The Volt was the first driver in the MVP line. This disc is designed for long, accurate placement shots. It holds a line very well, and the GYRO technology gives it a forward penetrating fade that make it ideal for long, tight fairways.

The Volt is the most workable fairway driver I have used before. Such a consistant fade and predictable flight. I like the anhyzer release, and the Volt will give such a nice and smooth flex. Absolutly love it.

A good friend of mine throws a lot of MVP plastic, so I asked for recommendations from their molds and this was first on his list and for good reason. I picked up a Neutron Volt, and it has quickly become my go to disc. Pretty much any hole between 270' and 320' I'll tee off with this bad boy. Flies straight with a reliable fade, and I can usually get a good skip with it as well. This disc gives me confidence standing over any shot, backhand or forehand. I'll be buying more of these in the future.

I have a fission Volt, 158gm.  It is my go to disc for straight shots, tunnel shots, occasionally for anhyzer shots (though it will fade back unless on a pretty sharp anhyzer). It is one of my most trusted discs. For context, I don't have a strong arm (max distance is around 300').  It flies very straight with a very slight fade.  I bought a second fission Volt (160gm) and it is quite a bit more stable.

My favorite disc off the tee. Absolutely love the fisson plastic, for me it has the right amount grip and rim size. I've used every plastic type minus the eclipse plastic. For me it has a nice fade at the end but once it beats in its a straight flyer. Love them.

I have this disc in Proton and Fission. First, the Proton flies closer to the numbers. But I am going to focus on the Fission as it is the best plastic MVP makes (still waiting on it to be offered on every mold) and second it really does significantly change the way discs fly by moving even more weight to the rim.  This creates inherent stability over different disc spin speeds and in this particular case, creates a disc that flies very similarly to the Innova TeeBird3.

Pros: Its a good 275-300ft disc. On a anhyzer release, it will hyzer out just perfectly.

Cons: Its more overstable than you might realize. it can be sensitive to heavy torque and turn for days.

It's really a great finesse disc that most player could find a use for in their bags.

Want a shot to go straight for 250-300? The volt is the answer.

I have it in fission at 167g. Love it. Great feel in the hand and inspires alot of confidence.

As they beat in you can have a hyzer flip tunnel driver.

Disclaimer... My arm speed is not amazing. so take this with a large grain of salt if you are a crush boi.

These Fission Volts straight bomb for a disc that isn't that fast. I was throwing it along side my speed 14 Kings and they were going only 30ish feet shorter and with amazing accuracy.

If your not sold on a fairway driver at the moment these are worth a shot, and if you need a beefier one the Neutron ones are really good also. A lot like a Thunderbird.

I have three Volt's, an electron 154g, a fission 163, and an eclipse proton 174 to cover every stability I would need. The electron 154 beat in quickly, as I tend to be a lumberjack, and turned into a pretty straight driver. I can probably get my best consistent distance with this disc. I use it anywhere between a very slight headwind and tailwind shots. The fission volt is used mainly for shots that I need need a little bit more fade or if there is a left to right breeze and I don't want it to drift too far right. The proton volt is significantly more overstable than the other two and I only use it for headwind shots that I still need distance on or on a shot where I need something that goes pretty far left but isn't crazy overstable. I also use this disc for my wimpy forehand but everything stated so far has been RHBH. I typically throw the electron volt 250-290 with reasonable accuracy. Anyone can find a volt that fits in the stable to overstable fairway slot if you carefully consider weight and plastic type. Everyone should get a volt..or three....

This has been a go to driver for me for a while now so I thought I'd share a review.  After learning what disc speed actually was and what speed I should be throwing I picked up a 158 Fission Volt and absolutely loved it, it threw very straight with a dependable fade for me ( I was throwing about 225ft at the time) .  Within a couple of weeks this disc beat in and started to get more of the -1 turn but also start to be a little too easy to turn and not come back.

I picked up a 168 version and got the same straight when new and then beat in to be more like its numbers very quickly.  Unlike the lighter disc the 168 did not tend to turn and not come back so it has been a great and very versitile driver.

