The Volt was the first driver in the MVP line. This disc is designed for long, accurate placement shots. It holds a line very well, and the GYRO technology gives it a forward penetrating fade that make it ideal for long, tight fairways.

This disc is a fantastic slightly overstable control driver. As someone that has been playing for about a year now and I use this as my overstable fairway. very reliable fade if I really get behind it might get some slight turn out of it but mostly just very reliable fade. for higher arm speed there will be a bit of turn but will still reliably fade at the end. As usual the mvp plastic feels great and is extremely durable.

I have this disc in electron, fission, proton and neutron plastics and proton definitely has more fade…around 3. It throws similar to the Terra. I enjoy this disc for forehands. It’s board flat and handles a lot of torque. Pay attention to plastic types because like a lot of discs, the flight will be different. The electron Volt out of the box flies like a slower Axiom Insanity in Neutron. Also something I’ve noticed with the MVP family of discs, the speed number is off by 1; as in “9” speeds fly like a “10” and “11s” fly like 12s”. Just check out the PDGA specs on rim width. All that being said. The Volt is a staple in my bag and usually bag 2 different plastic types.

I picked this disc (175g, Proton plastic) up as a potential replacement for a Star Firebird that had gotten too understable, as well as to dip my toes into MVP. It actually fit the slot quite well. Thrown hard it shows barely any turn, holding a straight line before fading out reliably. The fade on this disc is extremely unique. It penetrates forward as it fades, instead of just falling off to the side like most discs, so you wind up with 30 more feet than expected.

This is an excellent disc for tight spaces where fade is needed. Having some power is necessary to get this disc up to speed, so I wouldn't recommend it for beginners. It also is great for aggressive anhyzer lines, it will always fade to flat and avoid cut rolling. Overall, this is a very useful disc that fills the overstable fairway driver slot quite nicely.

The volt has finally filled a slot in my bag that I've been searching for for a very long time. Everyone has their go to slightly overstable fairway. I've tried teebirds, explorers, eagles, the exodus, and more but I've never really settled and been happy with any of them. I think the volt is the end of my search. I've been looking for the right flying and right feeling disc and finally I have it. It feels even better than the explorer which is my favorite feeling of the previous discs I've thrown and it flies even better than the eagle which was my favorite flying of the group. For my when I throw my volt, it will fly very straight for a long time then for the last 20% of its flight it fades pretty hard. Not quite as hard as the eagle but much harder than an explorer. That to me is that Goldilocks zone. Thrown on hyzer, it won't dump out but it will hold a long pushing hyzer the whole way. On anhyzer, the volt will hold over and try to pan and flex out of it making for either great forced turnovers or flex shots.

As far as feel goes, the volt fits perfectly in my hand. It's a little shallower than an eagle and much flatter. It still has a very slight dome but it is relatively flat. The overmold to me feels great in the hand and of course mvps plastic is just about second to none in my opinion.

Lastly, the volt glides for days. It's by far the furthest flying stable fairway I've ever thrown. Sometimes it'll compete with my max distance drivers for distance. It's truly incredible. I would fully recommend the volt to anyone and everyone. If you've been looking for a stable fairway, your search may just be over when you pick up a volt.

Probably the most important disc in my bag. Bought one at a tournament to fill a hole in my bag. Has been the most reliable forehand throwing Disc I have ever own owned, forehands good too. Always reliable with a mild consistent fade. It is my go to disc when my game has gone to hell or when I need a  shot to be perfect under 300' . Has never and will never leave my bag. 1 disc tournaments I use it or a envy.

Very solid Fairway Disc. Have used off the Tee box as well. Flies true to the numbers, seems to handle a bit more arm speed than the 8 suggests, however mine is still fairly new with little beat in time.

My proton Volt was the first disc I ever bought 10 years ago now and it still flies as true as ever. It has some built in turn now but the proton plastic is so sturdy I still can't turn it over unless released on annie. Fantastic for tunnel shots or needing something to trust in some wind, this disc is hands down my favorite disc ever made. It taught me backhand, forehand, overhand, you name it. 100% recommend for all skill levels, beginners this is your distance driver, advanced players here is your 300-350' trust shot tunnel or air.

I picked up a Volt from my local pro shop years ago, and slept on it for a couple years. I finally bagged it, and fell hard for it. I now bag 3 of them at different degrees of wear. It's easily the most thrown driver in my bag. These replaced the Innova Eagles I had prevously bagged.

