the A2. Try one!!!

    750 plastic, 175 grams.

The A2 is a very overstable, small-diameter approach disc. Can definitely be classified as a meathook.

For righty, sidearms/flicks, it has a predictable finish to the right. It will not turn over in a stiff headwind. It is currently in my back up throwers box, but it will be brought out for very windy tournament rounds.

If you're looking for something Like Sepo's super-reliable, beat-in A2 that he loves, go for a less durable plastic (350, 350G or 400).

Absolute staple for OS approaches or short drives. Flat profile is what you're looking for.

I reviewed the A2 a bit ago and now that the 750 plastic is out in it I figured I would re-up my review. I own the A2 in 300, 400, 450, and 750.

Feel: The A2 is a low profile approach disc that isn't quite a putter but not quite a mid, but closer to a mid to me. It feels very similar to a Westside Anvil to me but a little smaller diameter. Most A2s have a flat top but there are some domey ones out there like the 450 one I have. I'll focus on the 750 one most and compare it to the other plastics I have.

Plastic: 750 is stiff but also with a nice grip. This is pretty comparable in grip and and stiffness to Lucid/Opto/VIP from trilogy, but maybe a little stiffer and certainly more durable. The rim is stiffer on A2s in general but the 750 is kind of the sweet spot of stiffness and give compared to the other plastics. Feels much better in the heat than my 400 to me.

Flight: The A2 is somewhat in the category of the Zone, Harp, Entropy, etc. Its more overstable than those, and flies a little faster too. Like I said above its pretty close in feel to the Anvil and I think that's a really good comparison for the flight as well. I find that I can do more aggressive flex shots that will pan out compared to the above mentioned discs, while still being able to be touchy and have softer approaches work just as well.

Overall, the A2 just seems to kind of sneak back into my bag no matter how many times I try out my Zone again. The Zone and the Harp are great approach discs but the A2 just suits what I want a little better as far as flight and feel goes, but I wouldn't have an issue using something else if I had to. I think the 750 is what I really like for the A2. I would really like to beat up my 400 more to get it to be a good bit straighter as well just to really solidify it over the Zone. The 300 is working great in the meantime.