I also have neutron, plasma, and eclipse Volts. I have found them to be a little more overstable and am expecting that when I get one properly beat in (those plastics seem to take longer) those will be very reliable discs for a long time.

this version of the volt is probably the most understable out of all the plastics. im not really a big fan of the fission air bubble plastic. on this particular disc it tends to turn super hard and hold that line when you release it flat. i use this disc primarily for water shots, the reason being is that it might float and i wouldnt mind loosing it if it went into the water. i throw this on a hyzer to get it to flip up and go straight before it has a big beefy fade. i wouldnt mind the disc if it was a little more stable. but for beginners i wouldnt recommend getting it in the fission plastic.

5 stars for me.  I do best with 9-11 speed drivers. This one is responsive but not too touchy. I can throw it with less power and get similar flight to full power.  It will hold lines. It does not flip on me. I've not used it too much to know how it will behave when well seasoned. I suspect next year it will fly like it's published numbers.

I'm throwing a 165 fission, which as heavy as I've seen a fission volt, so I guess it's 'max weight.' Fission plastic is better in wet grip than my plasma or neutron discs- to my fingers anyway.  I like the stiffer plastics for glide/distance. I've not tried the volt in any other plastic. I'll probably get one in electron for wet weather, at about the same weight for more turn.

Anyway this is a great tight-line driver for anything past mid range, and good for mid range shots where you need some hyzer placement.  It can hold lines and will fight out of a high anny shot. It's very useful and very comfortable.

for comparison, I'd say it's like a shorter krait or surge ss.  Mine's still pretty new, and turns less than my seasoned krait and surge ss discs. As far as beginner discs, I'd say it's good next disc once you max out your mid range discs.

I got this disc at 151 grams in the Fission plastic to be a driver for my wife to learn on. The one I got is super domey and extremely stable. Way to overstable for a beginner. I flat out cannot turn over this disc. Into a 30 mph headwind it turns, but it still comes back and fades hard. On the MVP fan forums it is commonly stated that the Volt is the most inconsistent mold they make and I believe it. I finally found a store that had several in stock and they were all almost flat. Mine is easily twice the height of the others I saw. It is a beautiful disc with the Infinite Blitzkrieg stamp, but I can't use it for what I wanted it for. It does hold a fantastic power hyzer line, and for now it is in my bag, but I am on the lookout for a disc that flies like a 150 Volt is supposed to.

This is my favorite disc.  It is beginner friendly if you have a big arm but aren't quite there with the technique and want to use this as your distance driver.  I see alot of people say MVP discs don't skip but my Volt in fission on a low hyzer skips just as well as any other manufacturers.  I've been using this as my main hyzer, utility disc and flex driver for 6 months now. Also, use it for thumbers and tomahawks.  Many trees have been smashed and walking paths spike hyzered, the disc has held up very well and my beginner arm still cannot find a way to get a -1 turn on this thing when thrown flat.  However, with good snap I can now get it to go dead straight with slight fade at the end, very slow to break in plastic.

This disc is the Valkyrie's big bag brother, that doesn't take shennanigans from anyone. As a speed 8, this disc will suprise you with its ability to reach out further than you expect. I feel like there is sometimes a misconception within the begginer community that you should always be moving up in speed in order to add distance to your drives, and while I do see merit in this, the Volt has shown me that it is absolutly acceptable to use slower drivers as you progress in the sport.

My Fission Volt has held up against some gnarly beatings, and I would really suggest the plastic type for this reason, as well as the killer Fission stamp ;)

I used to keep 3 Champion Valkyries in my bag and throw them on every hole that I played until I picked up this beauty, it has become my new go to driver to throw on every hole possible.

I won this disc at the 2015 MVP Circut and have since fallen in love with it. This was one of my first MVP discs and it has set out a good first impression I will use this disc for any kind of shot this disc is almost capible of everything it also tends to handle winds it is not one of those discs that if there is even the slightest breeze it blows away fission plastic also seems to be holding up I have already hit a few trees and all there is to show are a couple little scratches. This disc will also give you a little skip which tends to be helpful.

I tend to bag around 6 fairway drivers ranging from Firebirds to Amps. This disc has replaced all of them for me. Since I picked up the 165g Fission I find myself using it for just about every shot, it's got it all. If you've throw Volts before and didn't care for the heavy fade as I did, I'd encourage you to give this a try. As it slows down it just keeps going straight and finishs clean. Released on a hyzer it pops up flat and finishs with a nice skipping fade. Awesome disc!