A brand new one will have a consistent fade, and fight back from just about any anhyzer line. Once it's worn in, it flies extremely straight with just a slight fade at the end. I can still put a good amount of torque on my most worn in volt without it flipping too much.

This was my first MVP disc and made me fall in love with the company. I shortly after switched to MVP/Axiom only because of this disc. Great straight disc with some fade to end, sweeping hyzers, great forehand to withstand the pressure.

This disc also left my bag for a few months. If you are not consistent on nose angle it can be a very inconsistent disc.

This disc is back in my bag now, with it beat in I find that a consistent nose down angle gets a quick flip and holds the line. Once I realized this it became a excellent sneaky long disc.

The MVP volt is an early entry to their line up but one that definitely is one of their better molds. The volt has a medium sized rim and typically a very flat profile to it (virtually no dome on most of the ones I've seen) which makes the grip very comfortable for most throws and most styles. The volt I've tested was 175g in proton plastic and as mentioned quite flat.

The Volt has a nice high speed stability to it, the disc will not turn but it will carry for a long ways while not having too much glide with a pretty reliable progressive fade to it. This disc with some wear is one of those discs that will really hold about any line you place it on and while this disc has decent stability it may not hold up well to a strong forehand play as I found it would tend to turn over a bit more than I'd like. The Volt's wheel house is shots in the 300ft range and will really work to most situations. It's utility is somewhat limited but from what I've done with it so far its strength in its backhand performance really outweighs the sections it lacks.

The Volt is a good disc to throw into mild wind conditions it will fight a moderate headwind with ease and come back and it is not so stable that it would completely drop in a tailwind.

The volt is very much so a decent disc for beginners and would make a great first driver in the more baseline electron plastic, it pairs nicely with a premium plastic volt to use for overstable shots.

Overall the Volt is a solid work horse driver for a back hand thrower and while it may not have the best glide or the most versatility in forehand to its competitors or its a solid pick. I would say if you are looking for more distance and more stability step it up to a Tesla (or vice versa).

This is the disc that made me fall in love with the mvp line, it's an excellent, controllable straight flyer that is comfortable to throw forehand and backhand. I could have asked for a better fairway driver to learn with and to use for technical lines. The proton plastic seasons nicely the more you throw it but never becomes too understable.

If you understand the physics of the flight numbers than this disc will always do exactly what you want it to do. It has the smoothest slow hyzer line I've seen out of any driver when thrown at speed. If you give it a bit more spin or speed than the numbers call for then you will see a bit of turn that gives you some extra distance. It is also supposedly a great forehand disc but I have not practiced that enough. I'm a backhander.

I have this and the amp and I find the amp is easier to use and would rarely use this disc. It was not until recently that I started to use this disc and I have been able to get great flight out of this disc. I play in wooded courses and the disc can fly right around some tries with a little hyzer and come right back where I want it. Great disc and will continue to use it!

MVPs iconic fairway driver - much like the Tesla I feel like this disc is solid but I have a hard time fitting it in my bag. It isn't long enough to justify as a distance driver, nor short enough to justify as a fairway/mid utility disc. It makes a decent s-curve line, but I can throw other distance drivers longer, and other fairway drivers more controllable. It is a disc capable of doing a lot of things - just nothing the absolute best. It would make for a decent disc if you were limited to a three-disc bag setup.

this is one of my favorite discs that i own. it is a staple in my bag and is never going anywhere. you can put about 300ft. worth of power and it will some turn to it before it fades back the proton plastic seems a bit more stable than the fission plastic, i want to try out a plasma plastic volt to see how that flies. but i love my proton volt with low power it has a nice hook to it and on a hyzer with max power it flies pretty straight with a nice reliable fade to it. the furthest i have been able to throw it is about 320ft. im pretty sure there are people out there that can crush this disc but im still fairly new to the game. all in all this is one of my go to fairway drivers.

I love this disc, it's one that I initially had eclipse proton plastic and it was a great flyer for me. It was more overstable than I had expected more similar to the lines of a Innova Teebird. I now own 2 proton volts and am currently bagging the Infinite Stamp Volt, it's a disc that I think will turn into my go to driver. For the courses in my area my power usually is a bit much, and this disc I can throw full power and not over-do it too much.

It's a great control disc, that will fly beautifully when thrown well. It fades nicely on RHBH shots, and I've used it effectively on some flick shots as well. It's a disc that I plan on keeping in my bag for a long time, due to its amazing versatility.

It's a great disc for beginners that have a bit more power/are in need of a solid control driver.

I have a max weight blue metal flake proton volt and it is a really fun disc. Maybe it's because of the metal flake but I rate this disc 9/4/-.5-1/3. I reach for this disc when I need more distance than my Thunderbirds or when I need an accurate spike hyzer from 200 - 250 feet because it isn't as effected by the wind as my other FD's. The Volt is extremly comfortable in the hand (it does not feel as high speed as it is) lending to added confidence on release. Further this disc can take as much power as you can give it it has never turned and burned on me. Honestly I have other discs that do the job of the Volt but I can never see myself taking it out of my bag the confidence and consistancy this disc gives me has earned its residence in my bag. If you're looking for accurate distance but aren't ready for a distance driver look no further than the volt.

Just picked up the volt a couple days ago in the photon plastics.  The volt is pretty stiff and just feels well made. It's has very little dome. I'm still working on my back hand. I throw this disc forehand so I can get extra snap that I personally can't do back hand yet. For me this disc is my tunnel shot disc. It throws flat straight and has little fade and goes where I want or at least in my ability. I will be looking at more mvp discs

Nr. 1 fairway driver for me. I have a heavy one, so when I release it flat, it goes straight and fades quite quickly, but still predictably. Release in hyzer and it keeps it, even when flying low above the ground, while with an anhyzer release, you get a nice s-curve, which can be mastered with a little practice. Also the outter softer rim is really durable, so I use it in woods and for short, straight forehand rollers.

If I could only have one driver, this would be it. I tend to max out around 350ft (I have thrown further, but can hit 350 consistently) and the 171g Proton Volt I have is an extremely predictable and controllable driver for me. It flies much like the numbers state - very little high speed turn with a nice, gentle forward fade. I find myself turning to the Volt in more and more situations. It will hold a nice anhyzer, but fades to straight before it hits the ground. It will also go dead straight or even hold a hyper line. For me, it throws equally comfortable backhand or forehand. Lately, I've been leaving my bag in the car and carrying a maximum of 6 discs just to change things up. The Firebird, Volt, and Roadrunner make up my driver section with the Volt getting about 75% of the action! MVP hit it out of the park with this one. If I could only have one driver, this would be it. Great disc!

First Proton Volt review! My new Proton Volt came in the sky blue color, 175 grams. I didn't think it was possible, but I am more in love with the Volt now that I've thrown the Proton. I got to throw a lot of shots with this disc, so I'm pretty sure I got a feel for it. On backhand shots, this disc is very stable for me. More stable than Neutron. If I want max distance throwing backhand, I have to release it with a little anhyzer and rip through it hard to make it stay straight. This disc still finishes left every time. It's going to be great into a headwind and I love throwing hard hyzers with this disc because it's still very fast.

I found that I am using the Proton Volt for sidearms more than backhands. This is because of the added stability of the Proton plastic. When flicked softly or with hyzer, it has a hard diving flight to the right. When given more power, it flips up flat, sometimes turns, keeps going forward, and finishes back to the right. This disc can also come out of an anhzyer sidearm release, but it needs enough air to be able to stabilize. Oh, I also love this disc for thumbers. So, if you're looking for a fast and stable fairway driver or the Neutron Volt wasn't stable enough for you, pick up a Proton Volt. DO IT NOW!

My newest disc in my bag. I hear and read the hype about gyro technology and MVP will be the new leader in discs. I bought the Volt reading it flies like a beast my favorite disc. I tried both sidearm and bachand. Sidearm for me flew very understable would not fade back at all. But then I threw it Backhand and this disc just kept going. I out threw my beast by 20ft. If you want a smooth straight with very little faid disc this is the one for you. And with the release of the proton plastic in a few days it will look awesome as well.

I'm loving this disc. Has a great feel in the hand. I prefer a smaller rim to really grip down and this has it. With a nice snap.it will pop up and flight on a string for most of its flight with a nice fade at the end. Not.a huge amount of skip which is nice. Not sure how it will react to a lil wear and tear but right now its working perfectly.
